An analysis of the annual frequency of collapse(AF) is performed for each maritime bridge pier exposed to ship collision. From this analysis, the impact lateral resistance can be determined for each pier. The bridge pier impact resistance is selected using a probability-based analysis procedure in which the predicted annual frequency of bridge collapse, AF, from the ship collision risk assessment is compared to an acceptance criterion. The analysis procedure is an iterative process in which a trial impact resistance is selected for a bridge component and a computed AF is compared to the acceptance criterion, and revisions to the analysis variables are made as necessary to achieve compliance. The distribution of the AF acceptance criterion among the exposed piers is generally based on the designer's judgement. In this study, the acceptance criterion is allocated to each pier using allocation weights based on the previous predictions. To determine the design impact lateral resistance of bridge components such pylon and pier, the numerical analysis is performed iteratively with the analysis variable of impact resistance ratio of pylon to pier. The design impact lateral resistance can vary greatly among the components of the same bridge, depending upon the waterway geometry, available water depth, bridge geometry, and vessel traffic characteristics. More researches on the allocation model of AF and the determination of impact resistance are required.
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus를 동반한 Multiple sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis and lupus erythematosus are chronic, potentially disabling diseases of unknown cause. It is a rare occasion that the finding of both diseases occurs in one patient. Because both diseases may affect the central nervous system, it may be difficult at times to differentiate symptoms of lupus erythematosus from those of multiple sclerosis. As far as we know, there was no case report of SLE in multilple sclerosis in Korea. We report a case of multiple sclerosis accompanied by SLE.

일반적으로 어떤 약제가 특정한 환자에게 부작용 없이 사용되었다면 다음에 재사용할 경우에도 부작용이 발생하지 않을 것이라고 생각하기 쉽다. 저자들은 항갑상선제로 성공적으로 치료했던 그레이브스병 환자에서 재발한 경우 항갑상샘약제인 프로필티오유라실을 재투약한 후 발생한 무과립구증을 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Antithyroid drugs are the most common treatment modality for Graves` disease and are used for the treatment of relapsed Graves` disease in Korea. Agranulocytosis is a rare and severe complication of antithyroid drug therapy, and most cases occur within 3 month after drug treatment. Agranulocytosis can develop in patients who have relapsed Graves` disease and undergo a second course of antithyroid drugs with a prior uneventful course of drug therapy. We report a case of antithyroid drug-induced agranulocytosis in a relapsed Graves` disease patient who had undergone prior uneventful antithyroid drug therapy. This paper is to analyze the past and present consumption pattern of fishes aquacultured in maine waters and thus to draw the policy direction to enhance the competitiveness of marine fish aquaculture in Korea. At present, the volume of meat consumption is surveyed to be more than that of marine fish, but it is revealed that fish consumption will become more increasing in the future according to the rise of the income. The survey shows that the consumption of fish is highest in the fall, and among the various patterns of consumption, live fish, so-called susi, is surveyed to be highly dominant. It is revealed that fish is enjoyed because of the special savor, diverse nutrients, and the prevention of adult diseases. Natural fish is revealed to be more preferred to aquacultured one due to the sticky flesh quality and the low probability of the remained after the production process antibiotics, so that it is necessary to enhance the taste quality and make a clean cultivation to capture more market demand. Consumption of high-quality fish seems to become high in more than middle class and consumption of fish are estimated to increase in the future, more than that of meat if income level of the people increases. Also, if we try to make our high-quality fish become popular among the public and competible with the imported fish from abroad, it is recommended that they must lower production price by cost reduction and try to differentiate it by taste and environmental safety, etc. It was revealed that the significant factor in demand function for fish is income and it is almost the only factor affecting that demand. Also, it was revealed that the most significant factor affecting preference of fish is income and it is almost the only factor affecting the preference. Therefore, we can ascertain that if proper goods can be distributed, demand for and preference of fish may increase according to the increase of income in the future.
