<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The aim of this work is to prepare and evaluate a novel lipid-polymer hybrid liposomal nanoplatform (hyaluronic acid-magnetic nanoparticle-liposomes, HA-MNP-LPs) as a vehicle for targeted delivery and triggered release of an anticancer drug (docetaxel, DTX) in human breast cancer cells. We first synthesize an amphiphilic hyaluronic acid hexadecylamine polymer (HA-C16) to enhance the targeting ability of the hybrid liposome. Next, HA-MNP-LPs are constructed to achieve an average size of 189.93±2.74nm in diameter. In addition, citric acid-coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are prepared and embedded in the aqueous cores while DTX is encapsulated in the hydrophobic bilayers of the liposomes. Experiments with coumarin 6 loaded hybrid liposomes (C6/HA-MNP-LPs) show that the hybrid liposomes have superior cellular uptake in comparison with the conventional non-targeting liposomes (C6/MNP-LPs), and the result is further confirmed by Prussian blue staining. Under near-infrared laser irradiation (NIR, 808nm), the HA-MNP-LPs aqueous solution can reach 46.7°C in 10min, and the hybrid liposomes released over 20% more drug than the non-irradiated liposomes. Using a combination of photothermal irradiation and chemotherapy, the DTX-loaded hybrid liposomes (DTX/HA-MNP-LPs) significantly enhance therapeutic efficacy, with the IC50 value of 0.69±0.10μg/mL, which is much lower than the values for DTX monotherapy. Consequently, the prepared hybrid nanoplatform may offer a promising drug delivery vehicle with selective targeting and enhanced drug release in treating CD44-overexpressing cancers.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Novel polymer-lipid nanohybrid liposomes for active tumor targeting are synthesized. </LI> <LI> Magnetic nanoparticles and drug are encapsulated for photothermal-chemotherapy. </LI> <LI> Nanohybrid liposomes significantly enhance cellular uptake to breast cancer cells. </LI> <LI> Near-infrared light can trigger drug release from the nanohybrid liposomes. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Improved Inference for Human Attribute Recognition using Historical Video Frames
Ha, Hoang Van,Lee, Jong Weon,Park, Chun-Su The Korean Society Of SemiconductorDisplay Technol 2021 반도체디스플레이기술학회지 Vol.20 No.3
Recently, human attribute recognition (HAR) attracts a lot of attention due to its wide application in video surveillance systems. Recent deep-learning-based solutions for HAR require time-consuming training processes. In this paper, we propose a post-processing technique that utilizes the historical video frames to improve prediction results without invoking re-training or modifying existing deep-learning-based classifiers. Experiment results on a large-scale benchmark dataset show the effectiveness of our proposed method.

The paper aims to investigate the impacts of long-term savings motives on fostering household participation and contribution to savings mechanisms in rural Vietnam. The paper is organized in five parts: introduction, data description, methodology, empirical results, and conclusion. The quantitative methodology is employed and three simultaneous estimation methods, including instrumental variable model, two-step model, and Heckman model are used to test these impacts as well as the robustness of results. In each model, the paper examines the impacts of independent factors on both household participation and household contribution to savings mechanisms. Two sets of independent variables: long-term savings motives (profit-making investment, accumulation for big expenditure, providing for old age, and cost of educations) and control variables (dependency rate, number of people in household, and household wealth) are in each model. A set of dataset of 2,314 households for analysis is obtained from household survey in rural Vietnam. Robust statistical findings indicate that profitmaking investment emerged to be the strongest motive fostering household participation to savings mechanisms while other long-term savings motives have little or no impact on fostering household participation to savings mechanisms. In addition, education investment encourages household contribution to savings mechanisms in rural Vietnam.

Reversible metal electrodeposition (RME) windows are a promising material for electrochromic windows and electronic display applications. However, the lifetime of RME devices is a major drawback in the preparation of commercial and practical devices. In this study, we propose a new strategy to prolong the stability and improve the efficiency of RME devices. By using tungsten oxide, a well-known electrochromic material, to modify the surface of a transparent conductive electrode, superior, stable, and highly effective devices were prepared successfully. By applying a low potential of − 0.8 V to 0.5 V, the RME device can quickly switch between a bleached state and colored state with different colors changing from transparent to black and deep blue. The performance improvement of the RME device can be explained by the simultaneous reduction of tungsten oxide and metal ion deposition in the conductive substrate under an applied potential. Furthermore, the lifetime of the device increased significantly (over 1500 cycles) owing to the shielding role of tungsten oxide film in the acid medium, which is an indispensable component of reversible electrochromic devices.
Factors Affecting Tourists’ Satisfaction in Associated Tourism Chains
Ha NGUYEN VAN,Thi Kim Hao DO,Thi Viet Ha NGUYEN,Ngoc Tien NGUYEN 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.6
Tourism is an interdisciplinary, inter-regional, inter-territory integrated economy; therefore, the construction of an associated tourism chain will help localities in the region take greater advantage of tourism resources and tourism products to meet the diverse needs of visitors (UNWTO, 2013). This research seeks to identify the factors affecting the satisfaction of tourists in the associated tourism chain in four central provinces of Vietnam – Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak. The study surveyed 1,361 tourists who have participated in an affiliated tour chain in these provinces during the March–April 2020 period. The survey was conducted online with the help of Google Form and the data collected were processed using descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, and regression analysis. The research results show that two main factors are affecting the satisfaction of tourists in the associated tourism chain in the above regions, namely, (i) tourism resources (cultural beauty in localities in the associated tourism chain, local cuisine in the affiliated travel chain, natural landscapes/local attractions in the linked tourism chain, etc.); and (ii) tourism environment (the climate in localities in the associated tourism chain, the clean and fresh environment in localities in the associated tourism chain, etc.).
Ex Post Monitoring and Loan Repayment Performance in Rural Vietnam
Van Dung HA,Truong Thanh Nhan DANG 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.8
Loan monitoring is a fundamental element of credit control. The importance of loan monitoring is to reduce loan defaults and to increase loan repayment performance. The ex-post monitoring can also increase the loan quality and thus a concern to many creditors in the market economy. This study identifies the role of ex-post monitoring on loan repayment performance in the context of rural Vietnam. Employing primary data from rural areas of Vietnam, this study investigates the impacts of ex-post monitoring on loan repayment performance of individual borrowers in terms of on-time loan repayment and the rate of loan repayment. Descriptions of borrower demographics, loan information, and ex-post monitoring show the initial picture of borrowers and loans in Vietnam’s rural areas. Quantitative estimations that use the Probit and the Tobit model confirm the argument that better ex-post monitoring would result in better loan repayment performance in both on-time repayment and repayment rate. Thus, some policy suggestions have been made to improve the monitoring system in each financial institution. The study also indicates that some other factors too affect loan repayment performance such as borrower’s characteristics (education, agricultural working area, and income) as well as loan’s characteristics (loan size, maturity, and loan purpose).
