Wavelet based Fast Numerical Solutions of Elliptic Differential Equations

본 논문에서는 근사이론과 웨이블렛 분해를 이용하여 타원형 편미분방정식에 대한 고속수치 해법을 연구하였다. 특히 타원형 편미분방정식에 대한 웨이블렛의 수학적 분석을 통하여 실질적으로 빠른 수치해법을 수행할 수 있는 전처리 행열자를 유도하였다. 실제 수치모의실험을 위하여 주기적 경계조건을 갖는 간단한 모델을 사용하였다. The objective of this paper is to study of a fast numerical sollution method of elliptic differential equations based on approximation theory and wavelet decompositions. For the numerical simulation of this study, we consider a simple model of elliptic differential equations with periodic boundary conditions and empoly orthogonal wavelets.

Hollow fiber module contactor can be designed to provide a very high surface area per unit volume, which makes them very effective in comparison to conventional extraction equipment. Since the phases are separated by the membranes, the loading, flooding, and channeling constraints of conventional equipment are avoided. The optimum conditions for the change of H^+ concentration in heavy metal(Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), Cd(II)) solution, the change of flow rate inside-outside hollow fiber membrane and the removal of heavy metal by the sort of extractant(Lix84-n-heptane, TOA-n-heptane, D2EHPA-n-heptane) were examined through perstraction of aqueous phase heavy metal from the hollow fiber module by organic extractant. <P>Diabetes is related with a number of cystopathic complications. However, there have been no studies about the influence of alcohol consumption in the bladder of type 2 diabetes. Thus, we investigated the effect of moderate alcohol intake in the bladder of the Otsuka Long Evans Tokushima Fatty (OLETF) diabetic rat. The non-diabetic Long-Evans Tokushima Otsuka (LETO, n=14) and the OLETF control group (n=14) were fed an isocaloric diet; the LETO (n=14) and the OLETF ethanol group (n=14) were fed 36% ethanol 7 g/kg/day. After ten weeks, muscarinic receptors, RhoGEFs, myogenic change, and the level of oxidative stress were evaluated. Moderate alcohol intake significantly decreased excessive muscarinic receptor and Rho kinase expressions in the OLETF rats compared with the LETO rats. In addition, iNOS and collagen expression were not changed in the OLETF rats in spite of alcohol consumption. Superoxide dismutase levels, which is involved in antioxidant defense, in the LETO rats were significantly decreased after alcohol consumption, however those in the OLETF rats were similar. Moderate alcohol consumption reduces the oxidative stress, and may prevent molecular and pathologic changes of the bladder of rats with type 2 diabetes.</P>

Background: Quantification of epidermal innervation could be used not only for diagnosing peripheral neuropathies but also assessing pruritic atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. However, innovation of methodology in imaging is mandatory to overcome the inevitable limitations of 2-D assessment based on tissue section. Objectives: The aim of this subsequent work was to advance true 3-D imaging and evaluation of intraepidermal nerve fibers (IENFs). Methods: Healthy individuals were prospectively enrolled. Both of conventional 2-D and new 3-D based methods were used. The 3-D analysis was proceeded by previously reported our tissue clearing and labeling method combined with newly adopted suction blister method. Results: The suction blister method instead of salt split skin test used in our previous study provided meaningfully improved 3-D images of IENFs especially regarding integrity of linearity from base to endings. The volume images with advanced qualities were leaded to increased objectivity in subsequent assessment. In addition, the suction blister method was contributed to less invasive procedure to subjects compared with punch biopsy and resulted in no scar. Conclusion: In conclusion, our advanced skin clearing method could produce more reliable 3-D images of IENFs and the quantified 3-D parameters could provide novel measurable indicators in assessing chronic inflammatory skin disorders.
The Rising Usage of Internet Online Portal Services as Trade Remittance Method

본 연구는 신용장결제방식 대신 송금방식을 더 많이 활용하는 중소 무역업체들의 무역대금결제 경향에 대한 탐색적 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 송금방식을 선택하는 이유로서 은행이 제공하는 인터넷 온라인포털 서비스가 가장 중요한 이유임을 미국의 중소 무역업체들의 설문응답을 통해 밝히고 있다. 미국의 중소무역업체들의 결제방식 선호도를 조사해본 결과, 한국 중소무역업체와 비슷한 경향을 나타내고 있다. 송금방식을 선택하는 가장 중요한 이유로서 은행이 제공하는 인터넷 온라인 포털서비스를 지적한 것은 우리나라 기업과 은행에게 많은 정책적 시사점을 주고 있다. 인터넷온라인 포털 서비스는 신용장 방식을 대체하는 결제방식으로서 편의를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 무역거래에서 파생되는 위험을 회피하는 헷징 기능을 함께 제공하고 있다. This paper is an exploratory study to investigate the increasing utilization of remittance payment method in lieu of the letter of credit payment method by small and medium trading companies. Survey results show that the most important reason for the US small trading companies when they choose the remittance method instead of the letter of credit method is the internet online portal service offered by bank. The preference among different payment methods reveals the similar patterns between the US and Korean small companies. The internet online portal service as the most important reason for remittance method has some policy implications for both Korean companies and banks. The internet online portal service provides not only a payment convenience per se compared to the letter of credit but hedge the risks arising from international trade as well.

This study examines NI?? Liq-Liq Extraction by the microporous hollow fiber membrane, using D2EHPA as the metal extractant. After doing the experiments on the variation of H' concentration, flow rate and D2EHPA concentration which have important effects on Liq-Liq Extraction, it is known that the mass transfer increases as the flow rate and D2EHPA concentration increase when H' concentration is 10?? mol/d㎥ and for the Ni(II)-D2EHPA system, when H concentration is 10?? mol/d㎥ , kw is 12.64x10?? cm/sec.
