      • The Effects of Maglev Chopper’s Control Cycle on Suspension Performance in EMS System

        The cascade control strategy of current inner loop and airgap outer loop is usually adopted in electromagnetic suspension (EMS) system. The current loop and airgap loop adopt different control cycles in controller design, and the current loop control cycle is required to be shorter than the airgap loop control cycle. In theory, the shorter the control cycle of the inner loop, the better the following effect of the chopper current, and the more beneficial to the suspension system. However, it also needs the higher controller performance and control algorithm efficiency. With the suspension control performance permitted, reducing the current loop control frequency can effectively reduce the requirements of the controller performance and expand the selection range of the controller. In order to determine the appropriate control period of the current loop in the digital suspension system, the mathematical model of the suspension system and the maglev chopper is established, then the quantitative relationship between the current loop control period and the coil current ripple is deduced. Based on Simulink, the coupling simulation model of the maglev chopper and the suspension system is established, where the influence of the chopper control period on the performance of the suspension system is simulated and analyzed.

        The Use of Media Supplementaries to Change Chinese EFL Learners’ Attitudes toward English as an Intercultural Language

        The advent of EIcL renders us to treat the English language spoken in any specific country as a local variety, which is neutral in terms of language prestige. This paper delves into some properties of EIcL in relation to WEs and EIL and examines how Chinese EFL learners understand the notion of EIcL and how they change their attitudes toward 8 language varieties after 15 weeks’ pedagogical intervention. For our discussion, we have conducted a survey among 76 Chinese university students. The results of the survey are as follows. First, the subjects overwhelmingly prefer the two major varieties, American (93.42%) and British English (82.89%). Second, they increase their preference for the other 6 minor varieties after explicit instruction. Finally, they change their attitudes toward these minorities, affected mainly by their cultural aspects reflected in media supplementaries.

        Research on Production Scheduling Optimization of Flexible Job Shop Production with Buffer Capacity Limitation Based on the Improved Gene Expression Programming Algorithm

        This study proposes a method to combine the improved gene expression programming (IGEP) and buffer-local scheduling to solve the optimization problem of flexible job shop production scheduling with buffer capacity limitation (BLFJSP). The IGEP algorithm was first used for the overall optimization and later combined with the flexible job shop production mode to design a multi-gene chromosome coding method to realize the overall optimization of the production schedule using the genetic biological evolution function. Furthermore, when the algorithm fell into a local extremum, the Jaccard similarity coefficient method was used to filter the approximate chromosomes, and the historical excellent chromosome backtracking method was used to increase the diversity of the population. Lastly, we designed the local scheduling rules of the job in and out of the buffer area. Based on the IGEP algorithm and considering the influence of buffer capacity limitation on the scheduling scheme, the final production scheduling scheme was generated by dual optimization methods aiming at minimizing blocking time and minimizing maximum completion time. Based on the actual production data of an assembly manufacturing company, multiple sets of simulation programs were designed to validate the IGEP algorithm for solving the optimization problem of BLFJSP.

        Korean and Chinese University EFL Learners’ Perceptions of and Attitudes toward Online and Face-to-Face Lectures During COVID-19

        This study reports Chinese and Korean university EFL students’ perceptions of and attitudes toward online and face-to-face English language learning modes during COVID-19. Few previous studies have focused on how students thought of online and face-to-face learning experiences of subjects regarding new concept learning and delivery of new contents. Research gravitating around English courses showed students' mixed perceptions. The survey was conducted for 302 Korean and 337 Chinese university students who took communication-oriented English courses. Descriptive statistics and qualitative data analysis were used for analysis. Results indicated that students preferred face-to-face English learning with some specific indications of achieving a stronger help and quality for communicative competence in language. Online learning also benefited students with a sense of both flexibility and independence. Positive components of face-to-face learning for language education might be considered for online education while incorporation features such as flexibility and independence to enrich language education during COVID-19.

