OEFMON: An open evaluation framework for multimedia over networks
Chunho Lee,Myungchul Kim,Hyun, S. J.,Sooyong Lee,Ben Lee,Kyounghee Lee IEEE 2011 IEEE communications magazine Vol.49 No.9

As various types of networks are proliferating with greater capacity, the demand for multimedia services, such as videoconferencing, VoIP, and IPTV, over underlying networks has been increasing. This demand has increased the need for an evaluation framework to analyze the quality of such multimedia services and network performances for the related research areas. This article proposes OEFMON, an open framework for evaluating the quality of multimedia transmissions over networks. OEFMON integrates a multimedia module and a network simulator. The major advantages of OEFMON compared to other existing work are support for any number of multimedia codecs, adaptive coding based on network feedback, on-the-fly observation of multimedia transmission, and easy extension for other tools. A couple of case studies are performed to demonstrate the applicability and usefulness of our framework.

The purification performance of vehicle exhaust catalytic converter has been gradually enhanced due to exhaust gas regulation. Also, Exhaust catalytic system is affected by high temperature and external vibration. Catalyst heat-shield is used to prevent thermal damage around the catalyst. Recently, two-ply heat shields of welding type have been applied to automotive exhaust catalytic converter. This paper shows modeling approaches dealing with two-ply heat shield for catalytic converter. Developed modeling method was applied to vibration and thermal analysis. For the verification of the usage of the new model, Analysis results using FEM(Finite Element Method) were compared with test results, it showed a good agreement between numerical and experimental results
Novel Design of Optical Power Distributor of Three-Guide GADCs using Modal Transmission-Line Theory
Kwang-ChunHo 에스케이텔레콤 (주) 2003 Telecommunications Review Vol.13 No.2
Newly developed modal transmission-line theory (MTLT) is derived to analyze rigorously the optical power distribution in grating-assisted directional couplers (GADCs) with three guiding channels. By defining a novel coupling efficiency η amenable to the rigorous analytical solutions of modal transmission-line theory, we explicitly evaluate the power coupling and distribution of TE modes. The results reveal that the incident power is sensitively partitioned through three output channels in terms of such grating parameters as the periodicity and height of grating embedded in the center guide.
Vol.30 No.2Ⅱ
기존의 SOFA(SOFtware Appliances)형의 컴포넌트에서 DCUP(Dynamic Component UPdating)통해 컴포넌트 조립이 가능하다.
