On Approximation by Matrix Means of the Multiple Fourier Series in the Hölder Metric
Deger, Ugur Department of Mathematics 2016 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.56 No.1
In this work, we shall give the degree of approximation for functions belonging to $H{\ddot{o}}lder$ class by matrix summability method of multiple Fourier series in the $H{\ddot{o}}lder$ metric.
Approximation by trigonometric polynomials to functions in L_p-norm
U. Deger,İ. Dagadur,M. Küçükaslan 장전수학회 2012 Proceedings of the Jangjeon mathematical society Vol.15 No.2
Let n(f) denote the n-th term of the (C; 1) transform the partial sums of Fourier series of a 2 periodic function f. Quade, in [3], has shown that if f is a function in the class Lip(; p), (0 < 1, p 1), then kf nkp = O(n )for either p > 1 and 0 < 1 or p = 1 and 0 < < 1. He also showed that if p = = 1, then kf nk1 = O(n 1log(n + 1)).The work of Quade [3] was improved by Chandra [2] for trigonometric polynomials. In this paper, we extend some results of Chandra to more general C-method obtained by deleting a set of rows from the Cesáro matrix C1.
Investigation of ferromagnetic resonance and damping properties of CoFeB
E. Gokce Polat,C. Deger,F. Yildiz 한국물리학회 2019 Current Applied Physics Vol.19 No.4
In this study, the influences of thin film thickness and post-annealing process on the magnetic properties of CoFeB thin films were investigated. The angular dependency and linewidth of the ferromagnetic resonance signal were used to explore the magnetic behavior of sputtered single-layer and trilayer thin film stacks of CoFeB. A micromagnetic simulation model was employed based on the metropolis algorithm comprising the demagnetizing field and in-plane induced uniaxial anisotropy terms with all relevant contributions. Our results reveal that the direction of magnetization changes from in-plane to out-of-plane as a result of the annealing process and induces a perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in the 1-nm thick CoFeB thin film. The ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) linewidth can be defined well by the intrinsic Gilbert damping effect and the magnetic inhomogeneity contribution in both as-grown and annealed samples. The difference between the linewidths of the single and trilayer film is mainly caused by the spin pumping effect on damping which is associated with the interface layers.

Objectives. To retrospectively evaluate the patients who underwent nasopharyngeal biopsy with imaging and biopsy results, who have or don’t have symptoms for nasopharyngeal pathology and to determine the ratio of the nasopharyngeal cancer cases and other pathologic conditions. Methods. In this retrospective study, 983 patients who underwent endoscopic nasopharyngeal biopsy for symptomatic nasopharyngeal lesions were included. All pathological results, benign or malign was recorded and classified due to the patients’ presenting symptoms such as symptomatic for nasopharyngeal pathology or asymptomatic. Computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reports were also recorded separately as group A for malignancy or group B for not malignancy. Results. Forty-five (4.6%) of 983 biopsies were malignant. In this group, there is no statistically significant difference between symptomatic and asymptomatic group. For malignant pathologies, the sensitivity of MRI was found 88.2% and CT was 61.5%. Conclusion. For early diagnosis of nasopharyngeal cancer, all patients admitted to Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) referral clinics should be examined endoscopically irrespective of their complaints and suspicious cases should be investigated by imaging especially by MRI. If MRI report clearly indicates Thornwaldt cyst or reactive lymphoid hyperplasia and this result is compatible with endoscopic findings, biopsy may not be necessary. Apart from these cases, all suspected lesions should be biopsied.
Lymphangiectatic Variant of Low Grade Malignant Eccrine Spiradenoma
Gizem Akkas Akgun,Anvar Ahmedov,Ali İhsan Parlar,Mehmet Hüseyin Metineren,Ayse Nur Deger 대한피부과학회 2023 Annals of Dermatology Vol.35 No.1
Low-grade malignant eccrine spiradenoma (spiradenocarcinoma) is a rare sweat glandtumor, which usually arises from a pre- existing benign eccrine spiradenoma. This paperpresents the case of a 55-year-old male who had a lesion in his right elbow for 10 years. Themicroscopic examination revealed a well-demarcated, multilobulated tumor in the dermisand subcutis, which presented with many blood-filled vessels and extensive hemorrhage. The tumor was composed of hyperchromatic, round to oval cells with nucleolar prominence, mild to moderate atypia, and increased mitotic index. Additionally, lymphangiectaticappearance was observed in areas with prominent stromal lymphedema. P53 and Ki-67 hadhigh positivity. Surgical excision of the lesion was performed with adequate surgical margins, and the dissected lymph nodes in the axilla were tumor-negative. After 15 months offollow-up, there was no recurrence or distant metastasis.
