      • 韓國産 납자루 亞科 漁類의 核型(Ⅱ)

        Karyotypes of 8 species of the Acheilognathine fishes were studied using chromosomes of gill slit and kidney prepared by the flame drying technique. Diploid chromosome numbers(2n) of the Acheilognathine fishes were classified into three patterns same as previousely report(2n=48, 44, 46). In the 2n=48, No. of two-arm chromosome(TAC) and one-arm chromosome (OAC) were 12∼14 pairs and 10∼12 pairs, respectively. In the 2n=44, TAC and OAC were 12∼14 pairs and 8∼10 pairs, severally. In the 2^n=46, 2 pairs of TAC were all submetacentric chromosomes and OAC was 21 pairs. Sexual heteromorphism or intra specific polymorphism of the chromosomes was not observed in any species studied.

        Karyotypes of 12 species of the Acheilognathine fishes were studied using chromosomes of gill slit and kidney cells prepared by the flame drying technique. The results were as follows : 1. Numbers of chromosomes were classified into three patterns as 2n=48, 44, and 46. 2. In the 2n=48, No. of two-arm chromosome (TAC) and one-arm chromosome (OAC)were 12 or 14 pairs and 10 or 12 pairs, respectively. In the 2n=44, TAC and OAC were 14 or 12 and 8 or 10, severally, In the 2n=46, TAC was 2 pairs and OAC was 21 pairs. 3. Above results indicate that patterns of arm number(AN) were classified into four groups as AN=76, 72, 68, and 50. In the view of these results, we suggest that primitive chromosomal type of Acheilognathine fishes(cyprinidae) was 2n=46 and AN=50(R. notatus, R. suigensis).

      • 嶺東地方에 있어서 PTC 味盲의 頻度 및 血液型과의 關係

        韓國人類集團의 PTC (phenylthiocarbamide) 味覺에 대한 頻度의 平均値와 味盲과 血液型과의 關係를 糾明하기 위하여 그 一環으로 嶺東地方에 있어서 男女 中高等學校 學生을 對象으로 調査하여 다음과 같은 結果를 얻었다. 1. PTC 味覺은 크게 taster와 non-taster(味盲)로 區分된다. 그 中 taster는 쓴맛, 신맛, 단맛, 기타의 맛 頻度順으로 나타났다. PTC 濃度 C_1(1,300.00 ㎎/ℓ)에서 味盲의 頻度는 9.9%이었고 期待와는 달리 C_10에서는 훨씬 낮은 頻度를 나타내었다(61.2%). 쓴맛과 味盲의 頻度曲綠은 C_6과 C_7 사이에서 交叉되었다. C_13 以上의 低濃度에서의 味盲의 頻度는 거의 一定한 頻度의 傾向을 나타내었다. 2. 신맛, 단맛, 기타의 맛의 頻度는 PTC 濃度에 關係없이 男子가 女子보다 더 높았다. 특히, C_1에서의 味盲의 頻度는 男子가 9.6%, 女子가 10.6%를 나타내었고 高濃度(C_1~C_5)에서는 女子가 男子보다 PTC 味覺에 더 銳敏함을 나타내는 반면에 低濃度(C_6~C_17)에서는 그 反對現象이였다. 3. C_1에서의 血液型 A型의 味盲頻度는 11.8%, O型이 9.8%, AB型이 9.6%, B型이 8.5%였다. 이와 같이 이러한 頻度는 PTC 濃度가 낮아짐에 따라 거의 一定한 頻度의 傾向을 나타내었다. To investigate the frequency of PTC (phenylthiocarbamide) non-taster and relationship between non-taster and blood type, middle and high school students in Yeongdong population of Gangwondo province, Korea were studied. The results are as follows : 1. Most of the tasters tasted PTC as bitter. However some tasted as sour, sweet and other in the order of frequency. Frequency of non-taster of C_1 was 9.9%. That of C_10 was unexpectedly low (61.2%). The curves of bitter and non-taster was crossed between C_6 and C_7. the In lower concentrations than C_13, the frequencies of non-taster were inconsistent. 2. The frequencies of sour, sweet and other taster in male were higher than in female. Especially, the frequency of non-taster of C_1 was 9.6% in male and 10.6% in female. Whereas male was more sensitive to the high concentrations(C_1~C_5) of PTC, female was more sensitive to the lower concentrations(C_6~C17). 3. Among the non-taster of C_1, the frequency of blood type A was 11.8%, O 9.8%, AB 9.6%, and B 8.5%. This frequencies invariably changed as the PTC concentration become lower.

