Drug stabilization and controlled release from AB3 type tetra block copolymer based polymersome

In order to increase the bioavailability of hydrophilic unstable drugs, polymersomes from AB3 type tetra block copolymers composing of poly(ethylene glycol)-b-(3) poly(lactic acid) (EO-3LA) as a water-soluble drug delivery carrier have been investigated due to its unique properties such as high stability and high water soluble drug loading efficiency. The sizes of EO-3LA polymersomes determined by dynamic light scattering were ranged in 190–220 nm with monodispersion. Its polymeric layer with 10–20 nm at the outershell was observed by field emission scanning electron microscopy. The polymersomes showed low critical aggregation concentrations (9.2–14.9 ug/ml). Anthocyanin was employed as a model drug for unstable drug in this study. The anthocyanin loading contents of EO-3LA polymersomes are depending on PLLA content in the polymers. The high loading contents (6.6–7.0 wt%) of the polymersomes are due to their tight and rigid polymeric membranes. The polymeric membrane in EO-3LA polymersomes contributed to improve drug stability on various pHs. Moreover,this property induced sustained anthocyanin release pattern from the polymersome. Therefore, the polymersome has potential as a drug carrier for water-soluble and unstable drugs.

This paper deals with dynamic network connection and communication of multi robot control. Communication between each robot is very important to control multi robot. In this research, JAUS that is made by department of defense is used to control robot. This robot has GPS and wireless communication device that is a network router. It can connect several network routers and make a network group. In this paper, communication method and protocol that applied the robot are suggested to control robot platooning driving.

A reliability test in a fossil power plant is carried out for 240 hours to guarantee its normal operation, after its construction. The purpose of this test is to examine if the parameters such as generating power, pressure, temperature, flow rate satisfy design criteria, and to precisely tune inadequate parameters. This paper presents the causes of the problems in the reliability test of Taean unit 7 and their solutions.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>To evaluate candidate adsorbents for the recovery of nitrous oxide (N<SUB>2</SUB>O) from adipic acid off-gases, the equilibrium and kinetics of N<SUB>2</SUB>O and O<SUB>2</SUB> adsorption on activated carbon (AC) and of N<SUB>2</SUB>O, O<SUB>2</SUB>, and N<SUB>2</SUB> adsorption on a carbon molecular sieve (CMS) were evaluated at 293, 308, and 323 K under pressures up to 1000 kPa using a high-pressure volumetric system. Adsorption amount of N<SUB>2</SUB>O on AC and CMS exceeded those of N<SUB>2</SUB> and O<SUB>2</SUB>, and the adsorption isotherms for O<SUB>2</SUB> and N<SUB>2</SUB> were similar. The experimental N<SUB>2</SUB>O and O<SUB>2</SUB> uptakes on AC and CMS were fitted to a non-isothermal adsorption model, whereas the model was ineffective for predicting N<SUB>2</SUB> uptake on CMS. The isothermal dual-resistance model, considering surface barrier resistance and pore diffusion, adequately predicted N<SUB>2</SUB> uptake on CMS. The rate of adsorption of N<SUB>2</SUB>O on AC was much lower than that of O<SUB>2</SUB> and N<SUB>2</SUB> whereas the rate of adsorption on CMS flowed the order: O<SUB>2</SUB> > N<SUB>2</SUB>O ≫ N<SUB>2</SUB>, even though N<SUB>2</SUB>O has higher adsorption affinity and smaller kinetic diameter than O<SUB>2</SUB>. The Lewis structure of N<SUB>2</SUB>O was also found to influence the adsorption kinetics.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Adsorption of N<SUB>2</SUB>O on activated carbon and carbon molecular sieve was studied. </LI> <LI> The adsorbed amount of N<SUB>2</SUB>O on AC and CMS was much greater than those for O<SUB>2</SUB> and N<SUB>2</SUB>. </LI> <LI> The adsorption rate of N<SUB>2</SUB>O was slower than N<SUB>2</SUB> on AC, but much faster than N<SUB>2</SUB> on CMS. </LI> <LI> The adsorption rate of N<SUB>2</SUB>O was affected by the kinetic diameter and Lewis structure. </LI> </UL> </P>
