Badami writes the ancient Upanishad horse and chariot archetype into Can You Hear the Nightbird Call of 2007 in with the subliminal use of Sanskrit philology understanding a cultural origin for the need to disguise this archetype with similar homonyms and allusions for some socio-political motive. The c[h]akra-causal or chariot-horse or time [chronos] archetype has been present since ancient Sanskrit writings through the influences upon the Canadian such as classical, Russian and English.
Coconut husk as a biosorbent for methylene blue removal and its kinetics study
Dave, Shailesh R.,Dave, Vaishali A.,Tipre, Devayani R. Techno-Press 2012 Advances in environmental research Vol.1 No.3
Biosorption of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution was studied with respect to the point of zero charge of coconut husk, dye concentration, particle size, pH, temperature, as well as adsorbent and NaCl concentration using coconut husk biomass. Amongst Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms studied, Langmuir adsorption isotherm showed better agreement. Pseudo second order kinetics model was found to be more suitable for data presentation as compared to pseudo first order kinetics model. Also, involvement of diffusion process was studied using intraparticle diffusion, external mass transfer and Boyd kinetic model. Involvement of intraparticle diffusion model was found to be more relevant (prominent) as compared to external mass transfer (in) for methylene blue biosorption by the coconut husk. Moreover, thermodynamic properties of MB biosorption by coconut husk were studied. Desorption of methylene blue from biomass was studied with different desorbing agents, and the highest desorption achieved was as low as 7.18% with acetone, which indicate stable immobilization. Under the experimental conditions MB sorption was not significantly affected by pH, temperature and adsorbent concentration but low sorption was observed at higher NaCl concentrations.
CELEBRITIES AS HUMAN BRANDS: AN INQUIRY ON STAKEHOLDER-ACTOR CO-CREATION OF BRAND IDENTITIES
Dave Centeno,Jeff Jianfeng Wang 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2016 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2016 No.7
This paper examines the co-creation of human brands identities exemplified by celebrities in a stakeholder-actor approach. By bringing together the theoretical web of service-dominant logic, stakeholder theory, actor-network theory, and consumer culture theory, we argue that human brand identities are co-created by multiple stakeholder-actors that have resources and incentives in the activities that make a up an enterprise of a human brand, including the celebrities themselves, consumer-fans, and business entities. By utilizing an observational, archival netnographic data from popular social media channels, four exemplars of celebrity identities from the Philippines demonstrate the co-creation of human brands. Findings illustrate key stakeholder-actors’ participations, production and consumption, and integrations of resources and incentives in the co-creation process as articulated in social media. The co-creation process happens through sociological translations codes namely: social construction and negotiation of identities, parasocialization, influence projection, legitimization, and utilization of human brand identities. These dynamics of human brand identity advance a stakeholder-actor paradigm of service co-creation that is adaptive to the predominant consumer culture and human ideals that surround the celebrity. Implications and future research on celebrity brand marketing management are discussed.
Novel inhaled triple therapy in COPD
( Dave Singh ) 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 2019 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 추계학술대회 초록집 Vol.127 No.-
Triple therapy is the combination of an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) with long acting beta agonist and long acting muscarinic antagonist; this is most conveniently administered using a single inhaler. The single inhaler triple combination containing beclometasone dipropionate, formoterol fumarate and glycopyrronium has been evaluated in three large clinical trials, which have consistently shown clinical benefits versus double combinations and long acting bronchodilator monotherapy. Importantly, triple therapy reduces exacerbation rates in COPD patients with a history of exacerbations despite previous treatment with double combinations inhalers or long acting bronchodilator monotherapy. This triple combination has an extra-fine formulation, allowing an increased fraction to be delivered to the small airways. This allows a reduction of the ICS dose, which limits the potential for ICS related adverse effects. This novel inhaled triple therapy provides a treatment option for COPD patients with a high symptom burden and exacerbations.
Assessment of portable traveling pluviator to prepare reconstituted sand specimens
Dave, Trudeep N.,Dasaka, S.M. Techno-Press 2012 Geomechanics & engineering Vol.4 No.2
Air pluviation method is widely adopted for preparation of large, uniform and repeatable sand beds of desired densities for laboratory studies to simulate in-situ conditions and obtain test results which are highly reliable. This paper presents details of a portable traveling pluviator recently developed for model sand bed preparation. The pluviator essentially consisted of a hopper, orifice plates for varying deposition intensity, combination of flexible and rigid tubes for smooth travel of material, and a set of diffuser sieves to obtain uniformity of pluviated sand bed. It was observed that sand beds of lower relative density can be achieved by controlling height of fall, whereas, denser sand beds could be obtained by controlling deposition intensity. Uniformity of pluviated sand beds was evaluated using cone penetration test and at lower relative densities minor variation in density was observed with depth. With increase in relative density of sand bed higher repeatability of uniform pluviation was achieved.

This study aims to investigate the effect of an aluminum chromium nitride (AlCrN) coating on tool wear and hole quality in the conventional drilling process of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) composites, titanium alloy (Ti), and CFRP–Ti stack workpieces popular in the aerospace industry. The advanced arc plasma acceleration (APA) method of physical vapor deposition (PVD) was used for all AlCrN coatings. The drilling experiments were conducted with uncoated drills as well as AlCrN-coated drills. When drilling CFRP only, the AlCrN coating was removed at the drill cutting edges and the margin area, which suggests the carbon fibers abraded the coatings. When drilling Ti only, the AlCrN-coated drill mitigated the Ti adhesion formation, which resulted in less tool wear. In addition, hole quality for both CFRP and Ti was improved when the coating was used versus the uncoated tool. The machinability of CFRP–Ti stacks in the drilling process was improved by utilizing the advanced AlCrN coating on the WC tool in terms of drilling forces and hole quality parameters such as average hole size, average hole roundness, hole surface roughness, and Ti exit burr height.
ICS use and blood eosinophils in COPD; precision medicine
( Dave Singh ) 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 2019 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 추계학술대회 초록집 Vol.127 No.-
Inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) prevent exacerbations in COPD patients, and are commonly prescribed in combination with long acting bronchodilators. However, the clinical benefits of ICS varies between patients, and these drugs can cause adverse effects including pneumonia and osteoporosis. Blood eosinophil counts are a biomarker that can be used to identify COPD patients with a greater probability of gaining benefit from ICS use. The evidence for blood eosinophil counts in this context comes from a number of retrospective and prospective analysis of randomised controlled trials in COPD patients with a history of exacerbations. The use of clinical characteristics plus biomarker information allows a precision medicine approach to exacerbation prevention in COPD.