      • 韓國人의 足紋에 關한 定量的 硏究

        한국인의 정상 남자 112명, 여자 118명 총 230명의 460足蹠에 나타난 皮紋을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) 족척의 중간부의 降線 方向은 橫行(76.5%), 輕度의 비골측 近位傾斜(11.5%), 輕度의 비골측 遠位傾斜(11.1%), 뚜렷한 비골측 遠位傾斜(0.9%)의 순으로 나타났으며 중간부의 융선 배열에 대한 대칭 빈도는 63.9%로 나타났다. 2) 무지구부 紋形은 원위측 제상문(64.8%), 와상문(20.2%), 개방문(5.9%)의 순으로 나타났으며 무지구에 나타난 대칭 빈도는 83.2%이었다. 3) 趾間部 紋形은 Ⅱ지간부에서는 개방문(73.7%), 원위측 제상문(22.2%), 근위측 제상문(3.3%), 와상문(0.9%)의 순으로, Ⅲ지간부에서는 개방문(54.8%), 원위측 제상문(41.7%), 와상문(2.4%), 근위측 제상문(1.1%)의 순으로, Ⅳ지간부에서는 개방문(81.7%), 원위측 제상문(17.4%), 와상문(0.9%)의 순으로 나타났다. 4) 趾間部 降線數는 a-b 57.76, b-c 70.74, c-d 75.09이며 남녀 사이, 또는 양족 사이에는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다(P>0.01). The dermatoglyphic patterns of the hands and feet form during early fetal life and thereafter remain essentially unchanged. These traits are useful to study genetics and environmental factors that influence prenatal life and used in practice for personal identification and diagnosis of some diseases. The students of 112 male and 118 female were tested for the patterns of plantar regions. The most common patterns were open fields in the four interdigital areas and the frequency of the mirror pattern on them was 57.2%. For a-b, b-c and c-d ridge counts of the plantar interdigital areas sampled from 105 male and 109 female students, the nonsignificances were found between both sexes and between both feet.

      • 聾啞學生의 營養狀態와 體位 發達度에 關한 硏究

        In respect of the amount of Hb, the nutriture of the deaf-mutes is better than that of the amentias or nursery school children, but worse than that of the boys and girls of the junior physical education school (Hb:12.7) or the normal family children (Hb:10,8) In the group of six to eleven years old (the elementary school boys and girls), the condition, such as stature, chest circumference, and weight, of the deaf-mute shows salmost same degree, which is above the standard of Korea, On the contrary the degree of the amentias and the nursery school children is inferior to the standard. The orde of the growth of the physical condition is as follows : Nursery school children<Amentias<Deaf-mutes<Standard<Family children<Junior physical training school boys and girls. In the group of twelve of fifteen years old(Junior high school) the nursery school children have the lowest condition and the boys and girls of the physical training school the highest. Concerning the status, the nutriture of the deaf-mutes as the second group might have been more ill-fed in the past than those of the first group at present. According to the serum diagnosis, the distribution of the deaf-mutes blood types(0:15%, A:30.7, B:30.7, AB:23.6) has a great deal of difference from the standard in our country (0:25% A:35 B:34, AB:6) as well as that of the amentias (0:34.2%, A:27.4, B:32.5, AB:6) does Consequently it proves that a deaf-mute could have come out of all types of blood at the similar rate. And probably the deaf-mutes are not often come from hereditary nature, but from postnatal one judging from the fact that their growth of the physical condition nearly equal to the normal family children. The manager of the deaf and dumb school has to pay more concern about their better nourishment in order to elevate the power of hearing or to promote their physical development. Anyway, the m re samples tested carefully might be required for an evident identifying the conclusion.

