        Singularities of divisors on flag varieties via Hwang's product theorem

        We give an alternative proof of a recent result by B.~Pasquier stating that for a generalized flag variety $X=G/P$ and an effective $\QQ$-divisor $D$ stable with respect to a Borel subgroup the pair~\mbox{$(X,D)$} is Kawamata log terminal if and only if~\mbox{$\lfloor D\rfloor=0$}.

        국내에 소장되어 있는 한국산 푸른자나방아과와 물결자냐방亞과의 표본들을 조사한 결과 1신종 Maxates sungbokahni sp. nov. 를 기재하고, 10미기록종 Comibaena diluta (Warren), Comibaena tanerei Graeser, Comibaena subdelicata Inoue, Hemistola nemoriata (Staudinger), Hemistola cinctigutta Prout, A Anticollix sparsata (Treitschkel, Euphyia discomelaina (Wehrli), Perizoma haasi (Hedemann), Perizoma contritum (Prout), Perizoma hydratum (Treitschke)을 발표한다. 그리고 분포가 혼동되고 있던 Thalera lacerataria Graeser의 국내분포를 재확인하고, Trichoperyx inouei Hashimoto와 Epilobophora obscuraria (Leech), Xanthorhoe fluctuata malleola Inoue의 채집기록을 추가하였다. A new species, Maxates sungbokahni sp. nov. is described and 10 speceis; Comibaena diluta(Warren, 1895), Comibaena tancrei Graeser, 1889, Comibaena subdelicata Inoue, 1986, Hemistola nemoriata(Staudinger, 1897), Hemistola cinctigutta Prout, 1935, Anticollix sparsata(Teitschke, 1828), Subphyla discomelaina(Wehrli, 1931), Perizoma haasi(Hedemann, 1881), Perizoma contritum(Prout, 1913), and Perizoma hydratum(Treitschke, 1829) are reported for the first time from Korea. Distribution of Thalera lacerataria Graeser, 1889, in Korea is reconfirmed. New data on the distribution of Trichoperyx inouei Hashimoto, Epilobophora obscuraria(Leech), and Xanthorhoe fluctuata malleola Inoue in Korea are provided.

        자나방과 (Lepidoptera, Geometridae)의 한국 미기록종 1종 보고

        해외에서는 산림에 심각한 피해를 주는 Melanolophia imitata(Walker)가 우리나라에서 처음으로 보고된다. 이 종은 캐나다에서는 침엽수의 해충으로 알려져 있으며 동아시아 지역에서도 대량 발생할 경우 심각한 산림해충으로 예상되는 종이다 The American species Melanolophia imitata (Walker) is recorded for the fist time from Korea. The species attacks various coniferous trees in Canada and, in prospect, it can stay a serious pest of forestry in East Asia.

        The Bogomolov-Prokhorov invariant of surfaces as equivariant cohomology

        For a complex smooth projective surface $M$ with an action of a finite cyclic group $G$ we give a uniform proof of the isomorphism between the invariant $H^1(G, H^2(M, \Z))$ and the first cohomology of the divisors fixed by the action, using $G$-equivariant cohomology. This generalizes the main result of Bogomolov and Prokhorov \cite{BP}.

        Exploring fauna of Microlepidoptera in South Siberia: novel regional records and interception of quarantine species

        We report the results of a faunistic study of Microlepidoptera performed in Southern Siberia usingdiverse sampling techniques allowing to cover various taxonomic groups. The provided taxonomic list iscomprised of 64 species from 44 genera and 18 families, where all species represent novel geographicalrecords. Of them, only 62 species inhabit Southern Siberia, the other two species, Tuta absoluta (Meyrick)and Carposina sasakii Matsumura are quarantine pests intercepted in this region. Eighteen genera and 3families (Glyphipterigidae, Chimabachidae, and Oecophoridae) are reported for the first time from thestudied region. Overall, 11 species from 7 families are novel for Siberia. Two species, Bucculatrix pannonicaand Coleophora curictae, are newly recorded in Russia. For the species newly recorded in the faunaof Siberia and Russia, male or female genitalia are illustrated. For Coleophora curictae, representing anovel record for Russia, the bionomics is given for the first time.

