함침법에 의한 Gd_(2)O_(3):Eu 형광체 나노입자의 합성

In order to improve the performance of red emitting phosphors for plasma display panel(PDP), the Gd_(2)O_(3):Eu phosphors were synthesized using a pulp precursor. The particle size is in the range between 200 and 500nm. The particle size and morphology was observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). Under 147nm excitation, Gd_(2)O_(3):Eu phosphor exhibits a strong red emission around 615nm due to the well-known (5)^D_(o)→(7)^F_(J) transition(J=0, 1, 2, …) of Eu^(3+) ions. The monoclinic Gd_(2)O_(3):Eu nano particles show a quantum efficiency of 83% and a superior color chromaticity.

A patient with uncontrollable postoperative renal hemorrhage was successfully treated by selective injection of gelfoam into the anterior inferior segmental branch of right renal artery. Follow up arteriography was done 16 days later. It revealed persistent occlusion of the bleeding vessels. This method is a simple effective procedure in cases of renal hemorrhage to diverse etiology without responsive management.

경량골재 콘크리트에 현무암의 재활용 방안연구

현무암을 콘크리트 골재로 이용하여, 환경오염 방지와 에너지 절감 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 반요인실험법을 사용하여 현무암을 굵은골재에 일정한 비율로 치환한 콘크리트의 최적배합설계 제시를 위한 예비 실험에서 현무암의 굵은골재 치환율, 물-시멘트비, 잔골재율, 슬럼프와 같은 주요 변수와 변수 사이의 2차 상관관계를 파악하였다. 예비실험을 한 결과 현무암을 굵은골재로 100%까지 치환했을 때 현무암을 혼입한 콘크리트의 강도 발현에 가장 중요한 변수는 물-시멘트비로 분석되었고, 현무암의 굵은골재 치환율은 강도 발현에 거의 영향이 없는 것으로 분석되어 현무암을 콘크리트의 굵은골재로 대체할 수 있다는 것을 알게 되었다. 변수 사이의 2차 상관관계에서는 현무암의 굵은골재 치환율과 잔골재율의 상관관계가 콘크리트의 강도 발현에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 목표압축강도를 만족하는 현무암을 혼입한 콘크리트의 최적배합설계는 현무암의 굵은골재 치환율, 물-시멘트비, 잔골재율에 관하여 제시하였다. The waste basalt might be used in concrete aggregate, saving energy and protecting environment. An half-factorial experiments were performed with the primarary variable such as water-cement ratio, waste basalt substitution ratio, fine aggregate ratio and slump as a preliminary study for optimum mix design of concrete. The preliminary study show that the water-cement ratio is the most important factor to the concrete strength, followed by slump. The substitute of waste basalt up to 70% has little infulence, indicating that it can substitute the coarse aggregate without damaging the Concrete strength. The interaction between waste basalt substitution ratio and fine aggregate ratio was most significant to the concrete strength among the 2-way interaction variable. Only compressive strength affect to the formation of optimum mix design area as target compressive strengh becomes bigger. Optimum mix designs of concrete incorporating waste basalt, satisfying the target responses, were proposed in terms of waste basalt substitution ratio, water-cement ratio and fine aggregate ratio.

The purposes of this paper are to estimate extreme water levels according to the return period from statistical analysis of annual maximum extreme seawater level data observed at 12 coastal stations in Korean peninsula by applying the Gumbel and Weibull distributions and to establish reasonable design water levels for coastal structures around the Korean peninsula. The result shows that the approximated higher high water level and the lower low water level, which have been used as design water levels, are underestimated even than the water levels of the return period 10 years. Reasonable design water levels according to the importance and the function of structures are proposed in the result.

