      • 파장가변 erbium첨가 광섬유 링 레이저의 제작과 발진특성 측정

        An optical fiber laser that operates at 1.55?? wavelength region is constructed and characterized. An erbium-doped fiber of 10m length is used as an active medium, and an InGaAsP laser diode that emits 1.475㎛ wavelength with 50㎽ output power is used as a pump source. Inside the laser cavity of ring structure, an optical isolator, a polarization controller, and a wavelength-division multiplexer are included. Also a wavelength-tunable bandpass filter is used to tune the output wavelength quasi-continuously over 1535-l565㎚ range. For the characterization of the laser, forward and backward amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) spectra, output power versus pump power, and wavelength tunability are measured. Finally, beating between polarization modes from the fiber laser is measured and its potential application to polarimetric sensor is discussed.

      • 지방산의 산화에 미치는 양조간장과 Glucose-Lysine Model melanoidin의 영향

        To observe the antioxidative effect of Maillard rection products(MRPs) to fatty acid compositions, corn oil and sardine oil emulsion were prepared and detected the changes of fatty acid compositions by gas chromatography with or without soybean sauce or glucose-lysine model melanoidin as MRPs during 10days at 40℃ incubation. The main fatty acid composition in corn oil made by J company in Korea was linoleic acid (54.94%), oleic acid (28.63%) and palmitic acid (11.95%), respectively, which is very similar with other references about corn oil. The composition of sardine oil contained major 6-7 fatty acids. The major saturated acids were palmitic (22.44%) and myristic (9.12%). Monoethylenic fatty acids were composed mainly of palmitoleic acid (14.37%) and oleic acid (18.51%). The major polyenoic acids are eicosapentaenoic acid (9.77%) and docosahexaenoic acid (5.47%), which is the most characteristic feature of marline oils. The fatty acid composition in corn oil was very stable during 10days at 40℃ incubation because of its tocopherol contained in corn oil. So MRPs no effected the fatty acid composition in corn oil during incubatuon epriod. But fatty acid composition of sardine oil severe changed during 10days at 40℃ incubation, especially in polyenoic acids. When added glucose-lysine model melanoidin and soybean sauce to sardine oil, the polyenoic acid decomposition protected effectively. Especially soybean sauce stabilize fatty acid composition than model melanoidin in sardine oil.

        The purpose of this study is attempt to research the conciousness's setup about cultural Physical Education from the Freshman, sophomore in S- woman collage. The survey was obtained 10 June, to 30 June in 1984 with 160 Subjects. The results are as following; 1. Unnecessity of P.E. in college life was 55.00%, Necessity was 31.25%. 2. The students wanted to learn the events in P.E. time as following, the swimming was the most record as 31.25%, aerobic dance was 25.63%. The students wanted more individual events than the ball game. 3. If the P.E. is selection's subject, will-be-not take the P.E. was 55.00%, the value was more than half of Subjects. 4. In Effect of P.E. on college life, so and so was 45.00%, be an assistance was 30.00%, be a inconvinience was 25.00%. 5. In an Assistance on college life from P.E., to assist for healthy life was 45.83%, for physical strength was 31.25%, solution of stress was 16.66%, and concentration of mind was 6.25%.

      • 김치식이가 흰쥐의 항산화시스템에 미치는 영향

        김치는 배추를 주재료로 하여 마늘, 고추, 생강 등의 양념류를 포함하는 여러 재료들로 만들어지며 이들 재료 중에는 항산화효과를 가진 것으로 알려진 성분들이 많이 함유되어 있어 김치도 항산화효과를 나타낼 것으로 여겨진다. In vitro 실험계 및 세포 모델계에서 김치 재료 및 김치의 항산화효과는 확인된바 있으나 In vivo 시스템에서의 김치의 항산화효과에 관한 자료는 부족하다. 따라서 본 실험에서는 김치 섭취의 생체 내 항산화효과를 규명하기 위하여 흰쥐에게 동결건조한 김치 3, 5, 10% 첨가 식이를 6주간 섭취시키면서 간조직의 산화와 항산화효소계의 활성을 측정하였다. 간의 MDA 함량은 대조군에 비해 김치 투여군에서 낮았고 특히 5% 김치섭취군에서 현저히 낮은 값을 나타내었다. 단백질 산화를 나타내는 카르보닐 함량도 대조군에 비해 김치섭취군에서 낮아 생체 내에서 김치식이가 과산화물 생성 억제효과를 나타내었다. 항산화 효소계의 활성을 측정한 결과 SOD 활성은 대조군에 비해 김치섭취군에서 현저하게 높았고 김치첨가 함량이 증가할수록 SOD 활성이 유의적으로 높아져 10% 김치섭취군에서는 대조군에 비해 70% 이상 높은 활성을 나타내었다. Catalase 활성은 각 군에서 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않았으나 GSH-px의 활성은 김치 섭취가 높을수록 상대적으로 높은 증가율을 나타내어 SOD 활성과 동일한 경향을 나타내었다. 따라서 김치식이는 생체 내에서 치질 및 단백질 과산화를 현저하게 억제하였고 항산화효소계인 SOD와 GSH-px의 활성을 농도의존적으로 증진시켜 김치식이가 체내의 산화적 스트레스를 효과적으로 억제하는데 기여함을 알 수 있었다. Kimchi is a Kruean traditional fermented food containing various ingredients such as Chinese cabbage, garlic, ginger, red pepper and fish sauce. Some of their components were known as its antioxidative activities and antioxidative effects of kimchi have been studied using in vitro and cell model system. To investigate the antioxidative effect of dietary kimchi, 4 groups of male S.D. rats (n=36) were fed 0, 3%, 5%, and 10% freeze-dried kimchi for 6 weeks and hepatic lipid peroxidation, protein oxidation and the activities of antioxidative enzymes were measured. Hepatic MDA content fed kimchi diet was lower than control diet. Protein carbonyl values were decreased in kimchi diet group, but not significant. SOD activities were significantly increased in kimchi added groups at dose-dependent manner. At 10% kimchi added group, SOD activity increased by 70% compared with control diet group. Catalase activities were not different between experimental groups and control group, whereas GSH-px activities were significantly increased in kimchi added group. As a result kimchi diet inhibited lipid and protein oxidation and induced antioxidative enzymes, SOD and GSH-px in rat hepatic tissue. It suggests that dietary kimchi is expected to prevent the oxidative stress in animal and human.