      • 韓國人類集團의 PTC(phenylthiocarbamide) 味覺에 關한 遺傳學的 硏究(Ⅰ) : 島嶼民集團을 中心으로 the centering around of Islander population

        I investigated the frequency of taste sensitivity to PTC by paper test according to the sorting technique of Harris and Kalmus(1949). Areas of research were free-choiced population of islands(Jejoo-do, Geuje-do, Jin-do, Whan-do). Through my investigation, I arrived at the following results. 1. Taste sensitivity to PTC was classified in taste and non-taste, and taste was subclassified into bitter, sour, sweet, salty, astringent, and like flat water. 2. Scope of frequency of bitter was 21.9-88.8%, that of sour 0.9-9.5%, that of sweet 1.0-5.7%, and that of non-taster was 9.1-69.2%. Bitter and non-taster showed a tendency to the low and high frequency in the low concentration of more than C_11. They had almost the same frequency in C_7. Also, they were contrary to expectations in C_3 and C_10(A_1, A_2, B_1, B_2). 3. According to concentrations of PTC, frequency of taster and non-taster did'nt show a notable difference among populations. 4. In Jejoo-do and Geuje-do, frequency of bitter was according with that of non-taster in the deeper concentration than C_7. In Jin-do and Whan-do, frequency of bitter was accorded with that of non-taste in more concentration than C_7. 5. Non-taster on PTC did'nt show a notable difference between men and women in the whole concentration, but women were keener than men only in the low concentration of C_10(p<0.05). 6. I think it is an important test to study how is distribution of frequency of taste-sensitivity in the low concentrations in the more than C_13.

      • 保育園兒의 體位發達에 關한 硏究

        1. As the children become of an age, it is expected that it is the chief reason of the diet problems that the development of the physical standard is good, in order of the nursery school children, home children and joint lodging children. Therefore in order that we increase the national power by means of the development of physical standard of all the people, and we keep higher health, it is desired that the authorities concerned or the managers of nursery schools must pay attention to dietary lives of the nursery school children. 2. Though the personal experditure is put in a little more, as a policy of decreasing the young boys and girls' criminal genesis rate, and of clearing up their frustration, it is requested urgently that the recreation facilities of the nursery school must completely be equipped and the teachers of the nursery school must be increased. 3. In our families the parents of each family will have to improve their children's dietary lives with nutritious foods no less than the sports middle school principal or the manager of nursery school. On the other hand, it is required, for references, that we must reexamine the menu of joint boarding students so as to be more good one. To conclude, exceptiong the joint boarding students, in order to improve the children in our families, especially the nursery school children's health, and physical standard, to plan the increasing of the national power, to prevent juvenile crime, and to construct a bright welfare society, first of all it is expected that we must achieve, it is source, increasing of the gross national income urgently.

        Karyotypes of 4 species of the Acheilognathine fishes were studied using chromosomes of gill slit and kidney cells prepared by the flame drying technique. The results were classified into three patterns. The first (R.uyejii, A.limbata) possessed 48 chromosomes with the following kinetochore position : metacentric (m 4 or 5 pairs), submetacentric (sm 9 or 10 pairs), acrocentric and telocentric (a & t 10 pairs). The second (A.cyanostigma) contained 44 chromosomes, 6 pairs in the m-position, 8 pairs in the sm-position and 8 pairs in the a & t-positions. The third (R.notatus) possessed 46 chromosomes, 2 pairs in the sm-position and 21 pairs in the a & t positions. Sexual heteromorphism or intraspecific poly morphism of the chromosomes was not observed in any species studied.

        Karyotypes of 7 species of the Gobioninae fishes were using chromosomes of gill and kidney cells prepared by the flame drying technique. The results obtained were as follows; 1) All of 7 species had the diploid chromosome number of 50. 2) Total arm numbers (AN) of 7 species were 92 and 94. 3) In the case of P. esocinus, S. nigripinnis morii and G. strigatus, a pair of large metacentric chromosome were observed.