When glancing toward the Korean novels of the Colonial Period, one of the noteworthy phenomena is that motives of arrangements, escorts, and imprisonments by the police had increased greatly from 1930, compared to the former years, which the cause of most of these cases were known to be involved with class consciousness. This paper aims at examining closely the literary and historical significance of these works. Analyzing the works of that time, conclusion were formed shown as below. Firstly, the manifestative phenomena of the imaginary imprisonment can be regarded as reflection of the common way of life in the colonial period when freedom was not allowed. To be concrete, it can be regarded as a reflection of the suppression of thought and situation of arrests. Secondly, in most of the works the pattern of 'crime and punishment' is totally in-versed. The major characters are pictured as a sufferer and a martyr who respond to the call of the epoch. Here we can find the true intention of the authors. Thirdly, therefore, the major characters both represent the reality of the colony in which the invader functions as imitative nation, and stand for symbolic individuals that resist to that power. And so, the place which they were imprisoned also represents both the reality and the special literary decoration which connotes the political tension and friction that resist to the reality. Lastly, counter lighting the ousted and punished class consciousness by forming the experience of arrangment-escort-imprisonment these novels are important measures of helping the covert extension of proletarian novels. In other words, these novels, in the situation of severe suppression of thought, by establishing a moment of internalizing the class consciousness works as a inner chain linking the former combative novels and the latter conversed novels, and even the interconnections of the ideology before and after the Independence.

단독주택의 외관형태와 이미지평가에 관한 연구

This study analyzes the types of external forms of detached housing buildings, and conducts the S.D test with it and is to structurize the image of external form of buildings. Types of 24 detached housing buildings are analyzed in this vein and the results are as follows: (1) Mass type in the primary cognitive factor of building is mostly simple or multiple box type. (2) As a result of analyzing the secondary cognitive factor of building, horizontal type is most and it shows that it is the favorable structure in the stability of form. Roof shape and side pattern are mostly gable and plat roofs and it is known that traditional gable roof and flat roof influenced by modern construction are shown in housing. (3) To examine the tertiary cognitive factor, surface shape is mostly flat type and it shows a little monotonous composition. Also finishing materials are concrete and brick. S.D test of detached houses doesn't show the extreme psychological test disposition and does somewhat affirmative evaluation. As a result of conducting the factor analysis based on S.D test, nine psychological factors including 「originality」, 「pleasantness」, 「harmony」, 「ornamentation」, 「openness」, 「balance」, 「rhythm」, 「stability」 and 「orientation」. These can be called psychological factor axis which can evaluate the modern detached house.

PDP용 (Y,Gd)₂O₃ Eu 적색 형광체의 합성

In order to improve the performance of red emitting phosphors for plasma display panel(PDP), the (Y,Gd)₂O₃ Eu phosphors were synthesized using impregnation method with polymer precursors and studied using SEM and VUV photoluminescence spectrometer Under 147 nm excitation, (Y,Gd)₂O₃ Eu phosphor exhibits a strong red emission around 615 nm The particle size is in the range between 150 and 200 nm The emission intensity and particle size of powders were controlled by sintering temperature and raw material composition As a result, we have found that particle size was very uniform and PL luminance characteristic was excellent about twice than commercial red phosphor

In order to improve the luminescent efficiency we have synthesized the Ca₃MgS₁₂O_(8):Eu phosphors for UV LEDs (Light Emittine Diodes) by sol-gel technique Advantages of this technique are the homogeneity and purity of gels and relatively low sintering temperatures Such advantages are important for the preparation of monolithic products When the phosphor prepared by sol-gel technique reaction factors such as pH condition Rw drying temperature were affect the luminescent intensity particle size and morphology of final product Therefore we attempt to control these reaction factors in order to improve the luminescent efficiency of phosphors for UV LED

수술 전 진단된 충수돌기 점액류종 1례

Primary unruptured appendiceal mucocele is a rare disease. It is very difficult to diagnose preoperatively because of the rarity of classical symptoms and low incidence. Usually it is discovered incidentally during abdominal ultrasonography(US), computed tomography(CT), or appendectomy for acute appendicitis. If untreated, one type of mucoceles may rupture producing a potentially fatal entity known as pseudomyxoma peritonei, therefore preoperative diagnosis is very important. With the advent of colonoscopy, abdominal US and CT, it has been possible to preoperatively diagnose mucocele of appendix. We experienced a case of appendiceal mucocele in a 60 year-old woman who had symptoms of lower abdominal discomfort and right lower quadrant abdominal pain, and it was diagnosed preoperatively by colonoscopy, abdominal US and CT. So we present this case with review of literature.
