This is to investigate the posibility of home manufacturing of heavy chemical industry machines, such as rotary kiln, crusher, blower, cooler, electrostatic precipitator and weighing feeder of cement plant. It is concluded that even though we can not make all of them (some of them are made now and some others are going to be made in the near future, some of them are made whole and some others are made partially), we can build or export the cement plant by importing the important machines which we can not make now and by substituting them with ours gradually.

학동기에서 청년초기까지의 노력성 폐활량 및 1초량의 예측

Forced vital capacity(FVC) and forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV_1) were measured in 473 males and 413 females aged 8 to 21 years old who were healthy, non-smoking and attending school in Seoul with Collins Survey Spirometer(Warren E. Collins, Inc., U.S.A.). The results were as follows; 1. Prediction equations for FVC and FEV_1 were best expressed in a form of linear regression as a function of height, respectively, for a group of children aged 8 to 12 years, whereas as a function of age, height and weight for those older than 13 years both in males and females. 2. Mean difference between the measured and predicted values in each age group ranged 86 ml(1.1%)∼-54 ml(2.4%) for FVC and 167 ml(3.1%)∼-110 ml(3.2%) for FEV_1 in males and 86 ml(4.3%)∼-97 ml(4.6%) for FVC and 91 ml(1.7%)∼-125 ml(5.9%) for FEV_1 in females. 3. Mean one second rate (FEV_1%) were found to be 91.3±5.0 % aged 8 to 21 years in males and 93.5±4.8 % aged 8 to 19 years in females. There was a highly significant difference in FEV_1% aged 8 to 19 years between male and female (p<0.001).

A Case of Addison`s Disease Kwang Suk Kang, M.D., Chull-Wan Ihm, M.D Departement of Dermatology, Chonbuk National University Medical school, Chonju, Korea. We report a case of the Addison`s disease, presenting only skin changes without other symptoms of the disease. The patient was a 24-year-old-female, whose chief complaints were dark pigmentation of the skin and mucous membrane and scanty hairs of the axilla and pubic area. Laboratory findings disclosed decreased plasma cortisol, decreased urinary 24hrs` 17-ketosteroid and 17-hydroxycorticoid and inceased plasma ACTH. This paper attempts to analyze the type of Verbal­nexus compounds in terms of their syntactic underlying structures. It primarily concerns the relationship between components and corresponding structures. In analyzing the compounds, the transformational frameworks(Roeper & Siegel ; 1978) are reviewed and finally supported by the critic linguists. Transformational accounts for compounds in English have been suggested elsewhere in he literature by several linguists of varying interests and argumentations. Previous analyses, however, seem to lack of consistency and coherence in the compound­rules. In this paper I have centered on the verbal­nexus compounds which have has the structures ; V+­ing/­er and V+­en. It is stressed that verbal­nexus compounds are, in principle, the word­level realization of their syntactic counterparts and thus are best dealt with in the special morphological functions. Their two morphological functions are passive(V+en(ed)) form and active (V+ing/­er) form, which in turn have their corresponding transparent semantic structures as well. Some supplemental data, which are very productive and current, are classified and reanalyzed. As the result of analysis, the proposition suggested here was for the most part confirmed. Finally, some prospect for a new current tendency of compounds in English is commented as a conclusion.

과산화수소에 의한 황화물의 산화에 있어서 중간물로써의 폴리설파이드의 반응속도와 메커니즘

The absorbance of polysulfides being formed and decaying with time has an inflection point near the start of the reaction, then a maximum, and finally a second inflection point. The polysulfide formation and decay through the oxidation of sulfide at concentrations ranging from 2×10^(-3)M to 3×10^(-3)M with hydrogen peroxide at concentrations ranging from 3×10^(-2)M to 5×10^(-2)M at pH 8.0 and 8.6 were measured with a stopped-flow spectrophotometer. The instantaneous maximum conversion to polysulfides ranges from 38 to 78%. The kinetic parameters were determined with the initial rate method. The rate of sulfide consumption due to polysulfide formation and decay is determined to be d[∑S^(2-)]/dt=k₁[∑S^(2-)]^(0.)7[H₂O₂]^(1.1)-5k₂[∑S^(2-)_(χ)]^(0.7)[H₂O₂]^(0.4), where χ is the polysulfide index. The rate constants, k₁ and k₂, at pH 8.0 are higher than those at pH 8.6.

피마자 줄기를 利用한 pulp 製造 및 製紙에 關한 硏究

For the utilization of unwooden materials for manufacturing paper and pulp, the stem of castor-oil plant was examined and the results are as follows: (1) Per centage of cellulose in the stem of castor-oil plant was.38. (2) Physicalmeasures on the sample basic weight 60g/㎡were : bursting strength, 0.43Kg ; tensible strength, 1.69Kg ; and tear strength, 48. (3) Chemipulp made from castor-oil plant stem can be used in manufacturing papers of various qualities, from low to high, including tissue paper, wrapping paper, and cardboard. (4) The amount of pulp product out of average harvest of stems of castor-oil plant. from 10a was about 1.5 tons.

