Dynamic Multi-objective Construction Site Layout Planning Based on BIM

        Guowu Tao,Haibo Feng,Jingchun Feng,Tianhao Wang 대한토목학회 2022 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.26 No.4

The planning effectiveness of construction site layout greatly influences construction efficiency. Many previous studies assumed that all the facilities exist on the construction sites for the whole duration of the projects. Some researchers found the shortcomings and developed models to improve it. But these models also have different limitations, such as ignoring the future impact of the layout decision in early construction phases on the later layout quality, only considering transportation costs when optimize the layouts, etc. To address these issues, this study proposes a building information modeling (BIM)-based model that dynamically optimizes the multi-objective construction site layout. In this model, BIM and construction schedules provide the updated construction project information. This model introduces the construction phase impact on layout. The layout of each construction phase is optimized in order of corresponding phase impact. Considering the sustainable development for construction industry, the noise pollution level is chosen to be the optimization objective together with the total transportation cost. In order to balance the noise pollution level and total transportation cost, the multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) is applied to obtain trade-off solutions. A case study is presented to demonstrate the capability of the proposed model. The results indicate that the proposed dynamic construction site layout plan (CSLP) reduces transportation cost by 43.45% and 11.46% compared with the original and static construction site layout. This study breaks the traditional site layout plan order and locates the facilities in order of their phase impact, which can greatly reduce the transportation cost on the site. It also incorporates the noise pollution reduction into CSLP to enhance on-site sustainability.

Comparative study on the high frequency performances of the easy-plane FeNi@SiO2 powder soft magnetic composite

        Wang Guowu,Zhang Junming,Zheng Zuying,Qiao Liang,Wang Tao,Li Fashen 한국물리학회 2022 Current Applied Physics Vol.41 No.-

In this work, an easy-plane FeNi@SiO2 powder soft magnetic composite (SMC) was imitated and fabricated and its high frequency magnetic properties were comparatively investigated with a non-easy-plane composite. Due to the planar distribution of easy magnetization axes, the easy-plane composite exhibits a constant permeability of 38 up to 100 MHz. Moreover, the easy-plane SMC exhibits a lower core loss at higher frequencies. Loss separated results show that the hysteresis loss plays a dominant loss component in the composite, rather than dominant excess loss in the non-easy-plane powder composite. These results indicate that, compared with non-easy-plane powder composite, the easy-plane powder composites exhibit comprehensive advantages of higher permeability, wider effective operating frequencies and lower loss, which suggest that the use of easy-plane ferromagnetic powder is a promising and efficient measure to develop a new generation of soft magnetic composites for higher frequency application.

      • Register Allocation for QEMU Dynamic Binary Translation Systems

Yi Liang,Yuanhua Shao,Guowu Yang,Jinzhao Wu 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.8 No.2

Binary translation is an important step to solve the code migration, QEMU is more advanced and efficient binary translation system. It uses lighter TCG technology to achieve dynamic binary translation but analysis of the TCG internal process, we found that the excessive use of temporary variables meaningless in the TCG intermediate code, the backend generates host code does not take into account the efficient use of registers. Through these two aspects of improvement, especially increased a linear scan register allocation algorithm in the back-end, can be in an acceptable translation time, generates efficient host code. The experimental results show that the optimized program run time significantly reduced and the amount of generated host code reduced by an average of 8%.

Molecular Characteristics and Potent Immunomodulatory Activity of Fasciola hepatica Cystatin

        Kai Zhang,Yucheng Liu,Guowu Zhang,Xifeng Wang,Zhiyuan Li,Yunxia Shang,Chengcheng Ning,Chunhui Ji,Xuepeng Cai,Xianzhu Xia,Jun Qiao,Qingling Meng 대한기생충학ㆍ열대의학회 2022 The Korean Journal of Parasitology Vol.60 No.2

Cystatin, a cysteine protease inhibitor found in many parasites, plays important roles in immune evasion. This study analyzed the molecular characteristics of a cystatin from Fasciola hepatica (FhCystatin) and expressed recombinant FhCystatin (rFhcystatin) to investigate the immune modulatory effects on lipopolysaccharide-induced proliferation, migration, cytokine secretion, nitric oxide (NO) production, and apoptosis in mouse macrophages. The FhCystatin gene encoded 116 amino acids and contained a conserved cystatin-like domain. rFhCystatin significantly inhibited the activity of cathepsin B. rFhCystatin bound to the surface of mouse RAW264.7 cells, significantly inhibited cell proliferation and promoted apoptosis. Moreover, rFhCystatin inhibited the expression of cellular nitric oxide, interleukin-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α, and promoted the expression of transforming growth factor-β and interleukin-10. These results showed that FhCystatin played an important role in regulating the activity of mouse macrophages. Our findings provide new insights into mechanisms underlying the immune evasion and contribute to the exploration of potential targets for the development of new drug to control F. hepatica infection.

