The [$^2H_5$]phenylalanine model was compared with the [1-$^{13}C$]leucine method to determine whole body protein synthesis (WBPS) and degradation (WBPD) in sheep fed at two levels. The animals were fed either 103 (M-diet) or 151 (H-diet) kcal $ME/kg^{0.75}/day$ once daily in a crossover design for 21 days each. The isotope dilutions were simultaneously conducted as a primed-continuous infusion of [$^2H_5$]phenylalanine, [$^2H_2$]tyrosine and [1-$^{13}C$]leucine on each dietary treatment. The WBPS and WBPD calculated from the [$^2H_5$]phenylalanine model were lower (p = 0.009 and p = 0.003, respectively) than those calculated from the [1-$^{13}C$]leucine method. The WBPS tended to be higher (p = 0.08) and WBPD was numerically higher (p = 0.33) for H-diet than M-diet in the [$^2H_5$]phenylalanine model, whereas the WBPS was numerically higher (p = 0.37) for H-diet and WBPS remained similar (p = 0.79) between diets in the [1-$^{13}C$]leucine method. However, the absolute values and the directions of WBPS as well as WBPD from M-diet to H-diet were comparable between the [$^2H_5$]phenylalanine model and [1-$^{13}C$]leucine method. Moreover, the values vary depending on the use of the respective amino acid contents in the carcass protein when calculating WBPS and WBPD. Therefore, it is concluded that the [$^2H_5$]phenylalanine model could be used as an alternative to the [1-$^{13}C$]leucine method for the determination of WBPS and WBPD in sheep.
High Efficiency Operation for H-Bridge DC-DC Converter
K. Okura,T. Nabeshima,T. Sato,K. Nishijima,H. Yajima 전력전자학회 2011 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2011 No.5
This paper presents two methods of switching operation for higher conversion efficiency and seamless control for wide range of the input voltage in a H-Bridge DC-DC Converter. This converter consists of buck and boost blocks and a feedforward control from the input voltage is employed for the boost block to realize seamless transition between step down and step up operation mode. From the view point of the conduction loss and the switching loss, two methods of the desirable duty ratio of the boost section and different switching frequencies are examined. As a result, higher efficiency was obtained by minimizing the duty ratio of the boost block for wide range of the input voltage and by decreasing the switching frequency of the buck block without increasing output ripple voltage.

We report the first measurement of the lepton forward-backward asymmetry A(FB) as a function of the squared four-momentum of the dilepton system, q(2), for the electroweak penguin process B -> X(s)l(+)l(-) with a sum of exclusive final states, where l is an electron or a muon and X-s is a hadronic recoil system with an s quark. The results are based on a data sample containing 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs recorded at the gamma (4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider. A(FB) for the inclusive B -> X(s)l(+)l(-) is extrapolated from the sum of 10 exclusive X-s states whose invariant mass is less than 2 GeV/c(2). For q(2) > 10.2 GeV2/c(2), A(FB) < 0 is excluded at the 2.3 sigma level, where sigma is the standard deviation. For q(2) < 4.3 GeV2/c(2), the result is within 1.8 sigma of the standard model theoretical expectation.

Based on the state-of-the-art ab-initio electronic structure calculation by using the Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker coherent-potential approximation (KKR-CPA) method with the local density approximation (LDA) and self-interaction corrected LDA (SIC-LDA) to go beyond the LDA, we propose a unified physical picture of 3d transition-metal-doped dilute-magnetic-semiconductors (DMS) in II-VI compound semiconductors, such as ZnO, ZnS, ZnSe and ZnTe. Zener's double-exchange interaction and super-exchange interaction mechanisms are competing in the magnetism of II-VI DMS. In a homogeneous system, the electronic structure calculated by using the SIC-LDA and the Curie temperature (TC) in a Monte Carlo simulation with the LDA is in good agreement with the experimental data of photoemission spectroscopy and the experimental value of TC. In a inhomogeneous system, we propose the three-dimensional Dairiseki phase and the one-dimensional Konbu phasecaused by spinodal nano-decomposition. These are responsible for the high-TC (or TB) phases in the DMS. We design the growth position and control the shape of nano-magnets by using self-organization. H. Ishigami,M. Shiro,M. Sumita,S. Sato,T. Hori,Y. Tsunashima 한국물리학회 2003 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.42 No.IV
The title compound C4H12NII2 was prepared addition of iodine to a tetramethylammonium iodide. The crystal showed anomalies at 218 K, 238 K and 308 K on dierential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurement, whereas the crystal of tetramethylammonium iodide showed no anomaly. Crystal was grown by slow evaporation from an ethanol solution at 298 K. The crystal structure of orthorhombic C4H12NII2 of room temperature determined by use of a Imaging Plate diractometer is space group Pnnm, a = 14.115(1) A, b = 10.0997(7) A, c = 8.3019(5) A, V = 1183.5(3) A3, Z = 4. The present work reports the details of the crystal structure and phase transition of C4H12NII2.

Crystal Dependence in Micro Scratching of Carbon Steel
H. TANIYAMA,H. EDA,J. SATO,J. SHIMIZU,L. ZHOU 한국트라이볼로지학회 2002 한국트라이볼로지학회 학술대회 Vol.2002 No.10
In order to produce micromachined parts with a great dimensional accuracy, it is important to clarify the influence of heterogeneity and/or discontinuity of workpiece materials on the micromachining process, because almost all structural materials are composed of heterogeneous and/or homogeneous crystal grains at the micro scale. Experiments where JIS S25C steel had been scratched with a diamond triangular pyramid indenter were conducted under a field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). The difference of plastic deformation at a groove scratched between a pearlite zone and a proeutectoid ferrite zone was investigated through comparison with the groove scratched of a pearlite zone and a proeutectoid ferrite zone.
