Developing Sustainable Clothing Design Using Chinese Auspicious Patterns

Chinese auspicious patterns(吉祥图案) have been widely applied to Chinese garments. In order to develop sustainable and innovative clothing design using Chinese auspicious patterns, this paper explored how the patterns were applied to the traditional costumes, and figured out how the concept of cherishing things embodied through the auspicious forms. On this basis, we developed four designs conveying sustainablity. The conclusions are as follows: firstly, by exploring the expression forms and symbolic meanings of auspicious patterns of Chinese traditional clothing. In this paper, we categorized them into three main categories, covering auspicious patterns in Chinese character form, auspicious patterns in pictographic form and comprehensive patterns. Secondly, this paper derived a concept of cherishing things(惜物) from Chinese culture, and developed a three-dimensional model showing how the concept can be applied: they are splicing of the waste fabrics, weaving and embroidering with waste or abandoned materials, and dyeing and painting with natural dyes. In addition, in the design practice, the upcycling of traditional Chinese auspicious patterns were completed by using three-dimensional models to realize the sustainable design of auspicious patterns. Finally, this paper developed a new fashion design that demonstrates the possibilities of diverse clothing design.

In the presence of uncertainties, the position tracking performance of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) will be affected to varying degrees. The time delay estimation (TDE) method can estimate and eliminate the influence of uncertain factors. In order to automatically find the input gain under the optimal TDE error, an adaptive time delay estimation (ATDE) method is proposed by introducing adaptive control. Combined with the nonsingular terminal sliding mode control method, the convergence speed and robust performance of the system are further improved. In addition, through rigorous mathematical analysis, the stability of state variables is proved. Finally, some experimental results are given to prove the effective performance of the control method.

This paper proposes a novel robust super-twisting nonsingular fast terminal sliding mode control method for high precision position tracking of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM). Based on the position tracking error of PMLSM, a nonsingular fast terminal sliding mode variable is constructed to avoid the singularity and achieve the convergence of the position error in a finite time. To improve the convergence speed of the super-twisting algorithm and solve the gain overestimation problem of the existing algorithm, a dual-layer nested adaptive adjustment law based on the super-twisting scheme is proposed, which does not need the information of the unknown uncertainties. While ensuring that the conditions of the existence of the sliding mode hold, the control gain is made as small as possible to obtain a continuous switching control law to suppress the effect of the chattering phenomenon. The Lyapunov stability proves the robustness and convergence of the system. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness and feasibility of the designed position tracking control scheme.

In order to improve the adsorption capacity of chitosan to organic dyes, the amino rich functionalized chitosanelectrospun nanofibers membrane was prepared. In the process of high efficiency synthesis, PGMA and PEI were grafted onthe surface of CS NFMs in turn. By means of XRD, ATR-FTIR and XPS, the successful introduction of amino group into CSwas confirmed. The selective adsorption capacity of CS-PGMA-PEI NFMs for anionic dyes was studied. The adsorptionkinetics analysis shows that the adsorption process of CS-PGMA-PEI NFMs is mainly pseudo second-order model. Itsadsorption isotherms can be described by the Langmuir model and it conforms to monolayer adsorption. The maximumadsorption capacity of Congo red calculated by Langmuir model is 657.47 mg/g. CS-PGMA-PEI NFMs has selectiveadsorption capacity for Congo red/methylene blue mixture. CS-PGMA-PEI NFMs also showed good circulation stability. This study provides a method for the synthesis of water purification membrane.
Expression and Significance of MicroRNA155 in Serum of Patients with Cerebral Small Vessel Disease

Objective : This study aimed to investigate the changes and significance of microRNA155 levels in serum of patients with cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Methods : Thirty patients with CSVD who met the inclusion criteria were selected and divided into eight patients with lacunar infarction (LI) group and 22 patients with multiple lacunar infarction (MLI) combined with white matter lesions (WML) group according to the results of head magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Thirty samples from healthy volunteers without abnormalities after head MRI examination were selected as the control group. The levels of serum microRNA155 in each group were determined by real-time polymerase chain reaction, and the correlation between microRNA155 in the serum of patients with CSVD and the increase of imaging lesions was analyzed by Spearman correlation analysis. Results : Compared with the control group, the serum microRNA155 level in the LI group, MLI combined with WML group increased, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05); serum microRNA155 level was positively correlated with the increase of imaging lesions (p<0.05). Conclusion : The change of serum microRNA155 level in patients with CSVD may be one of its self-protection mechanisms, and the intensity of this self-protection mechanism is positively correlated with the number of CSVD lesions.