        Diversity and ecology of hawk moths of the genus Hemaris (Lepidoptera, Sphingidae) of the Russian Far East

        In this article, four species of the genus Hemaris (Lepidoptera, Sphingidae) are recognized from the RussianFar East: Hemaris ottonis (Rothschild and Jordan, 1903), Hemaris affinis (Bremer, 1861), Hemaris fuciformis(Linnaeus, 1758), and Hemaris radians (Walker, 1856). An identification key, redescriptions, distributions,and overviews of the ecology of Hemaris species in the Russian Far East are provided. The larval host plantof H. ottonis is recognized for the first time asWeigela praecox (Caprifoliaceae). The morphology and biologyof preimaginal stages of H. ottonis have been studied for the first time. Larvae of this species are verydifferent from other Hemaris species. The life cycle of H. radians is given for the first time, with its larvalhost plant in the southern part of Primorsky Krai determined to be Scabiosa lachnophylla (Dipsacaceae).

        The Superhydrophobic State Stability of Coatings Based on Copolymers of Glycidyl Methacrylate and Alkyl Methacrylates on Cotton Fabric Surface

        We suggest a simple and reproducible strategy for fabricating durable superhydrophobic coatings on the basis ofseries of functional random copolymers of alkyl methacrylates and glycidyl methacrylate on cotton fabric surface. Theprocedure consists of the fabric treatment by solutions of copolymers in methylethylketone and following heating at 140 °C. The initial contact angles of obtained coatings on fabric surface achieve 165 °. The dependence of superhydrophobicproperties of coatings based on copolymers of glycidyl methacrylate and alkyl (meth)acrylates (with alkyl radicals С4-С18 inside chains) attached to the cotton fabric surface was studied. The comparative analysis of superhydrophobic state stability ofpolymer coatings during long-term contacts with aggressive media is presented. We evaluated the contact angles stability as afunction of prolonged contact of polymer coatings with water under saturated vapor conditions, organic solvents, andsynthetic detergents. Polymeric coatings based on a copolymer of lauryl methacrylate (С12) and glycidyl methacrylateprovide better stability of superhydrophobic properties compared with other copolymers of alkyl methacrylates.

        Flow Characteristics in Spin-Up of a Three-Layer Fluid

        A numerical study is made of the spin-up from rest of a three-layer fluid in a closed, vertically-mounted cylinder. The densities in the upper layer ρ₁, middle layer ρ₂ and lower layer ρ₃are ρ₃>ρ₂>ρ₁, and the kinematic viscosities are left arbitrary. The representative system Ekman number is small. Numerical solutions are obtained to the time-dependent axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations, and the treatment of the interfaces is modeled by use of the Height of Liquid method. Complete three-component velocity fields, together with the evolution of the interface deformations, are depicted. At small times, when the kinematic viscosity in the upper layer is smaller than in the middle layer, the top interface rises (sinks) in the central axis (peripheral) region. When the kinematic viscosity in the lower layer is smaller than in the middle layer, the bottom interface rises (sinks) in the periphery (axis) region. Detailed shapes of interfaces are illustrated for several cases of exemplary viscosity ratios.

        Vladimir Putin`s New Foreign Policy and Russian Views of the Situation on the Korean Peninsula

        President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia is open to the world and is ready to develop cooperation and dialogue with all countries. Russia`s goal is a stable and secure world. The basis for building it is equality, mutual respect and mutually beneficial cooperation. The situation in the Asia-Pacific region is relatively stable. In general, the positive dynamics for its development, acquired in the years following the end of global bipolar confrontation, remain. Russia firmly intends to develop normal, mutually beneficial ties with all the countries of the sub-region, to bring them to the partnership level, and is ready to actively use the present dialogue channels in Northeast Asia in order to strengthen regional predictability and stability. The Korean peninsula is one of Russia`s foreign policy priorities in Asia; it is a zone of our national interests. Russia supports the processes leading to the dc-isolation of the DPRK and its integration into the international community, to the national accord and reconciliation of the Koreans, and eventually to the unification of the divided nation through a constructive inter Korean dialogue. History confirms that separated nations and countries should eventually reunite. It is equally important to understand that the ultimate reunification of Korea will require also the support and understanding of the international community, first of all of major powers. And we have to start creating such international mechanisms of dialogue in Northeast Asia long in advance.

      • Modal Parametric Optimization of Control Laws with Special Structure

        The paper is devoted to particular cases of optimization problems for dynamical systems with scalar control and external disturbance. The aim is to find optimal parameters of an output feedback controller having initially given structure. An admissible set of controllers is determined by the requirement to place the poles of linear closed-loop connection inside desirable regions on the complex left-half plane. Numerical algorithm is proposed to solve the posed problem using special multi-purposes structure of the controller. To show practical applicability and effectiveness of the proposed approach and the benefits of developed methods, the illustrative example of marine autopilot design is presented.
