      • Teachers’ Collaborative Professional Development Model through Video Analysis Methods-Design Based Research in 2011~2012

        This article describes a teacher’s professional development model based on collaborative learning theory and video reflective club experiences. 408 teachers of all subjects joined our program and 113 of them upload their videos for discussion and reflections. We are doing this research in a real-life environment with multiple variables, and have to adopt design based research as methodology. At the very beginning we put up a VOD platform and quantitative analysis results for teachers to make their discussion; then we keep collecting filed notes, patch flaws and add elements that might work. After 3 iterations, the author summarized all the positive effect and simplified the whole process into a cycling model. Which uses teachers’ real-life classroom video as media, video analysis as scaffold, online discussion as main activity, reflection as guarantee, and trying to make them redesign their instructional design as a continuous process.

        Chitosan-based porous carbon as a support for Zn-based catalysts in acetylene acetoxylation

        Using the biomass material chitosan as a precursor and potassium citrate (PC) as a substitute for traditionalcorrosive activators such as KOH and ZnCl2, a chitosan-based porous carbon material with high specific surfacearea was successfully prepared and used as a support for the catalytic acetylene acetoxylation reaction. By controllingthe PC content and the calcination temperature, chitosan-based porous carbon with a suitable pore structure and abundantsurface oxygen functional groups was obtained. The inductively coupled plasma analysis confirmed that the zinccontent of the 0.9Zn/CS-PC1-800 catalyst was about 14 wt%, and the acetic acid conversion reached 81%. Furthermore,the scanning electron microscopy and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis showed that the catalyst carrierwas mesoporous carbon material, and different PC content formed different pore size distribution at different calcinationtemperatures. In addition, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis demonstrated that the content of O in chitosan-based porous carbon was rich, and PC consumed the O content on the surface of carbon materials duringactivation. Because O content and pore size structure on carrier surface are closely related to acetic acid conversion,reasonable PC content and calcination temperature are very important for acetic acid conversion.

        STRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT OF TRUCK CARRIAGE WITH SEALING COVER

        SolidWorks and ANSYS Workbench were used to establish solid model and perform FEM analysis of truck with and without sealing covers respectively. In the past practical production, there has been no precedent for the modal analysis of the truck carriage with a sealing cover; the modal analysis is carried out for the first time in this paper. The vibration characteristics of the truck carriage are obtained. The first ten-order of non-rigid mode of the newly development truck carriage is obtained and the excitation frequency range of the idling state of the engine is calculated to avoid resonating with the ground. In order to avoid the resonance phenomenon during the truck running, the vibration characteristics of the new carriage model were studied, the first ten non-rigid modes of the new carriage model were extracted, and the excitation frequency range of the engine during idling was calculated. The non-rigid natural frequencies of the first 10 free models are between 6.18 ~ 26.74 Hz. The engine idling excitation frequency is 32.5 ~ 145 Hz, and the common excitation frequency caused by road roughness is 3 Hz. In theory, it does not cause resonance when driving in a normal state.

      • Transformation of China's Urban Entrepreneurialism: The Case Study of the City of Kunshan

        This article examines the formation and transformation of urban entrepreneurialism in the context of China’s market transition. Using the case study of Kunshan, which is ranked as one of the hundred “economically strongest county-level jurisdictions” in the country, the authors argue that two phases of urban entrepreneurialism—one from the 1990s until 2005, and another from 2005 onward—can be roughly distinguished. The first phase of urban entrepreneurialism was more market driven and locally initiated in the context of territorial competition. The second phase of urban entrepreneurialism involves greater intervention on the part of the state in the form of urban planning and top-down government coordination and regional collaboration. The evolution of Kunshan’s urban entrepreneurialism is not a result of deregulation or the retreat of the state. Rather, it is a consequence of reregulation by the municipal government with the goal of territorial consolidation.

