The assessment of the performance of grid hybrid frameworks depends primarily on the costs and reliability, associated with reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of the system. In this work, with objectives based on the minimization of two optimization features, namely loss of power supply probability (LPSP) and cost of energy (COE), multi-objective optimization of a grid-connected PV/wind turbine framework was implemented in the Faculty of Engineering in Gharyan, Libya, with the aim of providing adequate electricity, while optimizing the system’s renewable energy fraction (REF) was the third objective. This research also aimed to estimate the resulting amount of power produced by the hybrid system and mathematical models were submitted. The results showed the share of the total energy supplying the electricity demand for each part of the network. This study subsequently explored the interrelationship of the grid and the proposed hybrid system in relation to the capacity of the network to sell or obtain electricity from the hybrid system. In addition, multi-objective bat algorithm (MOBA) fi ndings were divided into three dominant regions: the fi rst region was the economically optimal solution (lowest COE), the second region was the conceptual perspective of utilizing renewable energies (highest REF), and the fi nal region was the optimal solution with optimal environmental eff ects (lowest GHG emissions).

PURPOSE. Bacterial adhesion on provisional crown materials retained for a long time can influence the duration for which permanent prosthetic restorations can be healthily worn in the oral cavity. The aim of this study was to compare seven different commonly used provisional crown materials with regard to Streptococcus mutans and Candida albicans surface adhesion. MATERIALS AND METHODS. For each group, twenty specimens of the provisional fixed prosthodontic materials TemDent ($Sch{\ddot{u}}tz$), Imident (Imicryl), Tab 2000 (Kerr), Structur Premium (Voco), Systemp (Ivoclar Vivadent), Acrytemp (Zhermack), and Takilon-BBF (Takilon) were prepared (diameter, 10.0 mm; height, 2.0 mm). Surface roughness was assessed by atomic force microscopy. Each group was then divided into 2 subgroups (n=10) according to the microbial suspensions used: S. mutans and C. albicans. The specimens were incubated at $37^{\circ}C$ with S. mutans or C. albicans for seven days. Bacterial adherence on surfaces was assessed using the 2,3-bis[2-methyloxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl]-2H-tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide (XTT) assay. RESULTS. S. mutans showed maximum adhesion to Structur, followed by Systemp, Acrytemp, Takilon, Tab 2000, Imident, and TemDent (P<.05). The highest vital C. albicans adhesion was noted on Takilon, followed by Imident and Tab 2000; the lowest adhesion was noted on Systemp (P<.05). CONCLUSION. The materials showed significant differences in the degree of bacterial adhesion. C. albicans showed higher surface adhesion than S. mutans on provisional crown and fixed partial denture denture materials.

In this research, the antagonistic effects of Enterococcus faecalis and E. faecium bacteria isolated from naturally fermented Turkish white cheeses, produced without starter culture, against Listeria monocytogenes, L. innocua, L. ivanovii, Staphylococcus aureus, and E. faecalis were evaluated. The presence of entA and entB genes was also detected in the isolates, which had antimicrobial activity. Total 71 strains of E. faecalis and 7 strains of E. faecium were tested; 20 of E. faecalis and none of E. faecium strains showed antimicrobial activity against the tested bacteria using agar spot method. Among E. faecalis strains, which had antimicrobial activity, three strains contained both entA and entB genes, two strains carried only entA gene, and five strains had only entB gene. These cheese-sourced enterococcal strains or their enterocins should be considered to be used for food preservation especially in the dairy industry.