Synthesis and color-tunable luminescence properties of novel calcium aluminate silicate chloride phosphors

        Zhiguo Xia,Peng Du,Libing Liao,Guowu Li,Shuai Jin 한국물리학회 2010 Current Applied Physics Vol.10 No.4

Eu2+ and Mn2+ co-doped calcium aluminate silicate chloride phosphors with the chemical composition of Ca3Al2Si2O8Cl4:Eu2+, Mn2+ have been prepared by a solid-state method, and their luminescence properties have been investigated by tuning the En2+/Mn2+ ions concentration. The phase formation and microstructure of Ca3Al2Si2O8Cl4:Eu2+, Mn2+ phosphors have been illuminated by XRD and SEM analysis. Photoluminescence (PL) spectrum reveals that Ca3Al2Si2O8Cl4:Eu2+ exhibits a strong blue emission band centered at 431 nm, while Ca3Al2Si2O8Cl4:Eu2+, Mn2+ can emit bluish-white light by adjusting the Mn2+ content appropriately. The energy transfer mechanism involving Eu2+–Mn2+ have also been investigated.

Biological Characteristics of Recombinant Arthrobotrys oligospora Chitinase AO-801

        Gong, Shasha,Meng, Qingling,Qiao, Jun,Huang, Yunfu,Zhong, Wenqiang,Zhang, Guowu,Zhang, Kai,Li, Ningxing,Shang, Yunxia,Li, Zhiyuan,Cai, Xuepeng The Korea Society for Parasitology and Tropical Me 2022 The Korean Journal of Parasitology Vol.60 No.5

Chitinase AO-801 is a hydrolase secreted by Arthrobotrys oligospora during nematode feeding, while its role remained elusive. This study analyzed the molecular characteristics of recombinant chitinase of Arthrobotrys oligospora (reAO-801). AO-801 belongs to the typical glycoside hydrolase 18 family with conserved chitinase sequence and tertiary structure of (α/β)8 triose-phosphate isomerase (TIM) barrel. The molecular weight of reAO-801 was 42 kDa. reAO-801 effectively degraded colloidal and powdered chitin, egg lysate, and stage I larval lysate of Caenorhabditis elegans. The activity of reAO-801 reached its peak at 40℃ and pH values between 4-7. Enzyme activity was inhibited by Zn2+, Ca2+, and Fe3+, whereas Mg2+ and K+ potentiated its activity. In addition, urea, sodium dodecyl sulfate, and 2-mercaptoethanol significantly inhibited enzyme activity. reAO-801 showed complete nematicidal activity against C. elegans stage I larvae. reAO-801 broke down the C. elegans egg shells, causing them to die or die prematurely by hatching the eggs. It also invoked degradation of Haemonchus contortus eggs, resulting in apparent changes in the morphological structure. This study demonstrated the cytotoxic effect of reAO-801, which laid the foundation for further dissecting the mechanism of nematode infestation by A. oligospora.

Insights Into the BR2/PGP1-mediated Patterns for Shoot and Root Growth in Maize Early Seedling Development by Comparative Transcriptome Sequencing

        Xiangge Zhang,Lanjie Zheng,Haojun Zhang,Xinrong Huang,Yinghong Liu,Junjie Zhang,Yu-Feng Hu,Hanmei Liu,Guowu Yu,Yangping Li,Yubi Huang 한국식물학회 2019 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.62 No.3

Plant shoot and root growth is regulated by multiplefactors, including the hormone auxin. A maize brachytic2(br2) mutant displays a shortened shoot and root with highauxin concentration in their apexes, where BR2 encodes anauxin transporter P-glycoprotein1 (PGP1). We employedcomparative transcriptome sequencing to explore the BR2/PGP1-mediated patterns for shoot and root growth amongbr2, wild type (WT), and hybrid F1 (br2 × WT). The resultsshow 352 genes in the br2 shoot and 234 genes in the br2root are differentially expressed compared to WT and F1. Zm00001d045203 and Zm00001d031562 were identified astwo auxin-responsive genes in both the shoot and root. TheZm00001d045203 gene is down-regulated in br2 and encodesan Aux/IAA inhibitor involved in the SCFTIR1/AFB-mediatedauxin signaling pathway. The up-regulated Zm00001d031562gene encodes a small GTPase belonging to the Rab/Yptfamily, which takes part in auxin-mediated responses inArabidopsis. Cytology analysis reveals that reduced cellelongation affects the shoot and root growth of br2. TheZm00001d043477 gene is down-regulated and encodes amember of the cellulose synthase protein family, possiblyreducing cell elongation in the br2 shoot and root. Theseresults reveal the specific regulation of auxin actions and cellresponses by BR2/PGP1.
