The basic concepts of the wound healing are primary closure, secondary intension, skin graft, and flap surgery. The rapid advancement of the medicine and the operative technology enables each operation to improve that the concept of the wound healing is required to be the satisfactory cosmetic result rather than simple wound healing. In covering the skin defect, the flap surgery is superior to the skin graft in than the former provides more excellent color and texture than the latter, but the local flap from the small donor site has the problem of the restriction of the donor site and the scar according to the Barter's principle. Especially, in the case of the scalp defect, traditional methods such as hair graft or local flap have beeb used to treat the baldness, but they were restricted by the locality and the hair loss of the donor site. Since the introduction of the expansion technique by Radovan in 1957, the use of it has showen more excellent result than any other technique already used and has made it possible to cover thee recipient site without the loss of hair in donor site of the scalp. We implanted the tissue expanders of cresent, round, rectangular forms in the subgleal space in 11 cases of 8 scalp defect patients due to burn, trauma, and congenital disease and gradually expanded them by infusion of 10-15% of total volume at each time, 1-3 times a week after 2or3 weeks postoperatively. After 3-5 month of expansion, we could cover the scalp defect by the expanded scalp. We saw partial necrosis and transitional non-inflation in two cases, but we succeded to cover the scalp with the normal hair-bearing scalp in all the 11 cases.

Abstract-In order to investigate pharmacological properties of New Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Pill(NSCH) and Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Pill (SCH), the effects of NSCH and SCH on cerebral ischemia and central nervous system were compared. Cerebral ischemia insult was performed using unilateral carotid artery occlusion in mongolian gerbils. The histological observations showed preventive effects of NSCH and SCH treatments with ischemia-induced brain damage. The ATP in brain tissue was decreased in vehicle-treated ischemic gerbils. This decrease was prevented by SCH treatment. In contrast to what was seen with ATP, lipid peroxide were elevated in vehicle-treated ischemic gerbils. This elevation was inhibited by NSCH and SCH treatments. While NSCH and SCH had no effects on the hexobarbital-induced sleeping time, they prevented the seizures induced by eletric shock and strychnine. NSCH and SCH showed sedative effect in rotarod and spontaneous activity test. Furthermore, NSCH and SCH showed anti-stress effect. Our findings suggest that the pharmacological profiles of NSCH on cerebral ischemia and central nervous system are similar to those of SCH.
순간충격시험에 의한 금정산지역 화강암의 수리적 매개변수 산출

This study is aimed for estimating hydraulic parameters using the Cooper-Bredhoeft-Papadopulos, the Hvorslev, the Bouwer & Rice analyses of data obtained by the slug test, and for characterizing hydraulic properties at the test holes in relation to drill core data. The study area was divided into four subareas far which the hydraulic characteristics was considered. The relationship among hydraulic parameters obtained by the three slug test analyses was also considered. The difference of hydraulic conductivity estimates between the injection slug test and the withdrawal slug test seems to be caused by the permeable fracture distribution around the test hole and the disturbance of fine materials in the fractures induced by the pressure variation due to slug injection and withdrawal. The hydraulic conductivity estimates calculated by the Cooper-Bredhoeft-Papadopulos, the Hvorslev and the Bouwer & Rice analyses range from 10-8 to 10-5m/sec, and the average ranges from 10-7 to 10-6m/sec.

부산 금정산일대 용천수, 지하수 및 지열수의 지화학적 특성

Spring, groundwater and thermal water from the area and the vicinity of Mt. Geumjeong and Mt. Baekyang, Pusan city, has been sampled and analyzed for major and minor elements. According to the Piper diagram, spring water belongs to Ca^2^+-HCO_3^- and Na^+-HCO_3^- types, groundwater to Ca^2^+-HCO_3^- type, and thermal water to Na^+-CI^- type. Based on the phase stability diagrams of [Ca^2^+I/[H^+]^2, [Mg^2^^+I/[H^+]^2, and [Na^+I/[H^+] vs. [H_4SiO_4], spring water, groundwater and thermal water are mostly in equilibrium with kaolinite. The result of factor analysis shows three factors (factor 1,2 and factor 3) for the spring water, the groundwater and the thermal water which are represented by the influence of the dissolution of feldspar, calcite, anthropogenic sources (domestic and industrial wastes) and salt water.
