      • Research on High-Dimensional Data Reduction

        In this paper, features of high-dimensional data are analyzed, and existing problems of the Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) are analyzed for a single view of a full supervised view data. In order to improve CCA, we introduce the method of classifier and present a Classifying to Reduce Correlation Dimensionality (CRCD). Meanwhile, combining big interval learning method, we propose the big correlation analysis (BCA). At last, experiments are respectively conducted by using artificial data set and UCI standard data set. The result shows that methods are feasible and effective.

        Study on SO4 2-/ZrO2-MoO3 in the integrative transformation of cottonseed oil deodorizing distillate

        With the integrative transformation of non a-tocopherols, glycerides, free fatty acids, and methyl alcohol in cottonseed oil deodorizing distillate as the target reaction, we prepared highly catalytic SO42/ZrO2-MoO3 solid acid catalyst by precipitation–wet impregnation. The optimal conditions for catalyst preparation were then determined by varying sulfuric acid concentration, MoO3 loading factor,calcination temperature, and calcination time. The structure of SO42-/ZrO2-MoO3 solid acid catalyst was then examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller measurements, scanning electron microscopy, and other methods. Results show that the MoO3 loading factor (percentage weight ratio of MoO3 to ZrO2), impregnation concentration of sulfuric acid, and calcination temperature were the most important factors that influenced catalytic activity. The optimal conditions for catalyst preparation were an MoO3 loading factor of 20%, a sulfuric acid impregnation concentration of 0.75 mol/L, a calcination temperature of 550 8C, and a calcination time of 6 h. The obtained catalyst exhibited the highest catalytic activity under these conditions.

        Analysis of cytosine methylation status in potato by methylation-sensitive amplified polymorphisms under low-temperature stress

        China is the leading producer of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum) in the world. However, low-temperature stress can severely restrict the yield and quality of potato crops in that country. We used methylation-sensitive amplified polymorphisms (MSAPs) to analyze how such stress might alter the status of cytosine methylation in potato cultivar ‘Atlantic’. Over 2400 loci were identified and assessed for DNA methylation in chilling-treated and control plants. The level of cytosine methylation increased from 37.71% to 56.51% after 48 h of treatment but then decreased to 42.14% after 60 h of chilling. Stress-induced changes in the banding patterns of DNA methylation primarily resulted from full methylation of CG (internal cytosine of 5’-CCGG-3’) on double DNA strands. We sequenced 78 polymorphic DNA fragments and blasted them against NCBI. Expression patterns of 4 genes were then assessed via semi-quantitative RT-PCR. The expression patterns of genes related to chilling stress appeared to be regulated by the methylation or demethylation status in potato.

        Study of H2O adsorption on sulfides surfaces and thermokinetic analysis

        Adsorption of water on mineral surfaces was studied using density functional theory andmicrocalorimetry technique. The calculation results show that galena and molybdenite are hydrophobic,while pyrite and sphalerite is hydrophilic. Thermokinetic analysis shows that the heat of adsorption is indecreasing order of pyrite, sphalerite, galena and molybdenite, which is in good agreement with thecalculation results. The adsorption kinetics parameters of hydrophobic galena and molybdenite surfacesare close, while those of hydrophilic pyrite and sphalerite surfaces are very different. The adsorption rateof water on the sphalerite surface is larger than that of water on the pyrite surface.

        The flow and heat transfer performances of magnetic nanofluid in a duct in presence of magnetic fields with different direction

        The flow and heat transfer characteristics of magnetic nanofluids in a circular channel under the action of magnetic fields were studied through numerical simulation based on the finite element method. The results show that there are obvious secondary vortices on the cross-section, and a swirling flow is formed in the duct under the coupling effects of the magnetic field, velocity distribution, and thermal variations which destroys the boundary layer, accelerates the mixing of fluids, and enhances heat transfer. In the studied range, the maximum heat transfer coefficient can be increased by 102.65 %, and the maximum comprehensive heat transfer factor J is 1.69 compared to the ferrofluid not affected by the external magnetic field. In addition, the effect of enhancing heat transfer gradually decreases with the increase of θ, until heat transfer is slightly inhibited when the magnetic field is parallel to the flow direction.

