        한국 성인의 측모두부 수평기준선에 관한 연구

        교정이나 악교정 수술 환자에서 치료계획 수립과 치료결과의 평가를 위해서 지금까지 많은 수평기준선이 사용되고 있으나 정확성과 재현성 등의 문제가 존재하고 있으며, 더욱 객관적인 수평기준선이 설정될 수 있다면 교정학 분야에서 많은 발전이 기대될 수 있을 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국 성인의 부정교합군과 성별에 따른 Sella-Nasion(SN) 평면과 Frankfort-Horizontal(FH)평면이 이루는 각도 및 FH평면과 다른 수평면 간의 상관 관계를 조사하기 위하여 먼저 임상검사를 시행하여 총 600여명을 대상으로 측모두부규격 방사선사진을 촬영하였다. 계측결과를 바탕으로 연구대상을 골격성 Ⅰ급 부정교합군 또는 정상교합군(남 50, 여 50), 골격성 Ⅱ급 부정교합군(남 50, 여 65), 골격성 Ⅲ급 부정교합군(남 50, 여50)으로 분류한 후 10개의 항목을 평가하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. SN 평면과 FH평면이 이루는 각도는 부정교합에 따른 차이는 없었으나 성별 간에는 세 부정교합군 모두에서 차이를 보여 남자는 7.47±2.40˚, 여자는 8.93±2.72˚ 였다. 2. SN 평면 또는 FH 평면과 Mandibular Plane이 이루는 각은 모든 부정교합군에서 여자가 남자보다 컸으며, 골격성 Ⅱ급 부정교합군과 Ⅲ급 부정교합군이 Ⅰ급 부정교합군보다 큰 각도를 나타내었다. 3. FH 평면과 Palatal Plane이 이루는 각은 부정교합군 및 성별에 따른 차이를 보이지 않고 비교적 일정하였다. 4. Gonial angle은 남녀 모두 Ⅲ급 부정교합군이 다른 두 부정교합군보다 큰 각도를 보였다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the angle formed by the Sella-Nasion(SN) plane and Frankort-Horizontal(FH) plane and evaluate the correlation and difference of the FH plane to other horizonatal reference plane. Through this study we hope to present a basis for selecting a horizontal reference plane which can be implemented in cephalometric studies and in surgical orthodontic treatment planning. 600 subjects were chosen following a clinical examination and lateral cephlometric X-rays were taken. According to cephalometric analysis the subjects were classified into 3 groups; Skeletal Class I malocclusion or normal occlusion group(male 50, female 50), Skeletal Class Ⅱ malocclusion group(male 50, female 65) and Skeletal Class Ⅲ malocclusion group(male 50, female 50). The results were as follows. 1. The angle formed by the SN plane and FH plane showed no difference among the malocclusion groups, but there was a significant sex difference. For males the angle measured was 7.47˚±2.40˚ whereas for females it was 8.93˚±2.72˚. 2. The angle formed by the SN plane or FH plane and Mandibular plane was higher in females for all malocclusion groups. This angle in the Skeletal Class I malocclusion group was lower than in the other two groups. 3. There was no difference among the sexes or malocclusion groups considering the angle formed by the FH plane and Palatal plane. 4. The gonial angle in the Skeletal Class Ⅲ malocclusion group was higher than in the Skeletal Class I and Class Ⅱ malocclusion groups in both sexes.

        Pentylentetrazol 筋注誘發 腦波檢査의 誘發潛時의 測定

        In tie latest years, the selection of inductees in Korea has turned more refined for national defense in terms of elitism, and along with a rapid industrialization, the demand for skilled technicians and engineers handling precision equipment, chemicals, explosives, and power-operated tools, machines and vehicles is increasing more than ever. It may be said that in pre-employment examination of the workers engaged in these precision and hazardous jobs, more emphasis should be given to psychiatric and neurological evaluation than to general and patternized physical checkup in certain aspects. In other words, it would be-ideal if we could screen out accident prone factors and risk factors related to neuropsychiatric disorders prior to military conscription or employment. Studies of this type, however, would incur a burden of huge expenses on the part of employers. The author has selected a certain number of youths and adults with normal findings of routine waking E.E.G. out of those who have had experiences of unconscious and/or convulsive spells, and thereby supplemented his previous preliminaty study entitled “I.M. Pentylenetetrazol Provocation E.E.G.”1977. In this study the author has been able to determine almost definitely the required amount of I.M. injection for the test, and carefully measured the “latency”up to the moment when paroxysms or positive responses are disclosed after an injection. The hours from and injection foreevery study until it is completed are really a breathless and extremely tense moment for the three physicians and technologists attending the test because of a possible drug induced “status”. The author has tried to figure out this latency in this study. The latency is meaningful in that it is the very “time lag”or “Induction Latency”spent for the pentylenetetrazol injection, and “ignition”to produce the burst of a big squib, namely a positive reponse on E.E.G. By knowing this lag, we would be able to use this procedure more easily and popularly.

