        Monte Carlo Method and Quantile Regression for Uncertainty Analysis of Wind Power Forecasting Based on Chaos-LS-SVM

        In the paper, the chaos least squares support vector machine algorithm (Chaos-LS-SVM) is applied. To conduct uncertainty analysis of wind power forecasting, two forecasting algorithms of the probabilistic uncertainty analysis based on the Monte Carlo method and the quantile regression analysis based on Chaos-LS-SVM are discussed. The effectiveness and superiority of the two uncertainty analysis methods in the confidence level of 95%, 90%, and 85% are discussed by simulation analysis, and the confidence interval is given in the corresponding confidence level. The prediction interval coverage probability (PICP) and the prediction interval normalized average width (PINAW) of the two uncertainty methods are compared. In the time scale of 1h-ahead, 4h-ahead, and 6h-ahead, the probabilistic uncertainty analysis based on the Monte Carlo method is suitable. In the time scale of 24h-ahead, the quantile regression analysis based on Chaos-LS-SVM is superior.

      • Dietary Lactobacillus plantarum GB805 supplementation improves growth performance and nutrient digestibility in weaning pigs

        <P>A total of 60 weaned pigs with initial body weight (BW) of 8.51 ± 0.42 kg (28 d of age) were randomly divided into 2 groups of 30 each consisted of 6 pens with 2 gilts and 3 borrows and supplemented (treatment) 5.3×108 cfu/kg Lactobacillus plantarum GB805 in addition to basal diet offered during d 0 to 14 and d 15 to 42 (control). During the total trial period or different phases of trial, pigs fed L. plantarum diet had a higher (P less than 0.05) ADG, ADFI and feed efficiency. At the end of experiment, dietary L. plantarum supplementation improved (P less than 0.05) the apparent total tract digestibility of dry matter, nitrogen and the fecal Lactobacillus populations (P less than 0.05) while the fecal E.coli populations were decreased (P less than 0.05). In conclusion, dietary supplementation of L. plantarum GB805 had positive influence on growth rate, nutrient digestibility and gut microbial balance and its supplementation recommended to weaning pigs.</P>

        Analysis of Local Surface Plasmon Resonance in Multilayered Au/Ag/Graphene Nanoshells

        "The localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) properties of Au/Ag/graphene nanoshells are studied by discrete dipole approximation (DDA). The coupled resonance wavelengths show a remarkable dependence on the graphene thickness as well as refractive index of the surrounding medium. The resonance wavelengths of Au/Ag/graphene nanoshells red-shift as the thickness of the graphene layer is increased, when the radii of the Au core and Ag interlayer are 40 nm and 45nm, respectively. Specifically, the longer wavelength red-shifts from 540 nm to 740 nm when the refractive index varies from 1.25 to 2.05. "

        Analysis of Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance in Ag/ITO/CdS/SiO2 Multilayered Nanostructured Composite

        Multilayered nanoshells have attracted much attention due to their unique optical, electronic and magnetic properties. In this work, numerical calculation using discrete dipole approximation (DDA) is conducted to investigate the quad-layered metal nanoshell consisting of a particle with a dielectric silica (SiO2) core, inner cadium sulfide (CdS) shell, middle indium tin oxide (ITO) shell and outer metal silver (Ag) shell. The phenomenon is interpreted by plasmon hybridization theory and the Ag–ITO–CdS–SiO2 multilayered nanoshells are studied by extinction spectra of localized surface plasmon resonance. The variation in the spectrum peak with nanoparticle thickness and refractive index of the surrounding medium is derived. The electric field enhancement contour around the nanoparticles under illumination is analyzed at the plasmon resonance wavelength. The |ω-->, |ω+->, and |ω-+> modes red-shift with the refractive index of the surrounding medium and increase in the layer thickness causes either blue-shift or red-shift as shown by the extinction spectra. The mechanism of the red-shift or blue-shift is discussed. The |ω--> blue-shifts and furthermore, the |ω-+> and |ω+-> modes of the Ag coated multilayered nanostructure are noticeable by comparing the extinction efficiency spectra of the Au–ITO–CdS–SiO2 and Ag–ITO–CdS–SiO2 multilayered nanoshells.