        Flush toilets, improved from the conventional ones, are inconvenient, insanitary and expensive in constructing. The excrements from them are not disinfected and flow through the drains into the rivers. They are not only insanitary but bring about various infectious diseases. Seen from these points, it is urgent that we should pay attention to reconstructing the toilets. I wrote in this paper on reforming of toilets. The reformed ones are sanitary, inexpensive in executing and are able to be made in small areas.

        콩 삶은 물을 첨가한 청국장 제조시 항산화활성 및 관련 성분들의 변화

        Soybean is an important plant as the source of protein and oil, as well as phytochemicals such as genistein, daidzein, phenolic acids, phytic acid, tocopherol, and saponin. Chungkukjang, a fermented soybean paste, is cammon in Korean meals and bacillus is usually used in the fermentation of steamed soybean. For its processing, whole soybeans are boiled in water until the beams are soft, and then the drained beans are wrapped with rice straw or starter and set in a warm place at 65℃ for 3~4 days. Normally, the remaining cooked water which was drained from the steamed beans is discarded. We supposed that this water possesses high amounts of useful components, and we therefore developed a modified method using the cooked water. After fermentation, we added the remaining cooked water which had been drained from the beans to the fermented soy beans and boiled them together. To investigate the bio-functionality of the modified chusngkukjang, the total antioxidative activity, isoflavones contents, phenolic acids, and 3-deoxyglucosone (3-DG) were measured at each stage of the preparation of changkukjang, The original and modified chturgkukjang possessed l a high antioxidative activity compared with the other samples, as did the drained water after steaming of the soybean. The contents of genistein, daidzein, and phenolic acids, which contained antioxidative activity, were also increased in the original chungkukjang and their contents were similar in the modified chungkukjang. The content of 3-DG was increased in the modified chungkukjang compare with the original. It is suggested that the active soybean components delivered to the drained water during the steaming process were useful for increasing the bio-functionality of the modified chunghnkjang.

      • 모 통신관련, 사업장 연작업자들의 건강수준 평가

        To evaluate the health status of lead workers in telecommunication industry, author studied 369 male workers working in a telecommunication industry. Study variables chosen were blood zinc protoporphyrin(ZPP), hemoglobin, serum glutamic oxalacetic transaminase(SGOT), serum glutamic oxalacetic transaminase(SGPT), γ-glutamyltrans-peptidase(GGT) and hepatitis B virus antigen and antibody. Personal data such as smoking and drinking habit, work duration were also collected. 15 lead related symptom questionnaires were provided to all lead workers and filled up by themselves and reconfirmed by physician. The results were obtained as follow; 327 workers(89%) among 369 workers were healthy and 42(11%) workers abnormal health state. 9 workers were disease state among 42 workers those who were abnormal health state. The most frequent disease was liver disease(52.4%), and next was hypertension(26.2%) and then anemia(9.5%), hyperlipidemia(4.8%) and pulmonary tuberculosis(4.8%) in order of frequency. There was no case of lead intoxication. The mean of blood ZPP concentration of study subjects was 14.4±6.9㎍/㎗ and maximum blood ZPP concentration was 48.0㎍/㎗. The means of GOT, GPT and GGT were 29.4±10.0unit/L, 19.7±14.4unit/L and 38.7±31.5unit/L, respectively. The prevalence rate of hepatitis B virus antigen was 6.8% and the one of hepatitis B virus antibody was 43.6%. The symptoms with high prevalence rate above 40% were six; 'loss of appetite', 'frequent numbness of fingers or feet', 'feeling tired or fatigue generally', 'becoming nervous or sensitive to not important things', 'feel dizziness when standing up', and 'feel sleepy frequently'. The prevalence rate of symptoms were increased by the increase of age. The prevalence rate of symptoms were higher in smoking group and drinking group than non-smoking group and non-drinking group, respectively.

