In this paper, we have developed a new Force-Display system using tendon-driven method. The proposed system is based on the HIR Lab Haptic library, which calculates the real position and renders the reflecting force data to device rapidly. The system is composed of device based tendon-driving method, high-speed controller and Haptic rendering library. The developed system will be used on constructing the dynamical virtual environment. To show the efficiency of our system, we designed simulation program which can display the moving force (attaching, grabbing, rotating) on two virtual point. As the result of the experiment, our proposed system shows much higher resolution than any others.

Bone formation is a complex process which involves a large number of cellular functions directed toward the synthesis and mineralization of bone matrix. Bone formation is regulated by systemic hormones and by systemic and local growth factors which influence bone replication, differentiation and the actual performance of specialized activities. The effects of hormones on bone metabolism have been studied extensively by a number of investigators and, recently, information about growth factors and their role in bone formation and bone resorption has become available. Our laboratory has been interested in the study of factors produced locally by the skeletal tissue. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of various growth factors on the growth of osteoblastic clone MC 3T3-El cells. Maximum stimulation of proliferation of osteoblastic cells, relative to corresponding controls, was seen at 0.1%-1% serum and the effects was dose-dependent. With various growth factors, such as IGF-Ⅰ,IGF-Ⅱ,EGF, and FGF, sustained the growth of calvarial cells in culture during multiple passages at 0.1% serum. In DNA synthesis assays, all growth factors stimulate cell proliferation. Stimulation of DNA synthesis peaked at 20ng/㎖ of IGF-Ⅰ, 50ng/㎖ of IGF-Ⅱ, and 20ng/㎖ of EGF, while higher concentrations were inhibitory or stationary. PTH-sensitive adenylate cyclase was stimulated by all growth factors. But the alkaline phosphatase activity decreased slowly in cells grown in all growth factors.

In this paper, We have developed the high-speed controller for haptic control. The proposed controller is based on the PCI/FPGA technology, which can calculate the real position and transmit the force data to device rapidly. The haptic system is composed of 6DOF force display device, high-speed controller. The developed system will be used on constructing the dynamical virtual environment. To show the efficiency of proposed system, we designed simulation program of force-reflecting. As the result of the experiment, we found that the controller has much higher resolution than some other controllers. The system is so efficient in a 1 PC-based system with l[kHz] haptic interrupt cycle.

The volatile compounds in natural sweet smelt were analyzed by liquid liquid continuous extraction/gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (LLCE/GC/MS) methods. A total of 64 compounds were detected in sample, and these were mainly composed of lipid oxidative compounds such as aldehydes, ketones, alcohols, acids and hydrocarbons besides terpens and aromatic compounds. Among these, 9-carbon compounds including (E)-2-nonenal, (E,Z)-2,6-nonadienal and (E,Z)-3,6-nonadien-1-ol were suspected to have a key role on odor of natural sweet smelt because these compounds have low odor threshold and water melon-like and melon-like odor, characteristic odor in sweet smelt.
해녀콩(Canavalia lineata)자엽에서 Canavalin의 일부 특성과 변화

해녀콩(Canavalia lineata)의 자엽에서 canavalin을 분리하여 그 특성을 알아보고 발아와 유식물 생장시 자엽에서 canavalin의 변화를 조사하였다. Sephacryl S-300 컬럼 크로마토그래피와 SDS-전기영동으로 canavalin과 그 subunit의 분자량이 각각 165kD와 49kD로 canavalin은 3량체임을 알았다. 그리고 등전점 전기영동으로 canavalin subunit의 등전점이 5.5이고 trypsin에 의하여 27kD와 25kD의 분해산물을 생성함을 알았다. 한편, 건조한 종자에는 canavalin과 그 subunit 그리고 25kD와 24kD의 작은 폴리펩티드가 존재하나 canavalin subunit는 점차 분해되고 25kD의 폴리펩티드는 4∼6일 이후에 모두 분해되지만 24kD의 폴리펩티드는 8일까지도 비교적 다량존재하였다. The properties and fate of canavalin were investigated in the cotyledons during germination and growth of Canavalia lineata. The molecular weights of canavalin and its subunit were determined by Sephacryl S-300 column chromatography and SDS-PAGE, leading to the inference that canavalin is consistent with the trimer structure consisting of 49kD subunit. The canavalin subunit had an apparent isoelectric point of approximately 5.5 based on denaturing IEF and was hydrolyzed by trypsin into two fragments of 27kD and 25kD representing cleavage at one vulnerable point in the polypeptide chain for trypsin. The canavalin subunit and its cleavaged products react with the antiserum to the canavalin subunit and the canavalin subunit and 25kD polypeptide degraded during germination and growth of seedlings, but 24kD polypeptide remained until the 8th day sowing.