      • Multi-objective Optimization of the Steering Linkages Considering Transmitting Ratios

        Trapezoidal mechanisms and swing arm mechanisms in the steering linkages were usually designed separately, and only the steered wheel deflection errors were fixed as the optimization objective. To deal with these design faults, multi-objective optimization model of the steering linkages were developed in this paper. The model considered not only the steered wheel deflection errors but also the unevenness of the steering linkages transmitting ratios. In the model, the optimization variables were the link dimensions of the steering linkages and the optimization was processed in Adams software using SPQ algorithm. The optimization results show that the unevenness of the first axle steering mechanism transmitting ratio reduced from9.7% to 4.9%, the unevenness of the second axle steering mechanism transmitting ratio reduced from3.8% to 2.1%, the maximum deflection error of the first axle right steered wheel reduced 39.3%, the maximum deflection error of the second axle left steered wheel reduced 21.4%, the maximum deflection error of the second axle right steered wheel reduced 48.4%. Benefitting from the unevenness improvement of the steering linkages transmitting ratios, the maximum difference between the bilateral deflection errors of the first axle right steered wheel reduced from1 to 0.5 , the maximum difference between the bilateral deflection errors of the second axle left steered wheel reduced from 4 to 0.8 , the homologous maximum difference of the second axle right steered wheel reduced from 6 to 0.3 . For the handiness, the maximum difference of the bilateral steering forces reduced from1.44Nㆍm to1.1Nㆍm, the maximum difference of the bilateral number of the steering wheel turns reduced from 0.15 to 0.11. For the lemniscate simulations, the difference between the positive and negative amplitude of the yaw angular velocity reduced from1.67 / s to 0.58 / s , the difference between the positive and negative amplitude of the lateral accelerometer reduced from 2 83.3mm/ s2 to 49.6mm/ s2 . Because the unevenness of the steering linkages transmitting ratios was optimized, the steered wheel deflection errors tended to be bilateral symmetry and the vehicle handiness and control stability were both improved.

        Removal of Cd(II) Ions from Wastewater by Compounding an O-Xanthogenated Chitosan Schiff Base and Fe(III) Ions

        The removal of Cd(II) ions from wastewater via the compound flocculation of O-xanthogenated chitosan Schiff base (XCTS) and Fe(III) ions was studied. The compound flocculant Fe(III)/XCTS was effective in an acid range of pH 3.0-5.0. When the pH was 3.0 and the compound ratio of [Fe(III)]/[XCTS] was 1:12, the compounded system Fe(III)/XCTS had the best effect on the removal of Cd(II) ions; the removal rate of Cd(II) ions was greater than 99.5%, and the Cd(II) ion concentration of the treated wastewater met the 0.1 mg L-1 limit set by the National Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard of China. Furthermore, while studying the compound flocculation of Fe(III) ions and XCTS, we found that the approach enhanced the growth and structure of the flocs in the progress of removing Cd(II) ions.

        Parametric studies on sloshing in a three-dimensional prismatic tank with different water depths, excitation frequencies, and baffle heights by a Cartesian grid method

        This paper aims to numerically investigate violent sloshing in a partially filled three-dimensional (3D) prismatic tank with or without a baffle, further to clarify the suppressing performance of the baffle and the damping mechanism of sloshing. The numerical model is based on a Cartesian grid multiphase flow method, and it is well validated by nonlinear sloshing in a 3D rectangular tank with a vertical baffle. Then, sloshing in an unbaffled and baffled prismatic tank is parametrically studied. The effects of chamfered walls on the resonance frequency and the impact pressure are analyzed. The resonance frequencies for the baffled prismatic tank under different water depths and baffle heights are identified. Moreover, we investigated the effects of the baffle on the impact pressure and the free surface elevation. Further, the free surface elevation, pressure and vortex contours are analyzed to clarify the damping mechanism between the baffle and the fluid.

