MMORPG 아바타의 젠더 인식 변화 및 남녀 비교 연구

MMORPG의 역사는 텍스트기반의 80년대 초 MUD에서 출발하여 2000년 초기 국내 온라인 게임의 기반을 창출한 리니지를 거쳐 최근 커스터마이징의 새로운 변화를 보여준 아이온까지 많은 기술의 변화를 보여주었다. 이러한 기술의 변화와 맞물려 지금까지 남성 중심의 게임에서 변화하여 특히 MMORPG에서 여성 플레이어의 이용이 증가하고 있다. 플레이어 타깃층의 변화는 가상공간에서의 새로운 젠더 인식의 변화로 확장되었다. 이 같은 기술 변화에 따른 플레이어의 인식 변화를 이해하는 것은 성공적인 게임디자인을 연출하는 데 주요요인으로 제기되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가상공간에서의 젠더 인식의 변화와 남녀 간의 인식 차이 아바타를 구성하는 주 캐릭터와 부 캐릭터의 젠더 선택 현황과 동기 분류에 대해 연구하였다. 플레이어의 내면적 심리 상태와 그 유형을 분류하고 게임 디자인의 연출하는 데 기초 자료로 활용될 것이며 가상공간에서의 심리적 현상의 분석에 의미 있는 연구가 될 것이다. Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPGs) have shifted many faces of technology started from text oriented RPG Multi-User Dungeon (MUD) in early 80th through MMORPG'Lineage' that have became the Korea's online games local market foundation in early 2000 to a new innovational development in avatar customizing process that has shown in recent MMORPG AION. Along with this technological advancement as male oriented game play has also shifted female players demographic increases in its market. This phenomenon of player target shift has expanded new perception of gendering in the Virtual World. According to this technology enhancement would require players recognition of gendering that in fact it will effect the notion of successful game design. This paper has researched the notion of gendering recognition shift its perceptional difference between both sex and demographics & motivation of customizing selection of gender in both main and sub characters. This research findings would give foundation of studying players inner psychology effect and classifying the types of player style within gender aspect of game design as well as to understanding the psychological phenomenon that are showing in the Virtual World.
A Study on the Possibility as a Site for Geopark in Korea : Byeonsanbando National Park

The UNESCO`s earth science division has developed the geoparks program to recognize earth scientific heritagesites worldwide. To respond to this movement, I suggest Byeonsanbando National Park (BNP) as the first geopark inKorea and provide, at the same time, a line of evidence supporting the designation of geopark. BNP has the bestqualifications with geological, geomorphological, ecological, and cultural resources. In Chaeseokgang and Jeokbyukgang,there are many geological and geomorphological resources attracting the scientific importance. In addition, BNP has abronze bell of Naesosa and Taeungjon hall of Kaeamsa. To be designated a geopark by UNESCO, a management plan ofgeotourism will be required in addition to the geological, geomorphological, ecological and cultural resources, whichshould be prepared by the Korea National Parks Service and related local government authority. If the above-mentionedconditions are met completely, Korea would enter the global network of geoparks for the first time.......... Control Strategy to Reduce Tracking Error by Impulsive Torques at the Joint

The study reported deals with investigating the feasibility of control strategy for a serial rigid link manipulator that applies impulsive torques at the joints. The strategy is illustrated for a planar three rigid link manipulator. An impulse-based concept which uses successive torque impulses on rigid link as the controller for motion correction was introduced. This control strategy was tested over the entire trajectory to demonstrate that the tracking error could be reduced effectively. The best condition for minimizing the tracking error with the least impulse input at each joint is investigated by considering one design and one operating parameter. The first was the damping in the system, and the second was the sampling time during operation. The results show that this approach can provide useful guidance for the design and control of robot manipulators that require minimum impulse feedback for accurate tracking.
