Many cities and provinces are rapidly depleting landfill spaces. As the result, some municities have adopted to Incinerate their municipal solid waste(MSW). The motive behind the choice is that incineration significantly reduces the volume of solid waste in need of disposal, destroys the harmful organic compounds that are present in MSW, and provides an attractive source of alternative energy. Conclusively, the generation of MSW ash is expected to increse in the furture. However, disposing the MSW ash in landfills may not always be an environmentally or an economically feasible solution. This paper addresses the various issues associated with MSW ash and its possible use in construction applications.

Zeolite-Na에 Ag이온을 치환시켜 제조한 무기계 항균제를 이용하여 식품의 부패나 식중독을 초래할 수 있는 5종의 세균에 대한 항균력을 조사하였다. 이 들 5종에 대한 최소 저해 농도는 Escherichia coli는 0.1%이상, Pseudomonas aeruginosa는 0.01%, Klebsiella pneumoniae는 0.05%, Staphylococcus aureus와 Bacillus subtlis는 0.03%로 나타났다. 이 들 세균에 대한 0.1%의 Ag-ZA 첨가에서의 살균효과는 90%의 균 사멸시간으로 나타낼 때 Escherichia coli는 70분, Bacillus subtlis는 92분, Staphylococcus aureus는 111분, Klebsiella pneumoniae는 158분, Pseudomonas aeruginosa는 231분으로 나타났고, Ag-ZA 첨가량의 증가에 따른 사멸 속도의 변화는 Gram 음성균에서는 속도의 증가가 나타나지만 Gram 양성균에서는 속도의 변화를 관찰할 수 없었다. The investigation of antimicrobial activity on the Ag-ZA which is prepared by ion exchanging between Zeolite-Na and Ag ion. Minimum inhibitory concentrations are 0.01% for Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 0.05% for Klebsiella pneumoniae and 0.03% for Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtlis. 90% sterilization time with 0.1% Ag-ZA are 70min., 92min., 111min., 158min., 231min. for Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtlis, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa respectively. The sterilization effect is more important in gram neative bacteria than gram positive bacteria.

몬트리올 의정서에 의해서 규제받는 CFCs와 Halon의 대체 물질인 HFC-23, HFC-125, HFC-227ea, HFC-236fa와 불활성 화합물 Ar, N₂, CO₂의 열역학적 물성인 포화압력, 밀도, 엔탈피, 점도를 비교하였다. 본 연구에서는 소화제의 물성을 문헌값을 온도의 함수로서 표시하였다. HFC화합물의 열역학적 물성은 Halon-1301과 비슷하게 나타내었다. 불활성 화합물은 주로 혼합물로 이용되지만, 불활성 화합물의 물성은 Halon-13O1에 비하며 바람직하지 않았다. For CFCs and Halons regulated by Montreal Protocol and their alternatives of HFC-23, HFC-125, HFC-227ea, HFC-236fa and the mixtures of inert gases of Ar, N₂ and CO₂, the thermodynamic properties of saturated pressure, density, enthalpy and viscosity were compared. In this study, the data from literature were expressed as a function of temperature. Thermodynamic properties of HFC compounds were similar to those of Halon-1301. Inert gas was mainly used as a mixture, but the physical properties of the inert gas does not have the favorable advantages over those of Halon-1301.

This paper deals with some properites of eddy current sensors to measure corrosion of ACSR(Aluminium Cable Steel Reinforced). Electrical and magnetic features for the encircling type coil sensor, such as impedance variation and penetration depth, are described in detail. Sevral coil sensors are implemented and magnetic behaviors of them are examnied through some experiments. Furthermore, an altemative Maxwell inductance bridge circuit using only one coil sensor instead of 2 coil sensors is proposed and its effectiveness in order to measure corrosion and erosion of ACSR is also verified.