      • 측정방법에 따른 콩 성분의 항산화효과 비교

        콩 성분의 항산화효과를 측정을 위해 DPPH법, FRAP법, TEAC법을 이용하여 이들 방법간의차이를 비교하고, 콩의 항산화효과를 측정하는데 가장 적합한 실험방법을 확립하고자 하였다. 콩의 유효 성분 중 항산화효과와 관련있는 isoflavone 및 phenolic acid의 표준품을 이용하여 항산화효과를 측정하였고, 항산화효과의 비교를 위해 Trolox, ascorbic acid, glutathione의 활성을 측정하였다. DPPH법, FRAP법, TEAC법의 3가지 항산화효과 측정방법에 따른 genistein의 효과가 가장 높았고 DPPH나 FRAP의 경우는 gentisic acid, syringic acid, ferulic acid 등의 phenolic acids의 활성이 높게 나타났고 isoflavones의 효과는 매우 낮게 나타났다. 항산화효과를 측정하기 위해 다양하게 이용되고 있는 방법들간에는 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었으며 TEAC법의 경우 glutathione 및 콩의 주요 성분인 isoflavones과 대부분의 phenolic acids의 활성을 평가할 수 있어 유용한 방법으로 여겨진다. To establish the proper assay for measurement of antioxidative activities in soybean, the main components relating to their antioxidative effects were measured by DPPH (α, α-diphenyl-β-pycryl-hydrazyl radical), FRAP (ferric reducing/antioxidant power), and TEAC (Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity) assay. The antioxidative activities of commercial isoflavones (genistein, daidzein, and glycitein) and phenolic acids, which were well known as main antioxidative ingredients in soybean, were measured by three methods and compared the activities with Trolox, ascorbic acid, and glutathione as reference antioxidnats. By the FRAP and DPPH assay, gentisic acid, syringic acid and ferulic acid showed the strong antioxidative activities, while isoflavones and glutathione showed very low or undetectable activities . In contrast genistein, p-coumaric acid, and ferulic acid showed remarkable antioxidative activities by the TEAC assay. Therefore. it is proposed that TEAC assay is suitable for detecting antioxidative activity of soybean.

      • 身長 體重의 成長發達이 體力에 미치는 影響 : 경북북부지역 農村 男女 初中生 (만10才~15才)을 中心으로

        This study tries to explain how the development and growth of the height and weight of the students in elementary and middle schools (aged from 10 to 15) influence their physical strength. It is concluded as follows after the correlation between the development and growth of their height and strength, and the items of the examination of physical strength was investigated by their sex and age. 1. The result of measuring students` height and weight by their age and sex shows that boys grow most between 13 and 15 years old, and girls grow most between 11 and 13 years old. 2. When the value of the rural students` height and weight is compared with that of the national averages, the value of the rural boys` height and weight is quite lower than that of the national averages, and especially lower during the middle school period (between 13 and 15 years of age). However the value of the rural girls' height and weight is almost equal to that of the national averages. 3. The result of the examination of physical strength shows that boys are excellent in their physical strength when they are 15 years old, and girls are excellent in their physical strength when they are 14 years old. In addition it is found that boys` physical strength improves straight as they grow older, but that girls` physical strength improves straight until 14 years old and then gradually reduces as they grow older. 4. It is found that there is, generally, no close relation among the items of the examination of physical strength such as running long, long jump, throwing and flexing upper body. However there is close relation between throwing and long jump. 5. It is found that boys are good at long jump and throwing, but poor at running 100 meters and long running, as they grow taller. It is also found that boys are good at long jump and throwing, and poor at running 100 meters, as they grow heavier. It is found that girls show no difference in performing their physical strength whether they grow taller or heavier.

      • √s 침하예측기법을 이용한 현장침하량 예측

        Prediction of consolidation settlement and time must be always erroneous because of soil media, errors associated with the measurement of soil parameters, drawback of consolidation theories and so on. When Oiling on compressible soils, the observational method is a useful means in pratice to evaluate the final consolidation settlement and time. However, the ousted observational procedures include some disadvantages which are difficulty of finding the linearity in the settlement curves, which a personal error seems to be unavoidable and so on. A new observational procedure(√s method) is suggested here to perform the consolidation analysis in field. As the results of applying the √s method with another methods to two field data, the final settlement predicted by the √s method as well as by the Asaoka's method agreed well with the measured value. However, one by the hyperbolic method(Tan, 1991) was overestimated, and there happened many cases not to predicted by the Hoshino's method. In the settlement curve from the √s method, the linearity between 60 and 90% of the average degree of consolidation is showed, and then the possibility of happening a personal error seems to be unusual. The final consolidation time(at 0.95s_(f)) predicted by the √s method agreed well with the measured one, but one by Asaoka and Tan(1996) methods was very much underestimated or overestimated. The big errors by the two methods seem to be the cause unconsidered the effect of step loading.