There are about 300 million people who are speaking English as a first or native language, through it is difficult to arrive at a figure representing those who speak English as a second or auxiliary language. So far we have encountered some variations of English throughout world. In KOREA this variety can be accounted for chiefly in terms of the linguistic contacts peculiar to America. The comparative study of the paper is divided into three parts such as pronunciation, spelling, and word usage in the American and British English. I have surveyed the historical background of the two languages briefly concerning the settlement of the modern English. Then, some remarks on the interactions between the two are made in terms of the pi·enunciation, spelling, and word usage. And I have suggested a graphical method to treat the lexical semantic variants of the word usages, representing two circle units, the Americanisms, and criticisms. Some linguistic divergences, regional and social characteristics, along with some influence of the loan words, have been revealed acceding to the survey. However, I would net suggest which form is "good" or "superior" English, because it will only bring about a more embarrassing effect on the present education of English in our country. I contend that the proper knowledge of the two nations' languages is advisable for us who are studying English as a second language. What we are discovering from the results, though it is not sufficient, I hope will he of both to the students and teachers of the English language.

경쟁의 심화, 브랜드 간의 차별성 감소 추세 속에서 마케팅 활동 중 창의적 광고 활동에 대한 기업의 관심은 날로 증가하고 있고 관련 업계나 학계에서도 이와 관련된 연구가 다양하게 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 광고의 창의성에 관한 많은 연구들은 주로 광고물의 창의성, 즉 어떤 광고물이 창의적인 것인가 하는 점과 광고 제작 업무가 보다 창의적으로 진행될 수 있는 조직 차원의 요소나 특징 등에 주로 초점이 맞춰져 왔다. 그러나 효과적이고 창의적인 광고를 위해서는 이러한 시스템뿐만 아니라 실제 광고 산출 과정에 투입되는 인력의 창의성이 중요하게 고려되지 않을 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구는 근래 광고대행사가 보다 창의적 광고활동을 하기 위해 도입하고 있는 전략 플래닝 시스템에 발맞추어 전략 플래너를 중심으로 이들의 창의성을 결정하는 변인이 무엇이며, 이들 변인들의 상대적 효과가 어떠한지를 점검하고자 한다. 구체적으로 Carl Jung의 이론을 기반으로 창의성에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 개인의 심리 속성인 외향성, 직관, 이해성, 감성성이 창의성에 미치는 영향력을 점검하였다. 아울러 창의성이 업무성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 다른 영역의 논의를 바탕으로 창의성이 실제로 광고영역의 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는지 확인하고 아울러 성과에 영향을 미칠 가능성이 있는 다른 변인들(내적요인 중심사고, 개방성)의 효과를 함께 살펴봄으로써 이들 변인들 간의 구조적 관계에 대한 이론 및 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다. Ad agencies have made a great deaf of efforts to enhance ad campaign creativity and marketing performances. One way to do that organizationally is to implement strategic planning system or account planing system. The account planning system aims more effective and creative ad campaign with an emphasis on the in-depth analysis of consumers for the development of effective ad campaigns. Ad agencies, on one hand, focus their management on the quality or creativity of individual advertisement, white they try to foster organizational creativity that would promote strategic planning and creative staffs to carry out their jobs in more creative ways. In fact, the importance of the creativity of an individual staff can't be overstated, but the reality is that the topic has long been neglected in the academic advertising research. This study is to make a particular reference to the individual staff, especially for the strategic planners in ad agencies, to discover what psychological attributes are related to the creativity and their performances. This is based on MBTI(Myers and Briggs) which originates from Carl Jung's typology. Secondly, there are few studies on the relationship between individual's psychological attributes and creativity, neither in specific fields such as advertising professionals. Thirdly, this study is to examine whether creativity is actually related to the ultimate performance. And, the effects of 'openness' and 'the locus of control' over the performance will be also examined. 231 ad campaign planners were interviewed as they were sampled conveniently. As results, this study indicates that extroversion[as opposed to introversion], intuition[as opposed to sensing], perception[as opposed to judging] are significantly re related to the creativity. However, unlike some of the past studies thinking(in the way of making decisions] is found to be more related to the creativity rather than 'feeling'. It seems that the subjects of this research are oriented toward logical decision making because their academic background comes mainly from cultural sciences or social sciences. The hypotheses related to the relationship between creativity and performance were supported, including marketing performance and feedback from organization and client, It reveals that creativity is highly related to the performance in the ad agencies. This research intend to delve into the relationship between psychological attributes and creativity for the advertising planners with particular concern to what factors influence performance including creativity. From the practical point of view, this research results hope to shed a new perspective on the development of recruiting and training system for ad agencies or advertising related jobs.