The works of willa Cather have been studied from many points of view by critics and researchers. Cather's descriptions of the land and of the Great Plains are especially well-known to researchers and her readers. Most, of course, never fail to acknowledge Cather's vivid portrayal of the frontier and pioneer spirit in her masterpieces O Pioneers! and My A´ntonia. The stories and characters she wrote about were fundamentally connected with natural factors and matters. Nowadays, there is a highly significant tendency in our daily lives: ecology is applied to every place and every moment in order to provide better environments for human lives and human beings. Thus in this thesis, I examine Cather's novels from a specified point of view, ecofeminism. I try to show the bad effects from the betrayals of ecofeminism principles in A Lost Lady. I discuss how Cather treats characters who go against ecofeminist principles. I present this notion with examples from A Lost Lady. Captain Forrester in A Lost Lady lived tragic lives. The lives of Forrester underwent rapid changes. When he of his wife pursued money, their lives lost value. The pursuits for gold and moral corruptions of his wife accelerated the degradation of captain Forrester. Money, the idol of the modern world, changed their lives. The ultimate significance of this thesis is to point out that Cather's writings give us a chance to find ourselves, to think about the way we conduct our lives in relation to others and to the natural world. All of us must find ways to enhance our lives in harmony with the natural environment in which we live. We can then positively alter the course of human history.
윌라 캐더 작품에 나타난 에코페미니즘 : O Pioneers!와 My Antonia O Pioneers!, My Antonia

Willa Cather's works have been studied in various ways for pas decades. Some say her works are the frontier's novels and others say lesbian and feminism novels. In this thesis, however, I have dealt Cather's works, O Pioneers! and My A′ntonia in an ecofeministic point of view. Nowadays, of course, the ecofeminism is different from the authors. They usually described the rights of the women and the equation of the man and woman and how to struggle to get their natural rights. In this paper, I mainly followed point of view of Vandana Shiva, and Maria Mies. They think of the earth as Mother. They insisted that we have to take good care of the natural order and environment problems when we develop the earth. The mother is the resource of all the activities in human life. We can get all the energy from the fully understanding of the natural order an rules. The friendlier we treat the earth, the better life we can get. In O Pioneers! and My A′ntonia, I can analyse the facts that two main characters in both works perform their lives keeping the rules and orders of the nature. If they ignored the natural order and the rules, they usually had hard time and difficulties in their live. We can recognize that Alexandra in O Pioneers! and Antonia in My A′ntonia lived very difficult lives but their effort for the earning their livings was very hard and desperate. In case of their forgetting the nature and the earth for the time being or staying away from the country, their lives with their family were even worse than ever. If they kept the natural law and energetic powerful will came from the earth in their minds, their lives would be changed. In that point, we can understand the relationships between human beings and the earth. Also we perceived how the earth in our life, effects us.

쑥의 효과적인 이용방법을 위해서 쑥의 최적건조 조건을 설정하고, 대두와 숙의 기능적 특성을 잘 살린 쑥을 첨가한 두부의 최적 가공조건과 제품의 저장 중 품질변화에 대해서 실험한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 건조과정 중 쑥은 조단백질, 조지방 및 조회분은 감소하였으며, 반면 탄수화물은 증가하였다. 2. 1% NaHCO3에 데치기 하여 동결건조한 제품(FDB)이 쑥의 색도유지가 가장 잘 되었으며, Chlorophyll 잔존률도 가장 많았다. 3. 쑥을 첨가한 두부의 제조에서 응고제 GDL, 응고농도 0.1%, 응고온도 70-80℃, 쑥분말 첨가량 0.2%가 최적가공 조건이었다. 4. 쑥을 첨가한 두부의 저장에서 색도변화 및 TBA가의 변화로 미루어 보아 30℃에서는 12시간, 5℃에서는 4일 정도까지 저장 가능한 것으로 판단되었다. An investigation was carried out to study the optimum drying condition of mugwort, the optimum processing conditions of soybean curd added mugwort, and the quality change during storge of soybean curd added mugwort. Crude protein and crude lipid contents of mugwort were decreased during drying process, the contents of those in dried mugwort were 18.0-21.2%, 1.3%-4.0%, respectively. The freeze drying after blanching in 1% NaHCO3 solution(FDB) was the best in color index of dried mugwort, also the highest in retention ratio of total chlorophyll content. The yield of soybean curd with coagulants were showed that MgCl2, CaCl2, CaSO4 and GDL were 3.4g, 3.0g, 3.5g and 4.2g per 30g soy milk, respectively. GDL showed the highest yield among coagulants, and amount of GDL was suited at 0.1%. The optimum coagulation temperature was 70-80℃, addition amount of powered mugwort was 0.2%. The change of color index and TBA value were increased during storage. The quality of soybean curd added mugwort was maintained up to 12 hrs or 4 days at 30℃ or 5℃ storage, respectively.
Ruthenium complex, [(NH_3)_4Ru(dpp)]^2+의 전극반응속도