        Evaluation of insecticidal activity of the essential oil of Allium chinense G. Don and its major constituents against Liposcelis bostrychophila Badonnel

        Water-distilled essential oil from the dried bulbs of Allium chinense (Liliaceae) was analyzed by gaschromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). Eighteen compounds, accounting for 98.4% of the total oil,were identified and the main components of the essential oil of A. chinense were methyl allyl trisulfide(30.7%), dimethyl trisulfide (24.1%), methyl propyl disulfide (12.8%) and dimethyl disulfide (9.6%) followed bymethyl allyl disulfide (3.4%) and methyl propyl trisulfide (3.6%). The essential oil exhibited contact toxicityagainst the booklice (Liposcelis bostrychophila) with an LC50 value of 441.8 μg/cm2 while the two major constituents,dimethyl trisulfide and methyl propyl disulfide had LC50 values of 153.0 μg/cm2 and 738.0 μg/cm2 againstthe booklice, respectively. The essential oil of A. chinense possessed strong fumigant toxicity against the booklicewith an LC50 value of 186.5 μg/l while methyl allyl trisulfide (LC50=90.4 μg/l) and dimethyl trisulfide (LC50=114.2 μg/l) exhibited stronger fumigant toxicity than methyl propyl disulfide (LC50= 243.4 μg/l) and dimethyldisulfide (LC50= 340.8 μg/l) against the booklice. The results indicated that the essential oil and itsmajor constituentshave potential for development into natural insecticides or fumigants for control of insects in stored grains.

        Effect of qigong exercise and acupressure rehabilitation program on pulmonary function and respiratory symptoms in patients hospitalized with severe COVID-19: A randomized controlled trial

        Background There are several effective complementary and integrative therapies for patients with severe COVID-19. The trial aims to evaluate the efficacy and advantages of the qigong exercise and acupressure rehabilitation program (QARP) for treating patients with severe COVID-19. Methods A total of 128 patients with COVID-19 aged 20 to 80 years were recruited and randomly allocated in a 1:1 ratio to receive QARP plus standard therapies or standard therapies alone. QARP consisted of acupressure therapy and qigong exercise (Liu Zi Jue). The primary outcome was measured with the modified Medical Research Council (mMRC) dyspnea scale, and the secondary outcomes included the modified Borg dyspnea scale (MBS), fatigue Scale-14 (FS-14), patient health questionnaire-9 scale (PHQ-9), duration of respiratory symptoms, and vital signs. Results In total, 128 patients completed the clinical trial. The QARP group and standard therapies group showed significant improvements in vital signs (except blood pressure) and clinical scales compared with baseline (p<0.05). The QARP group also showed more significant improvement in the mMRC dyspnea scale (-1.8 [-2.1, -1.6], p=0.018) and modified Borg dyspnea scale (-3.7 [95% confidence intervals (CI) -4.3, -3.1], p=0.045). The duration of cough was 14.3 days (95% CI 12.6, 16.1, p=0.046), and the length of hospital stay was 18.5 days (95% CI 17.0, 20.0, p=0.042) in the QARP group, both of which were significantly reduced compared with the standard therapies group (p<0.05). Conclusion QARP plus standard therapies improved lung function and symptoms such as dyspnea and cough in patients with severe COVID-19 and shortened the length of hospital stay. Therefore, QARP may be considered an effective treatment option for patients with severe COVID-19.         A Fault Diagnostic Method for Position Sensor of Switched Reluctance Wind Generator

        Fast and accurate fault diagnosis of the position sensor is of great significance to ensure the reliability as well as sensor fault tolerant operation of the Switched Reluctance Wind Generator (SRWG). This paper presents a fault diagnostic scheme for a SRWG based on the residual between the estimated rotor position and the actual output of the position sensor. Extreme Learning Machine (ELM), which could build a nonlinear mapping among flux linkage, current and rotor position, is utilized to design an assembled estimator for the rotor position detection. The data for building the ELM based assembled position estimator is derived from the magnetization curves which are obtained from Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of an SRWG with the structure of 8 stator poles and 6 rotor poles. The effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed fault diagnosis method are verified by simulation at various operating conditions. The results provide a feasible theoretical and technical basis for the effective condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of SRWG.

