A 44-year-old woman underwent sleeve gastrectomy, which was complicated by a leak. She was treated with two sessions ofendoscopic internal drainage using plastic double-pigtail stents. Her clinical evolution was favorable, but four months after the initialstent placement, she became symptomatic, and a gastrobronchial fistula with the proximal end of the stents invading the diaphragmwas diagnosed. She was treated with antibiotics, plastic stents were removed, and a partially covered metallic esophageal stent wasplaced. Eleven weeks later, the esophageal stent was removed with no evidence of fistula. Inappropriate stent size, position, stentingduration, and persistence of low-grade inflammation could explain the patient’s symptoms and provide a mechanism for gradualmuscle rupture and fistula formation. Although endoscopic internal drainage is usually safe and effective for the management ofpost-laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy leaks, close clinical and radiological follow-up is mandatory.

Portobiliary fistulas are rare but may lead to life-threatening complications. Biliary plastic stent-induced portobiliary fistulas during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography have been described. Herein, we present a case of portal cavernography and recurrent hemobilia after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in which a portobiliary fistula was detected in a patient with portal biliopathy. This likely indicates a change in clinical presentation (from bilhemia to hemobilia) after biliary drainage that was successfully treated by placement of a fully covered, self-expandable metallic stent.
Evaluation of dietary sources of protein on growth performance in pigs

<P>A 6-week trial was conducted to investigate the effects of animal skin protein sources from swine and cattle on growth performance, body condition and blood characteristics in growing pigs. A total of 96 pigs (23.50 ± 0.61 kg) were randomly allotted into four dietary treatment groups as follows: (1) basal diet (BD); (2) basal diet with 1.5% hydrolysed render meal (HRM); (3) basal diet with 1.5% swine skin meal (SSM); (4) basal diet with 1.5% cattle hide meal (CHM). There were six replicate pens per treatment with four pigs per pen. The average daily gain (ADG) was improved in response to SSM treatment compared with other treatments (P < 0.05). Pigs fed with HRM, SSM and CHM diets showed increases in average daily feed intake (ADFI) and decreased gain-to-feed (G : F) ratios compared with pigs fed with BD (P < 0.05). There were no differences in dry matter (DM), nitrogen (N), and energy (E) digestibility among treatments. The backfat thickness and lean percentage of pigs was unaffected by the treatments. Similarly, there was no difference in blood characteristics among treatments. In conclusion, the supplementation of SSM in growing pig diets improved the growth rate and Feed Intake (FI), but its usage in swine diets is limited by the poor protein quality. </P>

남녀평등은 단순히 목적 그 자체만을 의미하는 것이 아니다. 그것은 좋은 자치 제도와 지속 가능한 개발을 촉진하는 것, 그리고 기아와 같은 국제적인 문제를 해결하기 위한 전제이다. 네팔은 2015년 까지 교육에서 남녀평등을 이루기 위해 재원과 노력을 쏟아 부을 것이다. 한국의 남녀평등은 불평등한 조건에서 시작되었으나 지속적인 노력으로 인하여 많은 개선과 변화를 이루었다. 이 연구의 목적은 교육 부문에서의 환경을 탐색하는 것이다. 따라서 한국에서 성에 대한 기본적인 특성을 살펴보았고, 배경으로 이러한 문제의 성격과 이를 해결하기 위한 개입의 방식에 대해서 문헌조사를 하였고, 이를 바탕으로 얻은 결과에 근거하 네팔의 정책 개혁에 긍정적인 실천방안을 제시할 예정이다. Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance. The Government of" Nepal has concentrated its resources and efforts to achieve gender equality in education by 2015. It has formulated policies, plans and programs for the promotion of girls" education. Korea has changed its gender power relation from the underdeveloped characteristics to developed character. The objective of this study is conducted to explore the situation in the education sector. Therefore, I have explored the basic gender characteristics of Korean. In the background I have explored the formulation of the issues in the major policy documents and the leading interventions to achieve the situation. On the basis of the findings I do recommend the positive practices in Nepal?s policy reform process.

Triangular Ag nanoplates are intrinsically unstable, and this characteristic has been a challenging platform in the development of a novel sensing. In the current work, instead of using halide ions as etchants, we used sodium 4-vinylbenzenesulfonate (Na-VBS) as a new powerful etchant of triangular Ag nanoplates. When aged with Na-VBS at room temperature, Na-VBS etched Ag nanoplates nearly as powerfully as halides did, and these nanoplates rapidly transformed into oblate nano spheroids. Interestingly, passivation of the Ag nanoplate surface with melamine was shown to protect the nanoplates from Na-VBS-induced etching. The rate of change of the color and spectral features of the Ag nanoplate solution exposed to Na-VBS was found to be strongly correlated with the concentration of melamine in the solution. This association allowed us to apply this system to the development of a novel platform for sensing melamine.

<B>Abstract</B><P> We assessed the possibly synergistic effects of dietary fiber (DF) and benzoic acid (BA) in growingfinishing pigs. In total, 96 growing pigs ([Landrace × Yorkshire] × Duroc) with an average initial body weight (BW) of 22.82 (±0.24) kg were selected and provided the dietary supplements based on their BW in a 2 × 2 factorial experiment, with the respective factors being fiber (low vs. high; 140 g/kg, 160 g/kg NSP, respectively) and BA (0, 5 g/kg benzoic acid) in six replicate pens consisting of four pigs per pen. Sugar beet pulp was used as a DF source, at 50 g/kg of the diet. All diets were formulated to contain 14.44 ME MJ/kg and 190 g/kg CP. This experiment was conducted to evaluate the growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and reduction of harmful gases and serum metabolites. There was no significant difference in feed intake and weight gains during treatments. Fiber levels and benzoic acid addition did not affect the dry matter, nitrogen and gross energy digestibility. Also, no interaction was found between fiber level and benzoic acid treatment. There was no difference in NH3, but RSH and H2S gases emissions show significant reduction with fiber and benzoic acid treatment. Serum metabolites, including lipoprotein and cholesterol, were also apparently unaffected by these treatments. Thus, the addition of 50 g sugar beet pulp per kg of growing feed as a DF source and the addition of BA had no significant impact on the growth performance of pigs during the growth period.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The earthquake (EQ) time coupling processes between equator-low-mid latitude ionosphere are complex due to inherent dynamical status of each latitudinal zone and qualified geomagnetic roles working in the system. In an attempt to identify such process, the paper presents temporal and latitudinal variations of ionization density (foF<SUB>2</SUB>) covering 45°N to 35°S, during a number of earthquake events (M > 5.5). The approaches adopted for extraction of features by the earthquake induced preparatory processes are discussed in the paper through identification of parameters like the ‘EQ time modification in density gradient’ defined by δ = (foF<SUB>2 max</SUB> − foF<SUB>2 min</SUB>)∕τ<SUB>mm</SUB>, where τ<SUB>mm</SUB> – time span (in days) between EQ modified density maximum and minimum, and the Earthquake time Equatorial Anomaly, i.e. EEA, one of the most significant phenomenon which develops even during night time irrespective of epicenter position. Based on the observations, the paper presents the seismic time coupling dynamics through anomaly like manifestations between equator, low and mid latitude ionosphere bringing in the global Total Electron Content (TEC) features as supporting indices.</P>
