        Asia Jewelry Enterprises Using the Structural Equation Model and the Implication on the Korea Jewelry Industry

        Purpose – The purpose of this paper is investigating on how sustainable development goals can be reflected on the jewelry industry and what are the key factors to better the jewelry enterprises that influences on maintaining the sustainability of the sector. Design/Methodology/Approach – Based on the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), This research made empirical analysis on whether designated internal and external factors influence to the performance of Jewelry Enterprises and how these factors interact or influence on one another within the Jewelry Industry Ecosystem. Findings – This paper studies the performance of jewelry enterprises of Asia Jewelry Industries and its implications on Korea Jewelry Industry, positive or the negative impacts of internal and external factors, developing according to the Jewelry Industry Ecosystem. Research Implications – In the management of this paper, this study has significance in developing the Korea Jewelry Industry, further improving Asia jewelry industries that has less damage to the surroundings by unifying in shared vision focusing on “Sustainable Development Goals”.

      • Development of Signal Monitoring Platform for Sound Source Localization System

        The sound source localization system is used to some area such as robotic system, object localization system, guarding system and medicine. So time delay estimation and angle estimation of sound direction are studied until now. These days time delay estimation is described in LabVIEW which is used to create innovative computerbased product and deploy measurement and control systems. In this paper, the development of signal monitoring platform is presented for sound source localization. This platform is designed in virtual instrument program and implemented in two stages. In first stage, data acquisition system is proposed and designed to analyze time delay estimation using cross correlation. In second stage, data obtaining system which is applied and designed to monitor analog signal processing is proposed.

        Complexation of Adiponectin-encoding Plasmid DNA with Rosiglitazone-Loaded cationic Liposomes

        To enhance therapeutic effects of insulin-sensitizing adipokine, ADN gene and potent agonists, rosiglitazone for the PPARγ, cationic liposomes as non-viral vectors were formulated. The particle size and zeta potential of drug loaded and unloaded cationic liposomes were investigated. The complex formation between cationic liposomes and negatively charged plasmid DNA was confirmed and the protection from DNase was observed. In vitro transfection was investigated in HepG2, HeLa, and HEK293 cells by mRNA expression of ADN. Encapsulation efficacy of rosiglitazone-loaded liposomes was determined by UV detection. Particle sizes of cationic liposomes were in the range of 110-170 nm and those of rosiglitazone-loaded cationic liposomes were in the range of 130-180 nm, respectively. Gel retardation of complexes indicated that the complex was formed at weight ratios of cationic lipid to plasmid DNA higher than 20:1. Both complexes protected plasmid DNA from DNase either drug free or drug loading. Encapsulation efficiency of rosiglitazone-loaded emulsion was increased by drug dose. The mRNA expression levels of ADN were dose-dependently increased in cells transfected with plasmid DNA. Therefore, cationic liposomes could be potential co-delivery system for drug and gene.

      • Fiscal and Monetary Policy: Coordination or Conflict?

        This paper examines the interaction between monetary and fiscal policies. Using annual panel data covering the period from 1991 to 2016 for 42 countries, it characterizes the cyclical behavior of monetary and fiscal policy, distinguishing countries by institutional characteristics and policy frameworks. It also applies heterogeneous structural panel VAR methodology to quarterly data from a subset of these countries to assess the response to aggregate demand shocks. The main finding is that central bank independence and inflation targeting are associated with more countercyclical monetary and fiscal policies and an increased degree of coordination between the two.

        Performance Evaluation of Location Estimation System Using a Non Fixed Single Receiver

        General location aware systems are only applied to indoor and outdoor environments using more than three transmitters to estimate a fixed object location. Those kinds of systems have environmental restrictions that require an already established infrastructure. To solve this problem, an Object Location Estimation (OLE) algorithm based on PTP (Point To Point) communication has been proposed. However, the problem with this method is that deduction of performance parameters is not enough and location estimation is very difficult because of unknown restriction conditions. From experimental tests in this research, we determined that the performance parameters for restriction conditions are a maximum transmission distance of CSS communication and an optimum moving distance interval between personal locations. In this paper, a system applied OLE algorithm based on PTP communication is implemented using a CSS (Chirp Spread Spectrum) communication module. A maximum transmission distance for CSS communication and an optimum moving distance interval between personal locations are then deducted and studied to estimate a fixed object location for generalization.

