        In the direct internal reforming type molten carbonate fuel cell, alkali carbonates used as electrolyte in the cell are transported to reforming catalyst of which activity drastically decreases. In our previous work, the deactivation of the nickel catalyst was studied with increasing the amount of added lithium. Unexpectedly, the increase of activity was observed with a small amount of lithium less than 1wt%. The results of TPR, XRD and chemisorption showed no significant difference between the fresh catalyst and the Li-added one, implying that lithium did not cause the change of morphological property of the supported nickel. To elucidate the effect of lithium the methanation of CO was applied to the catalysts, which was considered as the reverse reaction of the key elementary step of methane steam reforming. It can be seen by an online mass spectrometer that the small injection of CO/H₂ mixture into the Li-added catalyst reactor at 650 ℃ showed the longer tail of produced methane than into the fresh one. The delay should be originated from the effect of lithium, which determined the overall rate on the Li-added catalyst.

        The deactivation of reforming catalyst in the DIR-MCFC was reported to be affected by dispersion, loading amounts, kind of support and so on. In this research, we checked the resistivities of catalysts prepared by the different methods, and examined the effect of liquid phase oxidation. The oxidized catalyst in a liquid phase showed the increased activity and dispersion even though the nickel species was supported by deposition-precipitation method. In order to investigate the role of the oxidation, TGA, TPR and XRD analyses were conducted. The increase in activity was ascribed to the strong metal-support interaction which was induced by liquidphase oxidation.

        The purpose of this study is to search for the factory of protocol and develop an effective physical activity program for mental retardation. For this study, many kinds of contents were investigated and generalized physical activity program. The conclusions of this study are as follow; First, component element of physical activity for mental retardation, can be classified into four kinds of development such as motor skill, advancement of human knowledge, emotionally stable, and sociality, physical activity improves the physical strength of mental retardation and physical build. It also develops advancement of human knowledge, emotionally stable, and sociality. Second, program structure can be classified in to four kinds of contents such as equipment, instructor, teaching method and program. We have to prepare the appropriate equipment with considering their abilities and age to offer physical activity. Instructor also should have experiences in the field of mental retardation such as understanding their specific character and knowledge of the various physical activity program. Finally, physical activity program require that the program should be made of sensory-exercise, slackness-exercise, physical strength-exercise, motor skill, rhythm-exercise and swimming.

        Alginate lyase from Chlorostma xanthostigma was stabilized in vitro by optimizing buffer ingradients. The extraction buffer consists of 25mM acetate, pH 5.5, 20mM MgCl₂, 100mM NaCl and 3mM PMSF. The alginate lyase extracted with this buffer gave a decay rate of less then 1% per hr at 30℃ for at least 6h. In vitro instability of alginate lyase may be due to proteolytic degradation.

        Lime is one of the world's most useful chemicals and manufactured in various types of kilns, using various fuels. Quicklimes vary in reactivity with water due to variations in the time and temperature calcining process and type of kiln used. Careful attention and control of time and temperature in the calcining process is necessary to insure a highly reactive lime. Excess time and temperature will cause the lime to be over burned. The highest reactivity of quicklime is obtained by calcination of limestone in the particle size of 0.1cm∼2cm, calcination temperature of 1000℃, calcination time 90min. It was found by the scanning electron microscopes that pores of quick lime is reducted if the soft burned quick lime is heated continually.

        AKD(alkyl ketene dimer) used widely as a neutral sizing agent is produced industrially by halogenization of stearic acid followed by dimerization of alkyl ketene. In the present work, to suppress the byproduct of hydrochloric acid and to improve reaction pathway. AKD was prepared through of ketene intermediate by dehydration of stearic acid in gas phase using reaction with silanol on silica as active sites of the catalyst SBA-15 showed the highest activity due to the large and open tubular pores. It was found that main products were dimer and trimer. Our goal of the present work was to increase of the selectivity for the dimer.
