        A Review of Global Value Chain Research in Humanities and Social Sciences based on Knowledge Mapping

        21세기 이후 국가 간 연결고리는 점점 더 밀접해지면서 이전에는 볼 수 없었던 국가간 무역 네트워크는 세계 곳곳으로 확대되었다. 글로벌가치사슬이 통신 및 물류 기술의 발전으로 확대됨에 따라 전통적인 완제품 무역은 점차 가공 무역으로 대체되고, 각 국가가 참여하는 생산네트워크는 국제무역의 핵심이 되었다. Poter(1985)가 가치사슬의 개념을 처음 제안한 이후 글로벌가치사슬 이론은 거의 40년 동안 발전을 거듭해와 각종 문헌을 통해 산업 클러스터, 부가가치 무역, 글로벌가치사슬 분업, 글로벌가치사슬 지배구조 등에 대한 수많은 연구를 수행하였다. 그러나 글로벌가치사슬에 대한 다양한 연구에도 불구하고, 글로벌가치사슬에 대한 객관화된 자료분석을 기초로 최근까지의 포괄적인 연구동향과 미래 방향성에 관한 체계적인 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 사회네트워크 분석과 과학적 프런티어 이론에 기반한 CiteSpace 5.8.R3 시 각화 소프트웨어를 활용하여 글로벌가치사슬에 관한 총 3,441편의 논문들을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 분석자료를 통해 글로벌가치사슬이론의 핵심 연구 동향과 연구 이슈를 정리한 결과, 글로벌가치사슬의 해외 연구는 부가가치획득, 업그레이드, 가치사슬의 역할 배분 및 지배구조에 집중되어 있었으며, 중국내 연구자들은 생산성과해외직접투자, 산업클러스터링 효과에 대한 연구에 한층 집중하는 경향을 보였다. Since the 21st century, countries have become more and more closely connected, and the once unattainable transoceanic and transcontinental trade has now become commonplace, and trade networks have invisibly penetrated all corners of the world. With the gradual improvement of communication and logistics technology, the traditional trade of finished products is gradually replaced by processing trade, and the production chain of trade goods in which each country participates constitutes the main body of the current international trade, and the production chain is known as the global value chain. Since Poter(1985) first proposed the concept of value chains, the theory of global value chains has been developed for nearly 40 years. From the existing literature, scholars at home and abroad have conducted a large number of studies on industrial clusters, value-added trade, global value chain division of labor, global value chain governance, etc. However, comprehensive literature review and classification studies are relatively lacking, and systematic studied on the current research hot spots and frontier trends of global value chains are still lacking. Based on the above problems, this paper quantitatively analyzed a total of 3,441 papers on global value chains by using CiteSpace 5.8.R3 visualization software based on social network analysis and scientific frontier theory. It provided a theoretical reference for promoting the research work and future development in the field of humanities and social sciences of global value chains.

        Study on the Waterproofing Performance of FGD Gypsum Building Products from Inorganic-Organic Composite Additives

        In this article, poly methyl triethoxy silane was compounded with an inorganic waterproof admixture at a certain ratio to improve the performance of gypsum products; a new type of high-efficiency compound water-proofing additive was also investigated. Furthermore, the waterproof mechanism and the various properties on the hardened gypsum plaster were investigated in detail by XRD and SEM. The results show that the intenerate coefficient of gypsum plaster increased to more than 0.9; the water absorbing rate decreased to less than 10 %. Both the bending strength and the compressive strength of gypsum plaster increased by various degrees. The intenerate coefficient reached a maximum value of 0.73 and the strength of the samples showed almost no change when 5% cement alone was added. In this new type of the high-efficiency compound with waterproof additive, the optimal technological parameters for formulas were obtained to be: 5% cement, 18 % mineral powder, and 0.8% poly methyl triethoxy silane, to compound gypsum plaster. Meanwhile, the production of high performance gypsum as a building material has become possible.

        Study on the Retarding Mechanism and Strength Loss of Gypsum from Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein Retarder

        In this article, the influence of a hydrolyzed wheat protein retarder on the hydration process, ion concentration in liquid phase, degree of supersaturation, and crystal morphology of plaster was investigated. Furthermore, the retarding mechanism and the strength loss of gypsum were also studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results indicate that the use of the hydrolyzed wheat protein retarder for plaster achieved a better retarding effect and lower strength loss. The combination of gypsum plaster with the retarder not only decreased the plaster's early hydration rate and prolonged its setting time efficiently, but also militated against the crystal morphology of dihydrate gypsum. For example, the crystal dimensions changed little, but the proportion of needle-shaped crystals decreased. Combination with calcium ions on the surface of dihydrate gypsum crystal nuclei may form a chemisorbed layer, reduce the surface energy of the crystal nuclei, and inhibit the growth of the crystal nuclei of dihydrate gypsum. Consequently, the hydration process of building gypsum becomes greatly extended and is slowed down significantly.

