개방적 놀이재료 제공에 따른 만 5세 유아 놀이행동의 차이 분석

본 연구는 개방적인 재료(Loose Parts)를 유아교육기관 실외놀이터에 반복적으로 제공하였을 때 만 5세 유아의 놀이행동의 변화를 살펴본 후, 성별 및 실외놀이터 질적 수준과 개방적인 재료 제공에 따른 유아의 놀이행동에 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 서울과 경인지역에 위치한 8개의 유아교육기관에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 96명이었다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계, t 검증 및 반복측정분산분석을 통해 분석하였다. 첫째, 유아교육기관 실외놀이터에서 개방적인 재료 제공에 따라 만 5세 유아의 혼자놀이를 제외한 인지적, 사회적, 비놀이행동에 변화가 있었다. 둘째, 유아교육기관 실외놀이터에서 개방적인 재료 제공 회차별 만 5세 유아의 놀이행동은 성별에 따라 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 유아교육기관 실외놀이터에서 개방적인 재료 제공 회차별 만 5세 유아의 놀이행동은 실외놀이터 질적 수준에 따라 차이가 있었다. 결론적으로 개방적인 재료의 제공은 유아교육기관 실외놀이터에서 유아의 놀이행동의 변화를 야기하며 비놀이행동의 감소를 유발한다. 따라서 유아교육기관에서 실외놀이터의 질적 수준 향상을 도모하고 유아의 다양한 놀이행동을 유발하기 위해서 개방적인 재료를 제공이 필요함을 시사한다. This study aimed to investigate the changes in play behavior of young children when the environment of the playground provided a playpod including loose parts to an outdoor playground of an early childhood education institution. This study also investigated play behaviors of young children with the provision of playpod depending on the quality level of outdoor playgrounds in each of the institutions and the gender of children. The participants were 96 five-year-old children from 8 childhood institutions located in Seoul and Gyeong-in district. The results of this study are summarized as follows; First, children’s play behaviors at the outdoor playgrounds of the early childhood education institutions changed with the provision of playpod. Compared to the play behavior before the provision of playpod, the frequency of cooperative, constructive, and dramatic play increased significantly after the provision of playpod. Second, children’s play behaviors after the provision of playpod at outdoor playgrounds of the institutions exhibited differences according to their gender. Third, children’s play behaviors after the provision of playpod at outdoor playgrounds of the institutions were different according to the quality level of outdoor playgrounds. In conclusion, the playpod including Loose parts caused changes in children’s play behaviors at outdoor playgrounds of early childhood education institutions and contributed toword a decrease in the non-play behaviors.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of using visual stimulation and gesture, namely embodiedbased learning, on learning achievement and learner``s curriculum interest in the EFL classroom. To investigate the effectiveness of the proposed purpose, thirty two third-grade elementary school students participated and were assigned into four English learning class conditions (i.e., using moving images and gestures condition, using only moving images condition, using still pictures and gesture condition, and control condition). The research questions for this study are addressed below: (1) Is there any significant difference in learning performance among the four condition groups? (2) Is there any significant difference in academic interest of students among the four condition groups? The Embodiment-based English learning system for this study was designed by using Microsofts Kinect sensing devices. The results of this study revealed that students of imitating gesture group memorized and retained better words and sentence structure than those of the other groups. As for learner``s curriculum interest measurement, imitating gesture group showed a highly positive response to attention, relevance, and satisfaction for curriculum and using motion picture influenced satisfaction as well. This finding can be attributed to the embodied cognition, which proposes that the body and the mind are inseparable in the constitution of cognition and thus students using visual simulation and imitating related gesture regard the embodiment-based learning approach more satisfactory and acceptable than the conventional ones.
Manipulation of Magnetic Beads by Magnetic Fields of Narrow Metallic Wires for Use in Biosensors

<P>In this paper, we investigated a means to manipulate small magnetic beads using the magnetic fields of current-carrying wires. Narrow metallic wires were fabricated with optical lithography and vacuum deposition methods. As we applied 20-40 mA of current, the magnetic beads could be collected on the wire. Depending on the magnitude of the currents, the velocity of the beads was 2-20 mum/s. In addition to the motion of the beads by the interaction with the fields, we also observed drift of the beads caused by the local heating of the wire and the resulting temperature gradient. We also demonstrated transfer of beads between wires by switching the current between the wires. We consider that this simple device can be used to transfer the beads to the locations of the sensors and that it can increase the reaction probability between beads and magnetic sensors.</P>