Our aim was to test the hypothesis that preoperative serum levels of matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7) and -9 (MMP-9) and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase (TIMP-1) levels correlate with pathological features. Serum levels of MMP-7, and MMP-9 and TIMP-1 were determined in 90 bladder cancer patients and 40 healthy controls using an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Preoperative serum MMP-7 and MMP-9 levels were significantly higher in cancer patients than control groups (p<0.001). In contast, serum TIMP-1 levels were lower (p<0.001). Alteration in MMP-7, and MMP-9, and TIMP-1 production may contribute to tumor angiogenesis and be associated with clinic-pathological features.
Is Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness Change Related to Headache Lateralization in Migraine?
Alime Gunes,Seden Demirci,Levent Tok,Ozlem Tok,Serpil Demirci,Sü,leyman Kutluhan 대한안과학회 2016 Korean Journal of Ophthalmology Vol.30 No.2
Purpose: To evaluate retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness in migraine patients with unilateral headache. Methods: A total of 58 patients diagnosed with migraine headache consistently occurring on the same side and 58 age- and sex-matched healthy subjects were evaluated in this cross-sectional study. RNFL thickness was measured using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography, and the side with the headache was compared with the contralateral side as well as with the results of healthy subjects. Results: The mean patient age was 33.05 ± 8.83 years, and that of the healthy subjects was 31.44 ± 8.64 years (p = 0.32). The mean duration of disease was 10.29 ± 9.03 years. The average and nasal RNFL thicknesses were significantly thinner on the side of headache and on the contralateral side compared to control eyes (p< 0.05, for all). Thinning was higher on the side of the headache compared to the contralateral side; however, this difference was not statistically significant. Conclusions: The RNFL thicknesses were thinner on the side of the headache compared to the contralateral side in the migraine patients with unilateral headache, but this difference was not statistically significant.

The Cyber-Physical System (CPS) is a term describing a broad range of complex, multi-disciplinary, physically-aware next generation engineered system that integrates embedded computing technologies (cyber part) into the physical world. In order to define and understand CPS more precisely, this article presents a detailed survey of the related work, discussing the origin of CPS, the relations to other research fields, prevalent concepts, and practical applications. Further, this article enumerates an extensive set of technical challenges and uses specific applications to elaborate and provide insight into each specific concept. CPS is a very broad research area and therefore has diverse applications spanning different scales. Additionally, the next generation technologies are expected to play an important role on CPS research. All of CPS applications need to be designed considering the cutting-edge technologies, necessary system-level requirements, and overall impact on the real world.
Shilling Attacks Against Memory-Based Privacy-Preserving Recommendation Algorithms
( Ihsan Gunes ),( Alper Bilge ),( Huseyin Polat ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2013 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.7 No.5
Privacy-preserving collaborative filtering schemes are becoming increasingly popular because they handle the information overload problem without jeopardizing privacy. However, they may be susceptible to shilling or profile injection attacks, similar to traditional recommender systems without privacy measures. Although researchers have proposed various privacy-preserving recommendation frameworks, it has not been shown that such schemes are resistant to profile injection attacks. In this study, we investigate two memory-based privacy-preserving collaborative filtering algorithms and analyze their robustness against several shilling attack strategies. We first design and apply formerly proposed shilling attack techniques to privately collected databases. We analyze their effectiveness in manipulating predicted recommendations by experimenting on real data-based benchmark data sets. We show that it is still possible to manipulate the predictions significantly on databases consisting of masked preferences even though a few of the attack strategies are not effective in a privacy-preserving environment.

Sezgin Gunes,Pallav Sengupta,Ralf Henkel,Aabed Alguraigar,Mariana Marques Sinigaglia,Malik Kayal,Ahmad Joumah,Ashok Agarwal 대한남성과학회 2020 The World Journal of Men's Health Vol.38 No.1
Microtubules are the prime component of the cytoskeleton along with microfilaments. Being vital for organelle transport and cellular divisions during spermatogenesis and sperm motility process, microtubules ascertain functional capacity of sperm. Also, microtubule based structures such as axoneme and manchette are crucial for sperm head and tail formation. This review (a) presents a concise, yet detailed structural overview of the microtubules, (b) analyses the role of microtubule structures in various male reproductive functions, and (c) presents the association of microtubular dysfunctions with male infertility. Considering the immense importance of microtubule structures in the formation and maintenance of physiological functions of sperm cells, this review serves as a scientific trigger in stimulating further male infertility research in this direction.