        3D Architectures of LaVO<sub>4</sub>:Eu<sup>3+</sup> Microcrystals via an EG-assisted Hydrothermal Method: Phase Selective Synthesis, Growth Mechanism and Luminescent Properties

        In this article, pure $m-LaVO_4:Eu^{3+}$ and $t-LaVO_4:Eu^{3+}$ nanocrystals were prepared by an EG-assisted hydrothermal method with regular shapes. A series of controlled experiments showed that the pH value of a mixed solution, the volume ratio of $EG/H_2O$ and the dosage of the doped $Eu^{3+}$ all had an important effect on the sizes and shapes of the final products. Furthermore, the constitutional unit of the products changed from 0D to 2D with an increase in the EG dosage. The PL results showed that $t-LaVO_4$ doped with $Eu^{3+}$ ions had better luminescence properties than $m-LaVO_4$ due to its special structure. All of these results not only expand our understanding of the luminescence properties of lanthanide orthovanadates, but they also elucidate the principles of the crystal growth.

        It is Time to Have Rest: How do Break Types Affect Muscular Activity and Perceived Discomfort During Prolonged Sitting Work

        Background: Prolonged sitting at work can lead to adverse health outcomes. The health risk of office workers is an increasing concern for the society and industry, with prolonged sitting work becoming more prevalent. Objective: This study aimed to explore the variation in muscle activities during prolonged sitting work and found out when and how to take a break to mitigate the risk of muscle symptoms. Methods: A preliminary survey was conducted to find out the prevalence of muscle discomfort in sedentary work. Firstly, a 2-h sedentary computer work was designed based on the preliminary study to investigate the variation in muscle activities. Twenty-four participants took part in the electromyography (EMG) measurement study. The EMG variations in the trapezius muscle and latissimus dorsi were investigated. Then the intervention time was determined based on the EMG measurement study. Secondly, 48 participants were divided into six groups to compare the effectiveness of every break type (passive break, active break of changing their posture, and stand and stretch their body with 5 or 10 mins). Finally, data consisting of EMG amplitudes and spectra and subjective assessment of discomfort were analyzed. Results: In the EMG experiment, results from the joint analysis of the spectral and amplitude method showed muscle fatigue after about 40 mins of sedentary work. In the intervention experiment, the results showed that standing and stretching for 5 mins was the most effective break type, and this type of break could keep the muscles' state at a recovery level for about 30-45 mins. Conclusions: This study offers the possibility of being applied to office workers and provides preliminary data support and theoretical exploration for a follow-up early muscle fatigue detection system.

        Performance evaluation of binary blends of Portland cement and fly ash with complex admixture for durable concrete structures

        This paper presents the results of a study on binary blends of Portland cement and fly ash with complex admixture used for the concrete structures to meet specific performance objectives in east coastal area of China. The concretes were evaluated for workability, strength, water permeability, drying shrinkage, sulfate resistance and electrical resistance. Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy (ESEM) was used to examine the microstructure of concrete made by complex admixture compared with control batches without complex admixture. The combined efforts of fly ash and complex admixture led to an improvement in the workability, strength and durability.

      • Detection, identification and quantification of common microplastics in food and water by a multi-technique based analytical method

        Microplastics (MPs) are emerging contaminant to the environment and our food chains. In this study, we present a multi-technique based analytical method through the combination of microscope-FTIR (μ-FTIR) with Pyrolysis-GC/MS (Py-GC/MS) to overcome the difficulties with handling smaller particles, and obtain the 3D information on plastic types, particle size, particle numbers and quantity by mass consecutively. Optimized sample extraction and separation method with high recovery of MPs was developed for polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), poly vinyl chloride (PVC), polyamide (PA) and poly (methyl methacrylate) in table salts. The sample preparation process and analysis method have been validated with polymer standards. Each technique is complementary to the other, resulting in higher accuracy in the qualification and quantification of MPs in samples. A survey of MPs in table salts was conducted with optimized analytical method, revealing that MPs were detected in all commercially available table salts. Total number of MPs particles varied from 20 to 125 particles/kg and total mass contents of seven types of plastics range from 30 to 530 μg/kg in table salts. This optimized analytical method has also been validated through the laboratory’s participation in an interlaboratory comparison organized by the European Commission Joint Research Centre on Microplastics in Water in 2020 where good performance was achieved.

        Neferine increase in vitro anticancer effect of dehydroepiandrosterone on MCF-7 human breast cancer cells

        This study was conducted to investigate the in vitro anticancer reinforcing effects of neferine (Nef) on dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and the mechanism was also determined during the investigation. By the growth effects of Nef and DHEA on MCF-7 human breast cancer cells, 8 mg/mL Nef was a non-virulent concentration in MCF-7 cells, and this concentration was used for further experiment. In 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay, 30 mg/mL DHEA showed 49.4 % growth inhibitory effect in MCF-7 cells, whereas Nef (8 mg/mL) + DHEA (30 mg/mL) treatment had the higher effect at 67.8 %. The flow cytometry analysis results showed that 15 and 30 mg/mL DHEA-treated MCF-7 cells had 12.2 and 21.6 % apoptotic cells, respectively, Nef + DHEA could raise the apoptotic cells to 36.7 %. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction assay shows remarkable results according to which DHEA could significantly increase caspase-3, caspase-8, caspase-9, Bax, p53, p21, E2F1, Fas, FasL mRNA expressions and decrease Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, HIAP-1, HIAP-2, survivin expressions as compared to the untreated control cancer cells. Moreover, these effects depend on the concentration of DHEA, and Nef which could further strengthen these effects. From these results, low concentration of Nef could not influence the growth of MCF-7 cells, but using its sensitization effect, Nef raised the in vitro effects of DHEA. Nef could be got easily. With these results we can accomplish that Nef + DHEA might be used as the new anticancer materials combination.
