Music Therapy for Children with Disabilities in School Setting

Music therapy has been actively implemented in school setting for students with special needs. Musical activities can assist students to gain functioning skills in various developmental domains by structuring the musical tasks and application. The purpose of this paper was to examine historical overview of the music therapy in school setting and special education in accordance with educational program and related legislative actions. The paper also examined the effect Individualized Education Plan (IEP) had on music therapy and how it facilitated music therapy or adapted music education to be implemented in educational plans for each students with various needs. The paper concluded with the suggestion that active educational and therapeutic use of music should be encouraged in school setting since music can facilitate academic learning, socialization, communication, and behavioral skills of the students.

摘果한 사과 廢棄物의 利用에 關한 硏究

The experiments on manufacturing of apple Jam, Jelly, Wine and Vinegar were carried out to know the possibility of practical utilization of small and green apples form fruit thinning in early stage. Green fruits thinned out on June 30, July 15 and July 30 were used. The results were summarized as fallows. 1. The quality of jam made from Yellow delicious apple was net much different among the fruit thinned on June 30, July 15 and July 30. In Starkrimson apple, the jam made from the fruits thinned on June 30 was markedly inferior to those on July 15 and July 30. The quality of jam manufactured from the green fruits of Yellow delicious apple was superior to those of Starkrimson apple. 2. In both cultivars of Yellow delicious and Starkrimson, the quality of jelly made from green fruits on Jul7· 30 was much better than those on June 30 and July 15. The quality of the jelly from Yellow delicious was markedly superior to that from Starkrimson apple. 3. The content of alcohol during fermentation reached to the highest at the 10th day from the beginning and decreased slowly since then. Among the apples taken at different dates of fruit thinning there was no significant difference in alcohol content. Therefore, it is considered that green fruit thinned later than June 30 can be used for alcohol production. 4. The total acid content during acetic acid fermentation gradually increased as the fermentation prcoeeded. There was no significant difference in total acid content among the fruits thinned on three different dates. Therefore, we can consider that the green apple thinned later than dune 30 can be used for vinegar production.

퍼망간네이트-옥살산에 의한 아크릴아마이드 수용성중합에서의 첨가제 효과

The polymerization of Acrylamide initiated by MnO4-H2C2O4 redox pair has been studied in aqueous media at 35±0.2℃ in nitrogen armosphere. The rate of polymerization is independent of activator concentration (2×10-3 to 4.5×10-3 mole/1) expect at very high (above 6.3×10-3 mole/1) concentration. The initial rate of polymerization has been found to be proportional to nearly 1.17 power of low catalyst concentration (2.3×10-4 to 6.25×10-4 mole/1) and nearly the first power of low monomer concentration (1.47×10-3 to 3.3×10-3 mole/1). The overall energy of activation has been found to be 10.99kcal/mole within the temperature range 30-50℃. The effects of various additives have been studied. Organic solvents and salts depress the initial rate but small amounts of manganous salts(MnSO4, MnCl2) increase the initial rate to a considerable extent. A complexing agent(NaF) and anionic and cationic surfactants show marked influence on the rate of polymerization. The intrinsic viscosity in aqueous acrylamide solution at 30±0.1℃ was 1.01 and the molecular weight of the polyacrylamide was 63,900.

Propylthiouracil에 의한 중증 급성간염 1예

PTU에 의한 간염의 발생은 매우 드물게 발생하는 것으로 알려져 있으나 저자들은 Graves씨 병으로 진단 받고 propylthiouracil 투여를 받고있던 환자에서 중증의 급성 간염이 발생한 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Propylthiouracil is widely used to treat patients with hyperthyroidism. This drug has been associated with severe hepatotoxicity rarely. We presented the case of jaundice and profound liver dysfunction from a 23-year old woman treated with propylthiouracil for hyperthyroidism. Viral, metabolic, and autoimmune liver disease could be excluded and liver biopsy revealed a pattern of acute hepatitis. After discontinuing the drug, there was a progressive resolution of hepatic symptoms and decrease in biochemical data of the liver. Despite propylthiouracil induced hepatitis in rare case, patients receiving propylthiouracil are exposed to develope severe hepatotoxicity. Therefore it might be advisable to monitor level of the transaminase on regular base from patients receiving propylthiouracil.

조류의 혈관벽에 분포한 탄력섬유의 조직학적 연구

The Histological Observation of the Quantity of the elastic fibers contained in the Intima, internal elastic membrane, media, external elastic membrane and adventitia have been using two kinds of arteries from the neck and thigh arteries in the five species of the rare wild birds. The following results were obtained. 1. The development of the elastic fibers in the intima of the artery was all very poor in the neck and thigh arteries of each wild birds. 2. The development of the elastic fibers in the media of the artery was all very good in the neck and thigh arteries of each wild birds. We could observed sheet-like five to six elastic layered and lamellar units in the media. 3. Scattered irregular fibers was observed in the adventitia of the all kinds of birds and we could observed high development elastic fibers in the external elastic membrane. 4. The development of the elastic fibers was much higher femoral artery than common carotid artery of the all kinds of birds.

