A compound was isolated from the root of Rumex japonicus. Based on spectroscopic data including nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and mass spectrometry, the chemical structure of the compound was determined to be 1,8-dihydroxy-3-methoxy-6-methylanthracene-9,10-dione. The compound exhibits antitumor activity due to inhibition of clonogenicity and induction of tumor suppressor early growth response gene-1 in HCT116 colon cancer cells.
A 10-BIT 20-MHZ THREE-STAGE A/D CONVERTER
Lim,Shin Il,Choi,Hee Cheol,Lee,Seung Hoon,Hwang,Sun Young,Kang,Geun Soon,Lee,Seong Ho,Choe,Myung Jun 대한전자공학회 1995 ICVC : International Conference on VLSI and CAD Vol.4 No.1
In this work, a fully differential 3-stage pipelined analog-to-digital converter (ADC) was implemented to obtain 10-bit resolution at a conversion rate of 20 Msamples/s for video applications. The proposed ADC is optimized by adopting a unit-capacitor array architecture in multiplying digital-to-analog converters (MDACs) to improve differential nonlinearity (DNL) and yield. Reduced power dissipation has been achieved by using low power latched comparators. The prototype was fabricated in a 0.8㎛ p-well CMOS technology. The ADC dissipates 160 mW at a 20 MHz clock rate with a 5 V single supply voltage and occupies a die area of 7 ㎟ (2.7 mm × 2.6 mm) including bonding pads. Measured differential and integral nonlinearities of the prototype are less than ±0.6 LSB and ±1 LSB, respectively.

In this study, poly(amic acid) was prepared via a polycondensation reaction of 3,3'-dihydroxybenzidine and pyromellitic dianhydride in an N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone solution; reduced graphene oxide/polybenzoxazole (r-GO/PBO) composite films, which significantly increased the electrical conductivity, were successfully fabricated. GO was prepared from graphite using Brodie's method. The GO was used as nanofillers for the preparation of r-GO/PBO composites through an in situ polymerization. The addition of 50 wt% GO led to a significant increase in the electrical conductivity of the composite films by more than sixteen orders of magnitude compared with that of pure PBO films as a result of the electrical percolation networks in the r-GO during the thermal treatment at various temperatures within the films.

Background Pelvic exenteration (PE) is indicated in selective cases of persistent, recurrent cervical cancer for curative intent. For patients who developed large enterovaginal or vesicovaginal fistulas after chemoradiation, pelvic exenteration is considered one of the therapeutic options. However, PE is one of the radical gynecologic surgeries in which patients should be carefully selected due to the high rate of postoperative complications and low quality of life. In this case report, we demonstrated a patient who omitted anterior pelvic exenteration and repaired vesicovaginal fistula by using an omental flap. Case-Report A 47-year-old female patient presented with vaginal bleeding and urinary incontinence. The patient was diagnosed with cervical cancer with a 5.5 cm tumor on a vaginal examination. She received concurrent chemoradiation therapy followed by a complete response. After 1 year follow-up, pulmonary metastasis was detected, and she received combination chemotherapy with cisplatin, paclitaxel, and bevacizumab. After a total of six cycles was completed, no further evidence of recurrence was seen. During surveillance, a 3cm-sized vesicovaginal fistula was identified on CT urography.. At first, bladder was dissected to completely identify the fistula site. After a wide dissection of perivesical tissue, both ureteroneocystostomy were performed. Subsequently, after a repair of the bladder and vagina, an omental flap was quilted on the bed of the bladder wall and up to the lateral endopelvic fascia. And the repaired bladder wall covered with omentum was deconflicted with transposed peritoneum for secure of separate wound healing of each bladder and vaginal area. The patient was discharged after identifying no urinary leakage into the vagina through CT urography, with no acute postoperative complications. No recurrence of disease or urine leakage was observed until one year and six months follow-up.
A New Space Vector Random PWM Scheme for Induction Motor Drives
Hoe-Geun Kim,Seok-Hwan Na,Young-Cheol Lim,Young-Gook Jung 전력전자학회 2001 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2001 No.10
The RPWM (Random Pulse Width Modulation) is a switching technique to spread the voltage and current harmonics over a wide frequency area By using randomly changing switching frequency of the inverter, the power spectrum of the electromagnetic acoustic noise can be spread to the wide-band area. The wideband noise is much more comfortable and less annoying than the narrow-band one. So, the RPWM has been attracting interest as an excellent method for the reduction of acoustic noise on the inverter drive system. In this paper a new RPPWM (Random Position Space Vector PWM) is proposed and implemented. Each of three phase pulses is located randomly in each switching interval Along with the randomization of PWM pulses, the space vector modulation is also executed in the C167 micro-controller. The experimental results show that the voltage and current harmonics are spread to a wide band area and that the audible switching noise is reduced by the proposed RPPWM method.
Reactor Power Cutback Feasibility to a 12-Finger CEA Drop to Avoid Reactor Trips
Auh, Geun-Sun,Yoo, Hyung-Keun,Lim, Chae-Joon,Kim, Hee-Cheol,Lee, Sang-Keun Korean Nuclear Society 1995 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.27 No.1
EPRI URD requires that the reactor be capable of accommodating an unintended CEA drop without initiating a trip and operating at a reduced power with ay single CEA fully inserted. YGN 3 and 4 reactors have 12-finger CEAs, and the CPCS will trip the reactor due to their large reactivities when one of them is dropped at a high power. The ABB-CE reactor power cutback system has been proposed to be used against the 12-Finger CEA drop to avoid the reactor trips. The results of study show that the reactor power cutback can prevent the reactor trips of the 12-Finger CEA drop when the CPCS has enough operating thermal margin (more than 9% for YGN 3&4 Cycle 1). It is noted, however, that the probability of a 12-Finger CEA drop is very low, less than one per 100 reactor years for YGN 3& and System 80$^{+}$ plants.
