Design of Middleware for Interactive Data Services in the Terrestrial DMB

In this letter, we introduce a new middleware architecture and its generic application programming interface (API) (called the T-DMB MATE API) for terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (T-DMB). Middleware in T-DMB enables inter-operable applications to be downloaded from both broadcast and telecommunication networks in advance and to be executed in any type of T-DMB receiver. The middleware we introduce here is especially designed to support a proposed method for application provisions applied to a concept of application module appropriate to the service environment of T-DMB. We also verify the designed T-DMB MATE API through the implementation of the middleware and its application in a PC-based receiver.

MV-HEVC 기반 TMIV 에서의 성능 개선

본문에서는 TMIV 에서 비디오 코덱으로 사용되고 있는 HEVC 를 MV(Multiview)-HEVC 로 대체한 실험결과를 소개하고 부호화 효율을 향상시키기 위한 아틀라스 생성 구조에 대해 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 푸루닝(pruning)된 패치를 패킹한 아틀라스 영상으로 구성된 MIV 앵커(anchor)에 MV-HEVC 를 적용하는 구조, 소스 시점영상으로부터 선택된 기본 시점영상으로만 패킹한 아틀라스 영상으로 구성된 MIV view 앵커에 적용하는 구조를 실험한다. 이와 더불어 부호화 효율을 향상시키기 위해 선택된 기본시점 영상을 패킹함에 있어서 2 개의 아틀라스영상에 걸쳐 가장 인접한 시점을 배치하는 아틀라스 영상 구조를 제안한다. 실험결과, 기존의 MIV 앵커에 MV-HEVC 를 적용하면 성능 개선이 거의 없으며, MIV view 앵커와 제안한 MIV view 앵커의 아틀라스영상 구조에 MV-HEVC 를 적용하면 객관적인 성능이 최대로 얻을 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

대학생들의 정신건강에 관한 문헌고찰

본 연구는 대학생들의 정신건강문제를 확인하기 위해 심층면담과 문헌고찰을 통해 실시하였다. 대학생 16명을 대상으로 ‘정신건강에서 나타나는 가장 어려운 문제는 무엇인가요?’ 라고 질문을 하고 이에 대한 심층면담을 분석하였다. 이들이 말한 정신건강문제로는 음주·수면·우울·스트레스 등 4가지 영역으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 대학생들의 정신건강에 어려운 문제점이 무엇인지 자세히 확인하기 위해 문헌고찰을 하였으며, 이를 기반으로 정신건강관리 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다. This study was conducted through in - depth interviews and literature reviews to identify mental health problems among college students. The questionnaire asked 16 college students about "What is the most difficult problem in mental health?" And analyzed the in-depth interviews. For their self-management, their major mental health problems such as drinking, sleeping, depression, stress Four areas. The purpose of this study is to develop a mental health management program based on the review of literature to find out what difficult problems are associated with mental health of college students.

지상파 DMB에서 주파수 이용 효율을 개선하기 위한 방법

본 논문은 지상파 DMB에서 각 서비스 사업자들을 위해 이미 할당된 주파수 블록(block)들간 가드밴드내에 신규 블록을 추가로 할당함으로써 주파수 이용 효율을 높이기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문은 특히 6 MHz TV 대역내에 이미 할당되어 서비스 중인 현재의 지상파 DMB 서비스와 역방향 호환성을 유지하면서 주파수 가드밴드 영역을 최대한 활용하기 위해, 종래의 송신 시스템에 새로운 서브캐리어를 삽입하고 단일 6㎒ 주파수 대역의 전송신호를 생성하기 위한 방법을 제시하고 있다. 본 논문에서의 제안한 방법을 활용하면, 서비스 사업자 입장에서는 가변적인 주파수 대역폭 이용을 통해 좀 더 다양한 서비스 모델을 구상할 수 있고, 사용자 측면에서는 단말 상황에 따라서 기본적인 서비스부터 고품질의 모바일 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공받을 수 있을 것이다.