        Olanzapine May Inhibit Colonic Motility Associated with the 5-HT Receptor and Myosin Light Chain Kinase

        ObjectiveaaTo study whether the effects of olanzapine on gastrointestinal motility is related to the serotonin antagonism and myosin light chain kinase. MethodsaaMale Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups. Olanzapine gavage was performed for each treatment group during the course of 30 continuous days, while the same volume of saline was given to the rats in the control group. Defecation of the rats was observed on days 7 and 30 after olanzapine gavage. The effects of olanzapine on contraction of colonic smooth muscles were observed in ex vivo experiments. A Western blot was used to evaluate expression levels of the serotonin transporter (SERT) and MLCK in colon segments of the rats. ResultsaaCompared to the control group, 5–160 μM of olanzapine could inhibit dose-dependently the contraction of colonic smooth muscle ex vivo experiments. The maximum smooth muscle contraction effects of 5-HT and acetylcholine significantly decreased after treatment with 40–160 μM of olanzapine. Constipation was found in the olanzapine-treated rats on day 7 and have sustained day 30 after gavage. Expression of MLCK in olanzapine-treated rats was significantly decreased, whereas the expression of SERT significantly increased on the day 7, then significantly decreased on the day 30 after olanzapine gavage. ConclusionaaSERT and MLCK may involve in the inhibition of colonic contraction induced by olanzapine.

        Study of the structural damage identification method based on multi-mode information fusion

        Due to structural complicacy, structural health monitoring for civil engineering needs more accurate and effectual methods of damage identification. This study aims to import multi-source information fusion (MSIF) into structural damage diagnosis to improve the validity of damage detection. Firstly, the essential theory and applied mathematic methods of MSIF are introduced. And then, the structural damage identification method based on multi-mode information fusion is put forward. Later, on the basis of a numerical simulation of a concrete continuous box beam bridge, it is obviously indicated that the improved modal strain energy method based on multi-mode information fusion has nicer sensitivity to structural initial damage and favorable robusticity to noise. Compared with the classical modal strain energy method, this damage identification method needs much less modal information to detect structural initial damage. When the noise intensity is less than or equal to 10%, this method can identify structural initial damage well and truly. In a word, this structural damage identification method based on multi-mode information fusion has better effects of structural damage identification and good practicability to actual structures.

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>The structure of the new medium‐pore aluminophosphate molecular sieve PST‐6 is determined by the combined use of rotation electron diffraction tomography, synchrotron X‐ray powder diffraction, and computer modeling. PST‐6 was prepared by calcination of another new aluminophosphate material with an unknown structure synthesized using diethylamine as a structure‐directing agent, which is thought to contain bridging hydroxy groups. PST‐6 has 36 crystallographically distinct tetrahedral sites in the asymmetric unit and is thus crystallographically the most complex zeolitic structure ever solved.</P>

        Nanosheets of copolymerized ionic liquid-based polyelectrolyte complexes regulated at oil–water interface and their emulsification capability

        The emulsification by polyelectrolyte complexes is easy to handle, and could be considered as an effectivestrategy for introducing functional materials to liquid–liquid interfaces, but the related studies are stillinsufficient. Herein, a kind of copolymerized ionic liquid (PIL-co-PVIm) which is synthesized from 1-vinyl-3-ethylimidazolium bromide and 1-vinylimidazole, are used as polycation to form polyelectrolytecomplexes type Pickering emulsifiers with sodium alginate, poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) and poly(acrylic acid) sodium salt respectively as polyanion. For toluene-water emulsion systems andhydrophobic ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([BMIm]PF6)-watersystem, the polyelectrolyte complexes formed by PIL-co-PVIm and sodium alginate or poly (sodium4-styrenesulfonate) showed best emulsification capability. The emulsions stabilized by the polyelectro-lyte complexes at stoichiometric ratio are relatively less stable compared to non-stoichiometriccomplexes, while PIL-co-PVIm without complexation has no emulsification capability. The polyelectro-lyte complexes based on homopolymerized PIL give an unsatisfied emulsification capability, while theemulsification performance could be remarkably improved by copolymerizing ionic liquids with theuncharged comonomer, but excessive contents of the uncharged unit make the polyelectrolytecomplexes less interface active. The sheet-like PECs are formed in aqueous dispersions, and theirthickness is remarkably reduced at oil–water interface after emulsification, approximately ranging from200 nm to 10 nm by manipulating the polyanion.
