One hundred patients who underwent uninephrectomy for kidney donation between 1989 and 1996 have been checked the changes of renal function before and after donor nephrectomy Follow up periods after uninephrectomy were postoperative 7days, 1year and 4years. Mean blood pressure (systolic/diastolic) before nephrectomy was 115.8±9.2/ 74.3±7.2 mmHg and that of the last reading was 114.9±12.7/ 75.0±9.8 mmHg. The current creatinine clearance of the donors was 78±4 ml/min. The 7days, 1year and 4years after nephrectomy percentage of predonation creatinine clearance were 73±3%, 77±2% and 79±3%, respectively. The 24-hr urine protein excretion in kidney donors was significantly higher after nephrectomy than before nephrectomy (52.1±11.2 mg/day VS. 178±25.6 mg/day). In conclusion, this long-term study of kidney donors shows no adverse effect on blood pressure and renal function after many years of compensatory hyperfiltration.
유카 Ag-aide가 페어리링 병이 발생한 잔디토양의 투수계수 및 한지형 잔디 생육에 미치는 영향

Yucca Ag-aide extracted from Yucca, Agavaceae, is one of the several surface active agents being marked as a soil conditioner for turfgrass. According to the previous research, Yucca can provide an energy source for soil microbes, improve physical properties, and nutrient efficiency in soil, and enhance water infiltration capacity of soil. Yucca was applied to the tee area with cool-season grass showing fairy ring symptom at the Asiana Country Club from June to July, 1999. Yucca was also applied to "Pencross" creeping bentgrass that was stressed by 15 and 30 times of glass stick once every two months(three time total) in 5cm diameter of PVC pipe in greenhouse and to experiment field, established with 35% Tall fescue+50% Kentucky bluegrass+15%Perennial ryegrass at the Kon-kuk University on June 8, 1999. Infiltration at the tee area showing fairy ring symptom was improved by treatment of 250 and 500 fold of Yucca Ag-aide. Yucca Ag-aide treatment also improved root length and dry weight of creeping bentgrass with the stress by glass stick. Coverage and turf quality of cool-season turfgrass in field trial were increased by Yucca Ag-aide. Clipping dry weight was also increased by the treatment.

ABSTRACTThe following five mixtures of cool-season grasses(TF: Tall Fescue, KB: Kentucky Bluegrass, PR: Perennial ryegrass, CF: Chewing Fescue) were compared for the turfgrass performance on sand-based rootzone during summer in Korea: Mixture I (70% TF + 20% PR + 10% KB), Mixture II (50% TF + 20% PR + 10% KB + 20% CF), Mixture III (30% TF +20% PR + 50% KB), Mixture IV (40% PR + 60% KB), and Mixture V (30% PR + 40% KB + 30% CF).Mixture I and III resulted in even growing and rapid establishment. The establishment rate of Mixture IV and V was slow because of poor establishment. of PR. Uniformity was the highest in Mixture I and III low in Mixture II and V because CF was heavily damaged by hot and humid condition. Since ball bound depends on shoot density, Mixture V with low shoot density bounds the ball highest.Mixture I, III and V had high shoot density on June 16 and shoot density of all the mixtures decreased during summer because PR and CF were more damaged than the other species by hot and humid condition. Color harmony of Mixture I and III showed good and these may be a reflection of 70% TF and 50% KB , respectively. Color harmony of Mixture II and V showed not so good and this may be due to the damage of CF and PR by hot and humid condition.In conclusion, Mixture I and III would be recommended high quality of soccer fields in Korea.
액체크로마토그래피/질량분석법을 이용한 랫트 혈장내의 Surfactin C의 정량법에 관한 연구

Surfactin isolated from Bacillus subtilis has a strong surface tension-lowering activity, together with antiviral, antitumor, fibrinolytic and hypocholesterolemic activities. LC/MS is a simple, rapid and effective technique for the determination of surfactin C in rat serum. The separation of surfactin was achieved on reverse phase column. The mobile phase consisted of 0.1% trifluoracetic acid in water (A) and acetonitrile (B). As a result of analysis of blank rat serum samples, matrix interference was not shown. The values of precision and accuracy were satisfied w the guideline. A newly developed LC/MS method for the determination of surfactin C was successfully applied in its pharmacokinetic analysis.

본 연구를 통하여 항공기 착륙장치의 거동(동특성 및 완충기 효율)을 해석하고 평가하는 Software를 개발하엿다. 이 프로그램을 개발하기 위해 착륙장치를 2개의 자유도를 가지는 동역학시스템으로 모델링하고 운동방정식을 유도하였다. 또한 완충기에 작용하는 내력(즉 공기력, orifice force, friction force)을 표현하는 관계식을 정립하였으며, 타이어의 힘을 표현하는 관계식을 유도하였다. 그리고 운동방정식에는 타이어의 Spin Up운동도 고려되었다. 선정된 항공기의 착륙장치의 Parameter의 값을 프로그램의 입력 Data로 사용했을 때 매우 신뢰할 만한 동특성의 결과를 얻었으며, 특히 Drop Test 결과와 본 연구에서 개발된 Software에서 얻어진 결과를 비교했을 때 매우 흡사한 결과를 얻었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 Software는 앞으로 국산화되는 착륙장치의 개발 및 설계에 매우 유용하게 사용될 것으로 판단된다. 또한 본 연구에서 사용된 입력 Data중 중요한 10개의 Parameter를 선정하여, 각 Parsmeter를 변화시키면서 착륙장치의 동특성 및 효율의 변화를 고찰해 보았다. 완충기 설계시 가장 중요한 Parameter들은 K-factor, Orifice 단면적 등과 같은 완충기의 변수로 사료되며, 타이어의 변수 T??이나 b는 중요한 변수가 아님을 확인하였다. 또한 항공기의 무게 W, Wheel/Tire의 무게, 완충기의 초기 공기압 P??, 항공역학계수 A도 착륙장치의 효율에는 크게 영향을 미치지 않고 있음을 고찰하였다. 그러나 공기실의 Politropic 지수 n, 항공기의 수직착륙속도 V는 착륙장치의 효융에 Non-Monotonic하게 영향을 미치는 것을 고찰하였다. The software which analysis and evaluate the dynamic characteristics of an landing gear has been developed in this study. The landing gear system has been modelled to be 2 DOF dynamic system to drive the equation of motion. The three internal forces, which are air pressure force, orifice force, and friction force, has been formulated and also the tire force has been formulated and also the tire force has been derived. When the typical values of the design parameters is applied to the developed software, the reliable results of the dynamic characteristics are obtained. Furthermore there is a good agreement between the simulation results and experimental drop test extracted from relevant literatures. It can be concluded that the developed software will be useful for the design and development of a landing gear system inside Korea.
초기 진동 특성치가 측정되지 않은 캔틸레버 보의 손상 추정 방법에 관한 연구

Most civil engineering structures are apt to experience structural damages over their service lives caused by adverse loadings. Accumulation of structural damages over a long period time might cause catastrophic structural failure. Therefore, maintenance and retrofitting of existing structures is essential for assuring the safety of the existing structures. The damage detection algorithm must be exact and reliable. There have recently been attempts to evaluate the structural damage utilizing the experimentally measured response data. But the baseline modal responses were required to evaluate the structural damage. The purpose of this paper is to present the damage detection algorithm for structures without baseline modal responses. Natural frequencies of a structure with a transverse surface crack extending uniformly along the width is measured experimentally. Using only the natural frequencies of a damaged structure, it has been found that the location and degree of damage are reasonably determined. The damage detection algorithm was applied to identify a crack in a cantilever beam.