        Sustainable Growth Factors of SMEs in Developing Countries -Focus on Creating an Ecosystem to the Jewelry Industry in Indonesia-

        본 연구는 쥬얼리 산업이 생태계에 따라 지속 가능한 발전을 할 수 있다는 가정 하에 분석적 접근법을 통해 쥬얼리 산업 생태계를 분석하고자 하였다. 지속 가능한 개발 목표의 작용은 사업 환경의 다양한 분야에서 이루어진다. 국가와 기업들의 지속가능한 발전으로 널리 인정받았지만 쥬얼리 산업 생태계(JIE)는 여전히 이 범주에 속하지 않았다. 쥬얼리 산업을 하나의 생태계 유형으로 발전시키는 개념은 인도네시아 쥬얼리 산업부문이 전체적으로 세계 보석 시장에서 안정적이고 건강하고 오래 지속되도록 이끌 수 있다. 인도네시아 쥬얼리 산업의 생태계를 일반 쥬얼리 시장의 이해와 인도네시아 시장의 특성을 바탕으로 했다. 글로벌 쥬얼리 시장의 국가들은 선진국 · 개발도상국 · 신흥국의 시장의 특성에 의해 차별화될 수 있으며 그에 따라 성공 요인이 다를 수 있다. 인도네시아의 경우, 쥬얼리 산업의 시장은 다른 나라들과 차별화되었는데, 쥬얼리 산업의 대다수는 다양한 문화에 의해 경계를 이루는 수많은 섬들에 위치한 중소기업과 구조화된 신흥 시장이었다. 또한, 인도네시아 쥬얼리 산업 생태계의 성공 요인을 정의하는 것을 암시했다. 이 논문은 이 아이디어에 기여하기 위해 비즈니스 생태계의 시스템을 검토하여 쥬얼리 산업 생태계로서 연구에 적용하였다. 생태계 개념의 이점은 복합 공동체 내에서 기업이나 조직을 함께 성장시키는 것이다. 쥬얼리 산업 생태계의 구조는 생산자, 제품, 고객 및 인큐베이터로 세분되며, 상호간의 동적 상호작용은 생태계의 전체 기능의 신뢰성에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 쥬얼리 산업 기능의 효율성을 정의하기 위해 생태계와 관련된 수많은 요소들이 있지만, 이 연구는 인도네시아의 전체 쥬얼리 산업 생태계의 지속 가능한 발전을 향상시킬 수 있는 몇 가지 주요 잠재적 요소들을 제시한다.

        Formulation Parameters Influencing the Physicochemical Characteristics of Rosiglitazone-loaded Cationic Lipid Emulsion

        To enhance the solubility of rosiglitazone, rosiglitazone-loaded cationic lipid emulsion was formulated using cationic lipid DOTAP, DOPE, castor oil, tween 20, and tween 80. The formulation parameters in terms of droplet size were optimized focused on the effect of the cationic lipid emulsion composition ratio on drug encapsulating efficiency, in vitro drug release, and cellular uptake of the rosiglitazone-loaded emulsion. Droplet sizes of a blank cationic emulsion and a rosiglitazone-loaded cationic emulsion ranged between 195-230 nm and 210-290 nm, respectively. The encapsulation efficiency of the rosiglitazone-loaded emulsion was more than 90%. The rosiglitazone-loaded cationic emulsion improved in vitro drug release over the drug alone and showed a much higher cellular uptake than rosiglitazone alone. Moreover, drug loading in cationic emulsions increased cellular uptake of rosiglitazone in insulin-resistant HepG2 cells more than the normal HepG2 cells. Taken together, these results indicate that cationic lipid emulsions could be a potential delivery system for rosiglitazone and could enhance its cellular uptake efficiency into target cells.
