A spray characteristics is carried out in a numerical simulation of swirl coaxial injector. The water and nitrogen are the oxidizer and fuel is used in cold flow condition . The simulation is carried out in 3d model with varying recess length. Reynolds stress turbulence and volume of fluid model were chosen to perform the simulation. The spray characteristics have been investigated as well as the influence of the inlet swirl strength of the internal flow. Effect of recess length is studied for the axial and radial velocity decreased with a reduced length of inner injector due to the decline vortex intensity.
적외선 열화상 카메라를 이용한 초음파 무화 슬릿제트 화염의 자기진동 가시화

초음파 진동자에 의해 미립화된 탄화수소계 액체연료를 연소시키는 버너에서 생성된 화염의 진동특성을 고찰하기 위한 실험이 수행되었다. 초고속카메라와 열화상 카메라를 이용하여 화염형상 및 연소장 이미지를 획득하였으며, 후처리를 통해 화염과 연소장의 구조 및 거동 변이를 면밀히 분석하였다. 그 결과, 수송기체 유량이 증가하면 연소반응이 촉진되어 연소영역이 신장되고, 반응온도가 증가하였다. 또한, 시간에 변화에 따른 가시화염과 IR 연소장의 거동변화를 비교분석하여 화염의 진동특성을 고찰하였다 An experimental study was performed for the flame-flickering visualization of the burner which burns the liquid hydrocarbon fuel atomized by an ultrasonic oscillator. Variations of the flame-behavior and structure of combustion-field were caught by both high-speed camera and thermo-graphic camera, and those images were analyzed in detail through a post-processing. As a result, the combustion-field grew and reaction-temperature rose due to the strengthening of combustion reaction with the increasing flow-rate of carrier-gas. In addition, a phenomenon of flame flickering was discussed through the comparative analysis of the variational behaviors between the visible flame and IR (Infrared) flame-field.