<P>Using a combination of systematic experiments and Monte Carlo simulations, this report demonstrates that the distribution of neutral solvent has a strong impact on the quality and kinetics of the self-assembly of block copolymers in thin films. Both methyl ethyl ketone (MEK, a good solvent) and acetone (a relatively poor solvent) were used for the solvent vapor annealing (SVA) of thin films of poly(2-vinylpyridine)-<I>block</I>-polystyrene-<I>block</I>-poly(2-vinylpyridine) (VSV) triblock copolymer. Acetone, the poorer solvent, accumulated at the interface of the VSV domains, while MEK was distributed more uniformly throughout the VSV. As a result, acetone screened the interactions between the blocks of the copolymer more than MEK. Because MEK afforded less screening of the different blocks, solvent annealing with MEK led to self-assembly of lower molecular weight VSV triblock copolymers than was possible with acetone. Solvent annealing with MEK also led to slower self-assembly kinetics and smaller correlation lengths in the assembled pattern compared to solvent annealing with acetone. Finally, long-range ordered structures of low molecular weight VSV triblock copolymer on a chemical pattern via directed self-assembly was demonstrated with 6× density multiplication by annealing in MEK.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
Reliability Analysis of Relay Protection Based on the Fuzzy-Markov Model

Relay protection and safety device are regarded as the sentry of safe and reliable operation of the power grid. It plays a very important role in the power grid, and can determine whether the normal operation of the power system. This article considers the influence of the fuzzy uncertainty of relay protection failure rate to power system on the basis of Markov model, and researches the dynamic fault tree analysis method in the case of fuzzy failure parameter. A dynamic fault model has been built. The triangular fuzzy numbers are used to express the failure rate of the components and system, after which the fuzzy Markov model has been established based on the dynamic fault tree model obtained before. The fuzzy reliability curve and fuzzy failure probability on given degree of membership could be obtained. Finally, the fuzzy Markov model based dynamic fault tree analysis method is used for reliability modeling and analysis of relay protection. The results show that this method can conduct reliability modeling and quantitative assessment effectively for systems which have dynamic failure characteristics and uncertainty of failure rate.
Energy-saving Strategy Based on an Immunization Algorithm for Network Traffic

The rapid development of both communication traffic and increasing optical network sizes has increased energy consumption. Traditional algorithms and strategies don`t apply to controlling the expanded network. Immunization algorithms originated from the complex system theory are feasible for large-scale systems based on a scale-free network model. This paper proposes the immunization strategy for complex systems which includes random and targeted immunizations to solve energy consumption issues and uses traffic to judge the energy savings from the node immunization. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. Furthermore, this paper provides a possibility for saving energy with optical transmission networks.

현재 사용하고 있는 IPv4 주소 체계는 IP주소가 부족함에도 불구하고 서브넷팅 설계 시에 고정길이의 서브넷 마스크 사용으로 IP주소를 많이 낭비하고 있다. 이를 보완하는 한 방안으로 VLSM을 사용한다. 그러나 이 방법은 가변길이 서브넷 마스크 및 주소의 관리가 쉽지 않다. 본 연구는 VLSM기반에서 쉽고 효율적인 서브넷팅 IP주소 계산법 및 관리기법을 제안한다. 그리고, 제안하는 관리기법에 의해 웹 기반으로 서브넷 할당 및 관리 시스템을 실험적으로 설계하고 구현한다. One of the problems of the currently used IPv4 addressing-structure is the fact that there is a shortage of IP addresses and many addresses are being wasted, especially on sub-netting design. The variable subnet masking is a resolution to reduce IP address wasting. We propose an effective subnet W address calculation and management method on VLSM. Also, with the proposed subnet IP address management method, a web based subnet allocation and management system is introduced.