      • Fluoroquinolone계 항생제의 경구투여에 따른 양식넙치 및 조피볼락의 체내 잔류량의 변화

        The residue depletions of fluoroquinolones were investigated in the olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) and black rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) after 840 hours treatment with medicated feed at a dose 20 mg/kg·bw/day The bloods of samples were taken at 5, 10, 24, 48, 72, 120, 168, 216, 312, 480, 720, 840 and 960 hour after treatment. Fluoroquinolones concentrations were detected by high performance liquid chromatography equipped with UV detector. The recovery rates of fluoroquinolones in fish samples ranged 91.95~99.69%, 93.43~97.54% and 92.99~97.87% for the concentration of 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 ㎍/g, respectively In the blood of olive flounder, the concentrations of ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, norfloxacin and sarafloxacin detected at 10, 10, 24 and 24 hour after treatment were 6.433 ㎍/g, 6.065 ㎍/g, 11.8334 ㎍/g and 10.3168 ㎍/g as maximum level, respectively In the black rockfish, ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, norfloxacin and sarafloxacin at 24, 24, 24 and 10 hour after treatment were 8.2634㎍/g, 8.0276㎍/g, 7.2888㎍/g and 9.3787㎍/g as maximum level, respectively On the other hand, ciprofloxacin enrofloxacin, norfloxacin and sarafloxacin were not detected at 840, 480, 720 and 720 hours after treatment in the olive flounder, and at 720, 480, 720 and 480 hours after treatment in the black rockfish, respectiveley.

        인체혈장 중 에탐부톨의 HPLC 분석법의 검증 및 단일용량 투여에 의한 약물동태 연구

        An HPLC method was employed for the determination of ethambutol in human plasma. After addition of internal standard (IS, octylamine, 2 μg/mL) and alkalinization of the plasma with 5 M sodium hydroxide, the drug and IS were extracted into the mixture of chloroform and diethyl ether (40:60, v/v). Following a 15-min vortex-mixing and a 10-min centrifugation, the organic phase was spiked with 100 pL of phenylethylisocyanate (2000 μg/mL) for chemical derivatization, mixed for 5 min and evaporated to dryness under a stream of nitrogen. The residue was reconstituted with 100 μL of mobile phase and 20 pL was injected into Cl8 column with a mobile phase consisting of methanol:water (70:30, v/v). The samples were detected utilizing an ultraviolet detector at 200 nm. The method was specific and validated with a limit of 0.15 μg/mL. Infra- and inter-day precision and accuracy were acceptable for all quality control samples including the lower limit of quantification. The applicability of this method was demonstrated by analysis of human plasma after oral administration of a single 1200-mg dose to 20 healthy subjects. From the plasma ethambutol concentration vs. time curves, the mean AUC was 9.61 ± 1.64 μg hr/mL. and Cmax of 2.68 μg/mL reached 2.73 hr after administration. The mean biological half-life of ethambutol was 3.46 ± 1.21 hr. Based on the results, this simple and validated assay could readily be used in any pharmacokinetic studies using humans.

        Background/Aims: Unlike the high diagnostic accuracy of EUS-FNA/CB (EUS-guided fine needle aspiration or core biopsy) in mediastinal lesions, the diagnostic values in granulomatous diseases have been lacking. This study is aimed to assess diagnostic yields of EUS-FNA/CB in undetermined mediastinal lesions and the usefulness for differentiation of granulomatous diseases in a tuberculosis high-prevalent region. Methods: Seventy-three consecutive cases with undetermined mediastinal lesions were enrolled. Linear echoendo-scope and 22-gange aspiration or 19-gauge Trucut biopsy needle were used. Final diagnoses were determined by EUS-FNA/CB histology, surgical pathology, and clinical follow-ups. Results: Indications to EUS- FNA/CB were for histologic confirmation of CT-detected abnormal findings in 41 and for metastatic staging of proven malignancies in 32 cases. Twelve patients (16.4%) had a history of intra-thoracic tuberculosis median 12.5 years before (range, 1-50). Notably, ten of 39 patients (25.6%) with lung cancer presented a past history of pulmonary tuberculosis. FNA/CB was performed by mean 3.4 passes with six minimal complications. Overall diagnostic yield was 83.6% (61/73). The values were at 90.4% (47/52) in malignancy-associated cases, 87.2% (34/39) in lung cancer-associated, 84.8% (28/33) in histologic staging of proven malignancies, and 81.5% (22/27) in nodal staging of lung cancer. Twelve granulomatous diseases, tuberculosis in eight and sarcoidosis in four, were diagnosed. Confirmative differentiation was achieved in 66.7% and positive bacteriologic results for tuberculosis obtained at 50%. EUS-FNA/CB could direct clinical decisions at 85.0% (17/20) in patients with a past or present history of tuberculosis, which included seven of eight those investigated for nodal staging of lung cancer. Conclusions: EUS-FNA/CB showed indispensable diagnostic values for differentiation of granulomatous diseases, as well as for verification of undetermined mediastinal lesions.