Observation of the elastic fibers of the superior Cerebellar artery walls in adults rats has been carried out by administering a high fat diet for 45days and Peucedani Japonici Radix extract Administration. The results obtained are summarized as follows ; 1. The development of the elastic fibers in the superior cerebellar artery walls was much poor in the high fat diet group than in the other Diet groups. 2. The development of the elastic fibers in the tunica media was rich in all experimental groups. But scattered irregular fibers and fine and cut elastic fibers were obesrved in the tunica media of all groups. 3. External elastic membranes and adventitia were not observed in any of the aroups. 4. Highest development of elastic fibers was observed in the groups Ⅰ>IV>Normal>III>II>V> which were standard diet and Peucedani japonici Radix extract administration groups. 5 There was high development of the elastic fibers in groups fed the Peucedani japonici Radix extract.

This paper studies Kyoˇhwoˇn's local gentry policy. Kyoˇhwoˇn's was a military officer in the Silla Dynastry. He could stay in power by means of strong military force, through which he could also exercise his despotic sovereignty as an absolute monarch. Accordingly, in ruling the neighboring areas, he took a policy of conquering the local gentry rather than that of pursuing a coalition with them. Seizing power in 892, Kyoˇhwoˇn's at first pursued a coalition with the local gentry unitil the early half of the first decade of the 10th century. During this period, he was allied with Pak Yoˇng-gyu and Kim Ch'ong , the powerful leader of the local gentry in the Sunchoˇn area, and Chihwoˇn, the leader of the local gentry in the Muju area. After transferring his capital from Muju to Choˇnju Kyoˇhwoˇn also got coalescent with the local gentry of the Choˇnju area. From the later half of the first decade of the 10th century, however, Kyoˇhwoˇn changed his policy in which he primarily tried to absorb the local gentry through military conquest. By the end of 920s, he could annex not a few local gentries by waging war. But the local gentries resisted Kyoˇhwoˇn when his military campaign deviated into pillage in which his soldiers plundered people of their food and their lives as well. As a consequence, Kyoˇhwoˇn could not secure support and cooperation from the local gentry. In a world, Kyoˇhwoˇn's policy to conquer the local gentry through military force could not work any more. Kyoˇhwoˇn should have gained support and cooperation from the local gentry for this ambition to unify the Later Three Kingdoms. Yet he could not overcome the limitations of his origin as a military officer, thus leaving his dream unfulfilled.

QLF를 이용한 항우식 제품의 인공우식 재광화 효과에 대한 연구

본 연구는 항우식 제품인 저농도의 불소 양치액(500 ppm NaF)과 Casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate(CPP-ACP)를 포함하는 치아 연고,그리고 이 두 제품을 같이 사용했을 경우,인공 우식 병소의 재광화 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 제3대구치 협면에 인공우식을 유발하였고,시편을 16개씩 4군으로 나누어,28일 동안 매일 2회 다음과 같은 항우식 제품을 시편에 처리하였고,pH 순환 시스템을 적용하였다. 1군: 대조군(무처치) 2군: Tooth Mousse^(ⓡ) (GC Co. Japan) 3군: 치카치카^(ⓡ)(삼일제약. 한국) 4군: 치카치카^(ⓡ)+ Tooth Mousse^(ⓡ) 무기질 소실량(ΔQ)의 장기적인 변화를 Quantitative light-induced fluorescence (QLF)를 이용하여 관찰하여 다음과 같은결과를 얻었다. 1. ΔQ는 1군에서는 28일동안 유의성 있는 차이를 보이지 않았고,2군과 3군에서는 처치전에 비해 14일부터 유의성 있는 증가를 보였으며,4군에서는 7일부터 유의성 있는 증가를 보였다. 2. ΔQ는 1군 < 2군,3군 < 4군 순이었다. 3. ΔQ는 1군과 비교시 2군은 7일,3군과 4군은 3일부터 유의성 있는 증가를 보였고,2군은 3군과 전 기간 동안 유의차가 없었다. 4군은 2군과 3군에 비해 28일에 유의성 있는 증가를 보였다. 4. 모든 군에서 재광화 속도는 점차 감소하였다. The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the remineralization effect of commercially available anticariogenic products, exactly low level fluoride mouthrinse(500 ppm NaF), tooth cream with Casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) and fluoride mouthhnse plus tooth cream on artificial caries lesion. Artificial caries lesion was induced at the buccal surface of permanent third molar and the specimens were then divided (16 specimens/group) into four group. Twice a day during 28 days specimens of each group were treated with a commercially anticari.ogen.ic product as follows and applied to the pH cycling system. Group 1: control group (No treatment) Group 2: Tooth Mousse^(ⓡ) (GC Co. Japan) Group 3: chikachika^(ⓡ) (Samil Co. Korea) Group 4: chikachika^(ⓡ) + Tooth Mousse^(ⓡ) The long-term change of mineral loss(ΔQ) was evaluated by quantitative 1ight-induced fluorescence(QLF) and the following results were obtained: 1. ΔQ of Group 1 was not noticed statistically significant during 28 days comparing that prior to treatment. There was a statistically significant increase in ΔQ of Group 2 and 3 since 14 days. So was in ΔQ of Group 4 since 7 days. 2. ΔQ was increased as follows: Group 1< Group 2, 3< Group 4. 3. Comparing with Group 1, Group 2 was a statistically significant increase since 7 days and Group 3 and 4 were since 3 days. Comparing Group 2 with 3, there was not noticed statistically significant during whole duration. Group 4 was significantly higher than Group 2 and 3 after 28 days. 4. All groups demonstrated a decrease in the rate of remineraUzation as time goes on.