        融通和會 自得於心

        왕신자(王申子)는 송(宋)나라 말기에서 원(元)나라 중후기까지 살았던 역학자(易學者)이다. 매우 혼란한 시대를 살았던 그는 일생동안 은거생활을 하며 지냈기 때문에 세상에 이름이 잘 알려지지 않았다. 그러나 그는 역학을 연구하는 방면에서 매우 큰 업적을 남겼으며, 그가 쓴《대역집설(大易緝說)》,《춘추류전(春秋類傳)》두 권의 책 중에서 지금까지 남아있는《대역집설》은 송원시기의 학술사상을 이해하는데 소홀히 할 수 없는 매우 중요한 자료이다. 왕신자의 사상에서 드러나는 중요한 특징은 포용성과 비판성이다. 그는 당시의 주류 학술사상뿐만 아니라 모든 학파의 사상을 비판적으로 계승하고 창조적으로 발전시켜 자신의 독특한 역학체계를 형성했다. 그의 이기(理氣)관은 대체적으로 유가와 도가사상을 융합하고 주자학과 육왕학을 아우르는 송·원시기의 학술추세를 드러낸다. 그러나 그는 언제나 일반적인 학술적 관행을 따르지 않고 자신이 공부해서 체득한 독창적인 견해를 제기했다. 어떤 때에는 당시 매우 권위 있는 관점에 대해서도 그대로 받아들이지 않고 자신의 관점으로 이해하고 해석했다. 그는 한편으로 자각적으로 정주이학을 계승했으며, 다른 한편으로 장재(張載)의 기철학을 받아들여 '기(氣)'가 역학사상의 중요한 범주가 되도록 했다. 뿐만 아니라 "무극이 태극이다(無極而太極)."라는 의미를 "무에서 유가 나타난다(無生有)."라는 의미로 이해하고, '태극(太極)'을 '이기합일(理氣合一)'로 이해했으며, 이로 인해 '태극'이 '도(道)'와 '기(器)', '무(無)'와 '유(有)'를 이어주는 연결고리가 되도록 했다. 모든 학파의 관점을 분석하고 헤아려 서로간의 절충과 조화를 시도한 왕신자의 역학사상은 이론적인 방면에서 매우 독창적인 특징을 지닌다고 볼 수 있다. Wang Shenzi(王申子) is a Yi-ology(易学) scholar who lived in the last year of the Song dynasty. His idea of Li-Qi(理气) is special. First of all, You may find a typical type of fusion from Wang's description. For instance, fusion of Confucianism and Daoism, fusion of Zhu-xi(朱熹)and Lu jiu-yuan(陆九渊), fusion of Qi(元氣) and Idea(理). Wang's theory shows us a characteristic of coordination and fusion. Secondly, on account of the independence study feature in Shu(蜀), Wang shen-zi often breaks the routine and makes some of his own points. When Wang talks about the concept "Non Ultimate then Grand Ultimate"(無極而太極), he explains it as "Existing comes from Non-existing"(無生有), the latter being a Daoism proposition. At the same time, Grand Ultimate(太極) is the mixture of Idea and Qi in his theory, and can be interpreted by either Non-existing and Existing viewpoints. This is Wang's original creation.

        Research progress of defective MoS2 for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution

        The potential application of MoS 2 as a potential H 2 precipitation photocatalyst has received widespread attention and is considered a promising alternative to precious metal cocatalysts due to its richness and low cost. However, the catalytic active center of MoS 2 is only along the edge of the MoS 2 layer. Both theoretical and experimental studies have shown that defect engineering can increase the active site of MoS 2 and has superior activity in catalytic reactions. Therefore, this review describes the nature, defect types, and preparation of defective MoS 2 . Due to the recombination of MoS 2 and semiconductor has specifi c interface characteristics, Schottky heterojunctions can provide accelerated charge separation and lower Schottky barriers for photocatalytic applications, they are eff ective photocatalysts. Therefore, the preparation of the defect MoS 2 -supported semiconductor photocatalyst and its application in the photocatalytic water splitting reaction are also introduced. This article’s profound understanding of defects can consolidate basic photocatalysis theory and provide new insights for the rational design of satisfactory defect engineering photocatalytic materials.