        The Novel Efficient Dual-field FIPS Modular Multiplication

        The modular multiplication is the key module of public-key cryptosystems such as RSA (Rivest-Shamir-Adleman) and ECC (Elliptic Curve Cryptography). However, the efficiency of the modular multiplication, especially the modular square, is very low. In order to reduce their operation cycles and power consumption, and improve the efficiency of the public-key cryptosystems, a dual-field efficient FIPS (Finely Integrated Product Scanning) modular multiplication algorithm is proposed. The algorithm makes a full use of the correlation of the data in the case of equal operands so as to avoid some redundant operations. The experimental results show that the operation speed of the modular square is increased by 23.8% compared to the traditional algorithm after the multiplication and addition operations are reduced about (s<sup>2</sup>-s)/2, and the read operations are reduced about s<sup>2</sup>-s, where s=n/32 for n-bit operands. In addition, since the algorithm supports the length scalable and dual-field modular multiplication, distinct applications focused on performance or cost could be satisfied by adjusting the relevant parameters.

        Effects of different types of xanthophyll extracted from marigold on pigmentation of yellow-feathered chickens

        Objective: This study aimed to explore the effects of different types of xanthophyll extracted from marigold on the growth performance, skin color, and carcass pigmentation. Methods: A total of 192 healthy 60-day-old yellow-feathered broilers weighing an average of 1,279±81 g were randomly allocated to 4 groups, each with 6 replicates and 8 broilers. The 4 treatments were as follows: i) CON group, fed with basal diet; ii) LTN group, supplemented with lutein; iii) MDP group, supplemented with monohydroxyl pigment including dehydrated lutein, β-cryptoxanthin, and α-cryptoxanthin; iv) LTN+MDP group, supplemented with lutein and monohydroxyl pigment in proportion to 1:1. The supplementary content of LTN, MDP, and LTN+MDP was 2 g/kg. Skin color was measured after 7, 14, 21, and 28 days of feeding the dietary treatments. The breast, thigh, and abdominal fat of slaughtered chickens were stored in cold storage at 4℃ for 24 hours and then the meat color of lightness (L<sup>*</sup>), redness (a<sup>*</sup>), and yellowness (b<sup>*</sup>) values was determined. Results: The results showed that all treatments enhanced the yellow scores of subwing skin on day 14, 21, and 28 (p<0.05), and the mixture of lutein and monohydroxyl pigment promoted the yellow scores of shanks on day 14, 21, and 28 (p<0.05). The mixture of lutein and monohydroxyl pigment increased the yellow scores of beaks and all treatments enhanced the yellow of shanks on day 28 (p<0.05). In addition, all treatments improved the yellow (b<sup>*</sup>) values of breast and thigh muscle, moreover, the monohydroxyl pigment and the mixture of lutein and monohydroxyl pigment enhanced the values of redness (a<sup>*</sup>) and yellow (b<sup>*</sup>) of abdominal fat (p<0.05). Conclusion: In summary, different types of xanthophyll extracted from marigold significantly increased the yellow scores of skin color and the yellow (b<sup>*</sup>) values of carcass pigmentation. Especially, the mixture of lutein and monohydroxyl pigment was more efficient on skin color.

        Whole Exome Sequencing in the Accurate Diagnosis of Bilateral Breast Cancer: a Case Study

        When faced with a case of bilateral breast cancer (BBC), understanding how to differentiate bilateral primary breast cancer from contralateral metastatic breast cancer is essential for treatment, but clear identification criteria have not been established to date. Diverse events play different roles in the therapy and prognosis of BBC; hence, it is of great significance to detect a more comprehensive and convincing technique to make an accurate differential diagnosis. We report a rare case of synchronous BBC in a 61-year-old Chinese woman. Based on her clinical and pathological features and the use of whole exome sequencing and cancer genome analysis, we concluded that the patient developed contralateral metastatic breast cancer which metastasized from left to right. Therefore, together with clinical, pathological and cancer genomics information, we could precisely define the origin and evolution of BBC.
