Process Optimization for Design of Duplex Universal Joint Fork using Unequal Thickness Flash
Chengliang Hu,Fan Zeng,Zhen Zhao,Zengjun Guo 한국정밀공학회 2015 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol. No.
To avoid defect formation, a two-step forging process for duplex fork was developed and optimized using an unequal thickness flash. The large cross-sectional difference between the different parts of the complex shape of the duplex fork made it difficult to forge. Crack defects formed during initial forging were observed and analyzed by finite element simulation, and the metal flow lines and velocity distributions on the main cross section were studied. A non-uniform velocity distribution with a large difference in the dangerous area and large amount of oxide scale most likely caused the crack defects. An optimized two-step forging process was developed, preupsetting was used to remove the oxide scale, and final forging using a die with an unequal flash gutter depth was used to obtain a reasonable velocity distribution. The effect of different process parameters on the optimized forging process was determined. The parameters included the pre-upsetting stroke, the friction factor, the workpiece mass, and the offset of the preform, and the results were used to improve the process stability. A duplex fork of acceptable quality and without any cracks was forged in successful trial production using the optimized process in the forging plant.

Hydrotalcite (HTC), a typical layered compound, is a promising adsorbent for removal of organic pollutants. To partition azo dye from aqueous solution, Mg-Al HTCs intercalated with dodecanoic acid (DA) modifier, DAHTCs,were prepared by ion exchange and calcination-rehydration methods. The structures of HTCs and DAHTCs were characterized by powder XRD and FT-IR techniques. The introduction of DA broadened the spacing of interlayers and provided more space for ion exchange. The effects of pH value, contact time, adsorbent amount, temperature and different intercalated modifiers on the adsorption of azo dye onto HTCs and DAHTCs were determined. The optimum pH of uptake was around 3.0 and all the lower or higher pH values proved to decrease the adsorption properties. The pseudo-second-order model was found to best describe the adsorption dynamics of all adsorbents. Meanwhile, the size and polarity of intercalated modifiers might be crucial for adsorption of azo dye.

Endophytes colonize tissues of healthy host plants and play a crucial role in plant growth and development. However, little attention has been paid to the endophytes of tuber crops such as cassava, which is used as a staple food by approximately 800 million people worldwide. This study aimed to elucidate the diversity and composition of endophytic bacterial and fungal communities in different cassava cultivars using high-throughput sequencing. Although no significant differences in richness or diversity were observed among the different cassava cultivars, the community compositions were diverse. Two cultivars (SC124 and SC205) tolerant to root rot exhibited similar community compositions, while two other cultivars (SC10 and SC5), which are moderately and highly susceptible to root rot, respectively, harboured similar community compositions. Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, and Ascomycota dominated the endophyte assemblages, with Weissella, Serratia, Lasiodiplodia, Fusarium, and Diaporthe being the predominant genera. The differentially abundant taxonomic clades between the tolerant and susceptible cultivars were mainly rare taxa, such as Lachnoclostridium_5, Rhizobium, Lampropedia, and Stenotrophomonas. These seemed to be key genera that affected the susceptibility of cassava to root rot. Moreover, the comparison of KEGG functional profiles revealed that ‘Environmental adaptation’ category was significantly enriched in the tolerant cultivars, while ‘Infectious diseases: Parasitic’ category was significantly enriched in the susceptible cultivars. The present findings open opportunities for further studies on the roles of endophytes in the susceptibility of plants to diseases.
COMBINED CONTROL OF A REGENERATIVE BRAKING AND ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Dong Peng,Y. Zhang,ChengLiang Yin,JianWu Zhang 한국자동차공학회 2008 International journal of automotive technology Vol.9 No.6
Most parallel hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) employ both a hydraulic braking system and a regenerative braking system to provide enhanced braking performance and energy regeneration. A new design of a combined braking control strategy (CBCS) is presented in this paper. The design is based on a new method of HEV braking torque distribution that makes the hydraulic braking system work together with the regenerative braking system. The control system meets the requirements of a vehicle longitudinal braking performance and gets more regenerative energy charge back to the battery. In the described system, a logic threshold control strategy (LTCS) is developed to adjust the hydraulic braking torque dynamically, and a fuzzy logic control strategy (FCS) is applied to adjust the regenerative braking torque dynamically. With the control strategy, the hydraulic braking system and the regenerative braking system work synchronously to assure high regenerative efficiency and good braking performance, even on roads with a low adhesion coefficient when emergency braking is required. The proposed braking control strategy is steady and effective, as demonstrated by the experiment and the simulation.
The Functional Properties of Preserved Eggs: From Anti-cancer and Anti-inflammatory Aspects
Changyi Mao,Zhihui Yu,Chengliang Li,Yongguo Jin,Meihu Ma 한국축산식품학회 2018 한국축산식품학회지 Vol.38 No.3
Preserved egg, a kind of alkaline-fermented food, is a traditional egg product in China. Here, we investigated the nutritional functions of preserved eggs by in vivo and in vitro experiments. The results of in vivo studies showed that the levels of triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TCHO) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol/high density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C/HDL-C) were significantly decreased (p<0.05) in the liver of rats treated with preserved eggs. Meanwhile, the levels of two important cancer markers, interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), were also significantly decreased (p<0.05) in treated rats. In vitro studies were performed on Caco-2 cells, a human epithelial colorectal adenocarcinoma cell line. It demonstrated that the gastrointestinal (GI) digests of preserved eggs significantly accelerated (p<0.05) the apoptosis by upregulating caspase-3 in the Caco-2 cells. Besides, after treated with preserved eggs, the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of preserved eggs digests to Caco-2 cells was 5.75 mg/mL, indicating the significant inhibition of cell proliferation provided by preserved eggs (p<0.05). The results shown in this study demonstrated that preserved eggs may be a novel functional food involved with antilipemic, anti-inflammatory activity as well as the effect on accelarating the apoptosis of Caco-2 cells.
Antioxidant and Cholinesterase Inhibitory Activities of Antarctic Krill Eupausia superba
Yoon, Na-Young,Xie, Chengliang,Shim, Kil-Bo,Kim, Yeon-Kye,Lee, Doo-Seog,Yoon, Ho-Dong The Korean Society of Fisheries and Aquatic Scienc 2011 Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Vol.14 No.4
The antioxidant and cholinesterase inhibitory activities of methanol, pretanol, and acetone extracts of Eupausia superba were investigated and their bioactivities compared. The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2'-azino-bis[3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid] ($ABTS^+$) radical-scavenging activities and reducing power assays were used to determine antioxidant activities, and Ellman's colorimetric methods were applied to evaluate cholinesterase inhibitory activity. Although all extracts were positive, Acetone extract of E. superba showed the highest activities. However, these showed moderate or no inhibitory activity against butyrylcholinesterase. Moreover, the total carotenoid contents of the organic solvent extracts followed the same order as their antioxidant and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activities. These results suggest that E. superba is a potential source of natural antioxidants and cholinesterase inhibitors.
Current Situation of Low-Carbon Finance in China
CHEN Jinlong,WANG Chengliang 동아대학교 동아시아연구원 2011 동아시아 : 비교와 전망 Vol.10 No.1
This paper does a research on the current situation of low-carbon finance development in China from prospects of low-carbon finance policy system, carbon finance market system and carbon finance organizational service system, which enable us to draw conclusions as: (1)there are very few matching financial policies though the macro policy is generally in favor of carbon finance; (2)because the carbon finance market is at the starting stage, its development is imperfect in all aspects; (3) the carbon finance organizational service must be improved in many aspects , since few products and services of carbon finance is yet provided in the sector of finance except for banking and securities.