        Volatile Chemical and Carotenoid Profiles in Watermelons [Citrullus vulgaris (Thunb.) Schrad (Cucurbitaceae)] with Different Flesh Colors

        Twelve watermelon [Citrullus vulgaris (Thunb.)Schrad (Cucurbitaceae)] cultivars with different flesh colors were analyzed by HPLC, GC-FID, and GC-MS for their differences in carotenoid, soluble sugar, organic acid,and flavor. Results showed that all-trans violaxanthin, 9-cis-violaxanthin, and luteoxanthin were the main carotenoid esters in watermelons with yellow flesh. However,watermelons with red flesh were rich in all-trans lycopene and their cis-isomers. High concentrations of β-carotene and pro-lycopenes were found in watermelon with orangeyellow flesh. Large variations in the sucrose concentration were observed among the different watermelons. Sucrose and/or fructose were the dominant sugars, while citric acid and malic acid were the main organic acids in watermelon flesh. Limonene was detected in the watermelon flesh of all investigated genotypes. Interestingly, partial correlation analysis of the chemical concentrations revealed 2 significant (p<0.01) positive correlations between β-ionone and β-carotene, and between (E)-geranyl acetone and prolycopenes

        Identification and expression analysis of the bZIP and WRKY gene families during anthocyanins biosynthesis in Lagerstroemia indica L

        Lagerstroemia indica is a summer ornamental fl owering tree, belonging to the Lythraceae family. Its fl ower color is a key ornamental characteristic. Recent research indicates that WRKY and bZIP transcription factors play important role in f l ower color formation. Based on the transcriptome database of L. indica , this study identifi ed 85 LibZIPs and 61 LiWRKYs from the L. indica transcriptome database and analyzed their expression profi les using qRT-PCR. Phylogenetic analysis divided LibZIPs into 11 subfamilies and LiWRKYs into six subfamilies. Nine LibZIPs and four LiWRKYs were found to have higher expression in colored samples compared to the white sample. LibZIP31 , LibZIP65 , LibZIP34 , LiWRKY16 , LiWRKY25 , LiWRKY40 , and LiWRKY67 may play important roles in fl ower color formation in L. indica . These results provide valuable information for further functional analysis of the bZIP and WRKY genes families in L. indica and help clarify their roles in fl ower color formation.

        Xe Distribution in Xe-ion Implanted NaCl Crystal

        Former experimental results show that solid-state alkali-Xe cluster could be formed in xenon-ion-implanted alkali halide crystal. This kind of cluster makes solid state alkali metal-xenon nano-materials potential candidates for preparing UV micro-laser matrix. By means of Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry (RBS) and TRIM codes, Xe atom distributions are studied in this paper. The results show that Xe was found at a depth of around 250 nm. As xenon concentration increased, the number of metallic Na colloids increased as well. These metallic Na colloids were found in SEM images of our irradiated samples, and the formation of solid-state NaXe clusters in NaCl implanted by 129Xe has been used to explain the results in this paper.         Cloud Task Scheduling Based on Proximal Policy Optimization Algorithm for Lowering Energy Consumption of Data Center

        As a part of cloud computing technology, algorithms for cloud task scheduling place an important influence on the area of cloud computing in data centers. In our earlier work, we proposed DeepEnergyJS, which was designed based on the original version of the policy gradient and reinforcement learning algorithm. We verified its effectiveness through simulation experiments. In this study, we used the Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) algorithm to update DeepEnergyJS to DeepEnergyJSV2.0. First, we verify the convergence of the PPO algorithm on the dataset of Alibaba Cluster Data V2018. Then we contrast it with reinforcement learning algorithm in terms of convergence rate, converged value, and stability. The results indicate that PPO performed better in training and test data sets compared with reinforcement learning algorithm, as well as other general heuristic algorithms, such as First Fit, Random, and Tetris. DeepEnergyJSV2.0 achieves better energy efficiency than DeepEnergyJS by about 7.814%.