Impedance methode를 이용하여 빠른 산화-환원 속도를 가지는 [(NH_3)_4Ru(dpp)]^2+의 전극반응속도를 측정하고 검토하였다. 이 방법으로 구한 이 착이온의 확산계수, D 는 6.11×10^-7 cm^2/sec 이고 표준전극환원 반응속도 상수, k_s는 0.015 cm/sec 이었다. 이는 전형적인 빠른 전극반응 속도를 가지는 ferrocene에 대한 값, 0.154cm/sec의 1/10에 해당되며, 이 결과는 광 에너지 이용의 기초자료로 이용될 것이다. The electrochemical reaction rate constant of [(NH_3)_4Ru(dpp)]^2+ was examined and discussed by the impedance spectroscopic method (dpp=2,3-bis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine). The diffusion coefficient, D of the [(NH_3)_4Ru(dpp)]^2+ was determined as 6.11×10^-7 cm^2/sec and the electrochemical reaction rate constant, k_s was determined as 0.015 cm/sec. The k_s value was 1/10 of that ferrocene which has typically rapid electrode rate constant, and the result could be used as a basic reference for the reservation and application of light energy.

Abstract - In this paper, we propose a bidirectional mobile Ad Hoc routing protocol based on AODV(ad-hoc on-demand distance victor routing) with QoS(quality of service) support. At presence, wireless mobile communication focuses on how to efficiently support mobility of users more than QoS guarantee. However, in order to satisfy requirement of various applications which have been or will be served, QoS guarantee between end point is a very important issue. The existing AODV routing protocol is implemented to use only BE (Best Effort) service. However, actual wireless mobile environment requires to reduce a waste of communication resources and meet with the real-time change of data paths by setting up routes with QoS support, considering available communication resources at each node in advance. Therefore, in this thesis, we propose an adaptive QoS support method using hello message in order to rapidly meet with the change of available communication resources and to smoothly perform route maintenance. For performance evaluation, we analyzed the average date reception rate. At that time, we used evaluation parameters such as node's mobility -stop time, hello message period, and packet priority, considering the node's mobility and the number of best effort/QoS data flows. As results, we found that with our proposed method the average data reception rate was increased 16.3% for 0 mobility-stop second case and 4.7% for 300 mobility-stop second case.

Iron (Fe) is an essential metal in biological processes, which maintains a homeostasis in the human body Divalent metal transporter 1 (DMT1) has been known as an iron transporting membrane protein, which is involved in the uptake Fe at the apical portion of intestinal epithelium, and may transport Fe across the membrane of acidified endosome in peripheral tissues In this study, we studied the tissue distribution of DMT1 in the Fe supplemented (FeS) diet fed rats, and the regulation of DMT1 expression by depleting body Fe Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into two groups, and fed FeS (120mg Fe/kg) diet or Fe deficient (FeD, 2~6mg Fe/kg) diet for 4 weeks The evaluation of body Fe status was monitored by measuring sFe, UIBC and tissue Fe concentration Additionally, DMT1 mRNA levels were analyzed in the peripheral tissues by using the quantitative real time RT-PCR method In the FeS diet fed rats, the tissue Fe was maintained at a relatively high level, and DMT1 was eventually expressed in all tissues studied DMT1 was highly expressed in the testis, kidney and spleen, while a moderate levels of DMT1 expression was detected in the brain, liver and heart In the digestive system, the highest level of DMT1 was found in the duodenum Feeding the FeD diet caused a reduced body weight gain and depletion of body Fe with finding of decreased sFe, increased UIBC and decreased tissue Fe concentration The depletion of body Fe upregulated DMT1 expression in the peripheral tissue The expression of DMT1 was very sensitive to the body Fe depletion in the small intestine, especially in the duodenum, showing dramatically higher levels in the FeD rats than those of the FeS group In the FeD diet fed animals, the expression of DMT1 was low significantly in other tissues compared with the duodenum The expression of DMT1, however, was 60~120% higher in the testis, kidney and spleen, and 30~50% higher in the lung, liver and heart, compared to the FeS diet fed rats In summary, DMT1 expression was ubiquitous in mammalian tissue, and the level of expression was the organ-dependent The expression of DMT1 in peripheral tissues was upregulated by depletion of body Fe Duodenum was the most sensitive tissue among organs studied during Fe depletion, and expressed the greatest level of DMT1, while other tissues were less higher than in duodenum This study supports that DMT1 plays a role in maintaining the body Fe level through intestinal uptake as well as homeostasis of Fe in the peripheral tissue.