This article, with the help of statistics and socio-cultural methodology, examines the problem of Korean-Chinese violence in Korea. The results of the analysis of the statistics indicate that the total crime rate of Korean-Chinese was much lower than Korean. Felonious crimes (such as murder) is now less than Korean, domestic alien groups. However the violent crime rate is higher than for other foreigners, in that it approaches the Korean violent crime rate. Immigration and the violence problem of Korean-Chinese can be accessed in terms of three issues. First, it has a special property from the historical point of view related to immigration of Korean-Chinese. Their “return” symbolized a historical partial recovery. Second, Korean-Chinese emigrated because of economic hardship since the reform and opening of China; an M-shaped migration - employment structure further to poor working conditions in Korea. Third, conditions that Korean-Chinese face are reconstituted in the family. Korean-Chinese constitute a transnational family based on "remittance". The economic difficulties of the Korean-Chinese can easily lead to family violence, in particular it is a threat to woman in the family.

Effective Multiplexing Method for Conditional Access System in Terrestrial DMB

This letter proposes a conditional access system (CAS) suitable for use in terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (T-DMB), based on an effective multiplexing method to provide encrypted T-DMB services. Specifically, the proposed multiplexing method for a CAS is designed to reduce the additional bit rate while assuring easy access to the designated encrypted services. Finally, the performance of the implemented CAS is confirmed through implementation and a broadcasting experiment under various service environments.

Iterative calibration of a multiview 3D display with linear extrinsic crosstalk using camera feedback

<P>In this paper, we propose a multiview 3D display calibration algorithm that compensates for misalignment between constituent layers. To minimize distortion of the 3D image due to misalignment, we employ an iterative algorithm using camera feedback. We first establish a mathematical model for the multiview display and predict distortion of a test image pattern due to misalignment. Then, we define two characteristic features of the feedback camera image that indicate the status of the alignment. Based on the mathematical model, we design a compensation algorithm that consists of cascaded one-dimensional root-finding blocks for two-dimensional optimization. Finally, we experimentally verify the image distortion model, convergence of the iterative algorithm, and image quality improvement. The accuracy of the proposed algorithm exceeds the required accuracy for linear extrinsic crosstalk compensation. (C) 2018 Optical Society of America</P>

교사의 실천적 지식에 대한 성찰적 탐구

본 연구에서는 `나의 실천적 지식은 무엇이고 그것을 어떻게 사용하고 있는가`라는 질문을 통해, 교사로서 나의 실천적 지식을 탐구하였다. Elbaz가 제시한 교사의 실천적 지식 탐색 틀에 따라 연구자는 본인의 교직 생활을 성찰하였고, 이 과정에서 무엇이 나의 교육 실천에 영향을 미쳤는지를 중심으로 나의 실천적 지식을 찾아 그 의미를 드러냈다. 그리고 교사의 실천적 지식을 어떻게 바라보아야 하는지에 대해 논의하였다. 연구 결과, 나의 실천적 지식은 `배움은 자신에게 의미있을 때 일어난다`는 명제 형태였다. 이 실천적 지식은 내가 `의미있는 교사가 되고 싶어한다`는 것을 자각하면서, 그리고 내 주변과 관계를 의미있게 만들어 가면서 형성되었고, 그 이후, 나, 교육환경, 수업의 여러 영역에서 작동하는 또 다른 원리와 규칙들을 만들어서 사용하도록 하고 있었다. 이러한 본 연구 결과에 비추어 볼 때, 교사는 자신의 실천적 지식을 적극적으로 탐구해서 자신의 실천적 지식이 어떤 모습인지를 인식해야 하며, 교사의 실천적 지식은 교사로서의 존재감에서 출발할 수 있다는 점을 논의하였다. By Questioning `what is the presence of practical knowledge and how does a teacher actually adapt to it`, this study aims to explore and represent practical knowledge of a teacher, myself. Following Elbaz`s Idea of teacher`s practical knowledge, I brought my own experiences of teaching to find meanings of practical knowledge that influenced my actions. Alongside, the study discusses about how to view a teacher`s practical knowledge. As the result, my practical knowledge should be phrased `learning occurs when it is meaningful to oneself`. This was formed when I realized that `I want to be a meaningful teacher` and as I made my relationships and environments meaningful. Then my practical knowledge reflected on my teaching co-responding with knowledge about myself, milieu, and instructions categorized by Elbaz. Based on the results, the study concludes that teachers should understand the structure of the practical knowledge. It is complicated system so teachers should follow three important steps of practical knowledge: Rules of practice, practical principles, and images, as the practical knowledge is more of a circular structure, rather than linear. Thus, the study shows the importance of practical knowledge for teachers to have their own, and why teachers should actively explore it by themselves.