Purpose: This study examined the effects of sagittal spinopelvic alignment on the clinical parameters, motor symptoms, and respiratory function in patients with mild to moderate Parkinson’s disease (PD). Methods: This study was a prospective assessment of treated patients (n=28, Hoehn and Yahr (H&Y) stage 2-3) in a PD center. Twenty-eight subjects (68.5±5.7 yrs) participated in this study. The clinical and demographic parameters, including age, sex, symptoms duration, treatment duration, and H&Y stage, were collected. Kinematic analysis was conducted in the upright standing posture with a motion capture system. A pulmonary function test (PFT) was performed in the sitting position using a spirometer. The motor symptoms were assessed on part III of the movement disorder society sponsored version of the unified Parkinson’s disease rating scale (MDS-UPDRS). SPSS 18.0 was used to analyze the collected data. Results: The exceeding 12 degrees group of the lower trunk showed significantly higher on the clinical parameters than the below 12 degrees group. In addition, the exceeding 12 degrees group of the lower trunk showed a significantly lower forced expiratory volume at one second (FEV1) / forced vital capacity (FVC) (%) and 25-75% forced mid-expiratory flow (FEF) (L/s) than in the below group. On the other hand, there was no difference in the upper trunk and the cervical pelvis between the groups. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the sagittal balance in the lower trunk is related to the clinical parameters and respiratory function, but not the motor symptoms in patients with mild to moderate PD.
Hallyu Images, Subversive Pleasures and Female Fandom in Cyberspace

이 논문은 두 여성작가 임선희와 김실비를 중심으로 어떻게 디지털 문화가 한류라는 국제적으로 알려진 한국의 대중문화와, 사이버 커뮤니티, 현대 미디어 아트간의 관계를 변화시켜 왔는지를 밝히고자 한다. 인터넷에 유통되는 팬들이 만든 카메라 이미지, 멜로드라마의 장면들로 이뤄진 임선희와 김실비의 직업은 사이버 커뮤니티에 관한 두 작가의 공통된 태도를 보여주는데 이것은 여성 팬들이 여성 주인공의 대안적인 드라마 속 리얼리티나 ‘꽃미남’으로 알려진 남성 아이돌에 대한 열정을 드러내는 방식으로 표출된다. 따라서 본 연구는 멜로드라마 이론, 관음증에 관한 젠더 간의 역동적인 관계에 관한 이론을 통하여 임선희의 〈내 방의 풍경〉(2011)과 김실비의 〈소년 애인〉(2009)이 반영하고 있는 사이버공간상 여성 관객들의 참여적이고 비판적인 팬 문화도 함께 다루고자 한다. The paper examines the two female media artists Sunhee Lim and Sylbee Kim with an aim of exploring how the digital environment has shifted the relationship among South Korean popular culture, known as Hallyu , online community, and contemporary media arts. Lim’s and Kim’s artistic production, comprise of fan cams, clips of melodramas circulated on the Internet, reveal their shared approach toward online community, in which female fans can explore their passion toward the alternative fictional reality of female protagonist as well as toward male idols, also known as “Kkotminam.” Thus, using theories on melodrama, gender dynamics in voyeurism, this essay further purports to explain participatory and even critical nature of (mostly female) fan culture in cyberspace, as best reflected and investigated in Lim’s Landscape in My Room (2011) and Kim’s Lover Boys (2009).
Optimal Threshold of Intermittent Maneuver for Target Observability Improvement

This study considers intermittent maneuver based on line-of-sight rate bounding to improve target observability for passive homing guidance. Target observability is critical for the performance of the target tracking filter and indirectly affects the guidance accuracy. This paper derives an observability measure associated with the Fisher information matrix for the adaptive intermittent maneuver strategy proposed in the previous studies. Then, the key parameters of the adaptive intermittent strategy are identified and optimized to maximize the observability measure. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the tracking filter performance is significantly improved. It is also confirmed that the guidance accuracy of proportional navigation is also improved by employing the adaptive intermittent maneuver strategy.
