Activation tagging that uses T-DNA vectors containingmultimerized transcriptional enhancers from the cauliflowermosaic virus (CaMV) 35S gene is a powerful tool todetermine gene function in plants. This approach has beensuccessfully applied in screening various types of mutationsand cloning the corresponding genes. We generated an activationtagged hairy root pool of ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) in an attempt to isolate genes involved in the biosyntheticpathway of ginsenoside (triterpene saponin), whichis known as the major active ingredient of the root. Quantitativeand qualitative variation of ginsenoside in activationtagged hairy root lines were profiled using LC/MS. Metabolicprofiling data enabled selection of a specific hairy root linewhich accumulated ginsenoside at a higher level than otherlines. The relative expression level of several genes of triterpenebiosynthetic pathway in the selected hairy root linewas determined by real time RT-PCR. Overall results suggestthat the activation tagged ginseng hairy root system describedin this study would be useful in isolating genes involved in acomplex metabolic pathway from genetically intractableplant species by metabolic profiling.

We report on the seasonal changes of soluble sugar accumulation and several enzyme activities related to sugar metabolism, in two Asian pear cultivars (Pyrus pyrifolia) cultivars ‘Niitaka’ and ‘Whangkeumbae’. Soluble sugar content increased as the fruit developed and its total contents in matured fruits were 104.6 and 95.1 ㎎ㆍg?¹ fresh weight for ‘Niitaka’ and ‘Whangkeumbae’, respectively. However, the fructose-glucose-sucrose-sorbitol ratio was not significantly changed. Sorbitol-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity was maintained at high level in leaves and low in fruits throughout the fruit development, although the enzyme activity highly fluctuated in young and mature fruits. NAD-dependent sorbitol dehydrogenase activity increased sigmoidally in both leaves and fruits during fruit development, and correlated with accumulation of total sugar in fruits. Sucrose synthase and sucrose phosphate synthase (SPS) activities remained low in leaves, but higher with two peak fluctuations in fruits. The change of soluble sugar contents positively correlated with SPS activity, based on the seasonal fluctuation of SPS activity and soluble sugar accumulation.

Based on large signal model of Si BJT, two stage power amplifier operating in 850㎒ cellular phone has been designed and fabricated on the microstrip substrate with Photolithography technique. Simulation shows that power added efficiency and output power as 37.4% and 30.5㏈m under the input power of 7㏈m, while the measurement shows these parameters as 38.2% and 27.8㏈m respectively.

Intestinal malrotation is a rare disorder typically found in childhood. In adults it is an uncommon disease, and usually presents as bowel obstruction. Occasionally the clinical picture is confusing and the diagnosis of mahotation is not discovered until operation. Intestinal malrotation represents an arrest in the normal counterclockwise rotation of the cecum from the left lower quadrant to the right upper quadrant. The example is nondescent of the cecum, in which this structure remains in the subhepatic position. These are the diagnostic problems of differentiating between acute appendicitis and acute cholecystitis and the difficulty of appendectomy through a lower abdominal incision. In some patients, the cecum that cross the duodenum (Ladd's bands) is often fixed in an abnormal position by dense adhesion. In addition, the colon and the small intestine have a common mesentery with a lack of fixation to the lateral and posterior regions of the abdominal cavity. The usual mechanism of obstruction is adhesive compression of the duodenum and volvulus of the small intestine. Herein we experienced the case with intestinal malrotation associated with Ladd's bands with duodenal compression, presenting with acute abdominal pain and vomiting.

국내산업단지 내 고압 매설배관은 장기사용배관이 많고 독성·가연성·불활성 등 고압가스는 물론 다양한 유해화학물질이 한도로 내에 복잡하게 매설되어있어 다양한 타공사 등 사고 발생 시 인접하여 매설된 다른 배관에 손상을 미칠 수 있어 높은 수준의 안전관리가 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 고압가스매설배관과 도시가스매설배관 안전관리실태를 심층비교분석을 통하여 고압가스 매설배관의 효율적인 안전관리방식 도출에 활용하고자한다. pressure buried pipes in domestic industrial estate have many long-term use pipes, Toxic, flammable, Inflammable, etc. as well as a variety of toxic chemicals are embedded in a complex be buried, A high level of safety management is required as it can damage other pipes installed nearby in the event of accidents such as various external interference. Therefore, in this study, the safety management practices of high-pressure gas distribution and urban gas distribution are utilized to derive efficient safety management methods for high-pressure gas installation piping through in-depth comparative analysis.
