        The Effects of Integration with Suppliers on Mitigating Supply Risk

        공급망 사슬 구조가 복잡해지고 시장에서의 경쟁이 치열해 짐에 따라 공급 위험을 다루는 것에 대해서 많은 관심을 받았다. 본 논문은 공급협력업체와의 통합이 공급 위험을 완화 시키는데 어떠한 효과가 있는지 조사하였다. 또한 본 연구는 공급 위험이 기업의 경영성과에 어떠한 영향을 끼치는 지도 시험해 보았다. 구매와 공급 경영자를 대상으로 한 설문지 조사를 통하여 본 논문은 공급 협력 업체와의 통합이 공급 위험을 완화하는 역할을 한다고 결론을 내렸다. 또한 공급 위험이 공급망 사슬 전체의 경영성과에 부정적인 영향을 준다는 결론을 얻었다. 본 연구는 구매와 공급 담당 경영자들에게 공급 위험에 대한 인식을 널리 알리고 또한 이에 대처하는 전략을 수립하는데 공급 협력 업체와의 통합의 중요성을 강조했다. 그리고 공급 협력 업체와의 통합은 공급에 차질이 생기는 것을 최대한 방지하고 차질이 생기었을 경우 빠르게 대처할 수 있는 능력을 준다. 기업의 경쟁력 강화와 시장의 급속한 변화로 인한 공급망 사슬의 복잡화가 공급 위험을 더욱 더 증가 시키고 있는 가운데 본 논문은 공급협력업체와의 통합이 위험 완화의 하나의 중요한 전략이라고 연구 문헌에 기여하고 있다. 또한 공급이나 구매 경영자들이 인식하고 있는 공급위험이 공급망 사슬의 성과에 부정적인 영향을 주는 것을 실증함으로써 공급 위험 완화는 공급망 사슬 성과를 높이는데 결정적인 역학을 한다는 것을 확인하였다. As the structure of supply chains become complex, dealing with risks in supply chains received a lot of attentions. This research investigates the effects of integration with suppliers on mitigating supply risk. In addition, this research also examines how supply risk affects on supply chain performance. By collecting surveys from purchasing and supply managers, this study helps supply managers to recognize the importance of establishing risk mitigating strategies in the supply chain. More importantly, this study empirically supports that integration with suppliers mitigates supply risk and the supply risk influences supply chain performance negatively. Our research results confirm that implementing integrations with suppliers helps to not only prevent the disruptions in the supply chain but also react quickly when disruptions in the supply chain occur. This study contributes to providing empirical evidences for impacts of integration with suppliers on mitigating the supply risk. it also suggests that integration with suppliers is considered as one of the best solutions in risk mitigating strategies in the supply chain. Finally, decreasing supply risks leads to improve supply chain performances.

        Camphor leaf-derived activated carbon prepared by conventional physical activation and its water adsorption profile

        Preparation of activated carbon from biomass residue with conventional steam activation was conducted to fnd the alternative raw materials for meeting the high demand for low-cost porous material in the desiccant application. In this study, activated carbons were produced from dead camphor leaves using two-step methods at diferent preparation temperatures. The characterization results revealed that the prepared activated carbons have a surface area of 700 m2 /g, with 75% of microporosity. The water vapor sorption study reported that the water uptake of camphor leaf-based activated carbons was strongly afected by the pore properties of the materials. Moreover, from the water adsorption kinetics, it was observed that the rate constant of adsorption was varied at each relative pressure, which can be assumed that the water adsorption mechanism is diferent at each relative pressure. From these results, it was revealed that the prepared camphor leaf-based activated carbons have a promising ability to adsorb water vapor from humid air.

      • Highly Enhanced and Stable Activity of Defect Induced Titania Nanoparticles for Solar Light Driven CO<sub>2</sub> Reduction into CH<sub>4</sub>

        Photocatalytic reduction of CO<sub>2</sub> to fuel offers an exciting opportunity for helping to solve current energy and global warming problems. Although a number of solar active catalysts have been reported, most of them suffer from low product yield, instability, and low quantum efficiency. Therefore, the design and fabrication of highly active photocatalysts remains an unmet challenge. In the current work we utilize hydrogen-doped, blue-colored reduced titania for photocatalytic conversion of CO<sub>2</sub> into methane (CH<sub>4</sub>). The photocatalyst is obtained by exposure of TiO<sub>2</sub> to NaBH<sub>4</sub> at 350 °C for 0.5 h. Sensitized with Pt nanoparticles, the material promotes solar spectrum photoconversion of CO<sub>2</sub> to CH<sub>4</sub> with an apparent quantum yield of 12.40% and a time normalized CH<sub>4</sub> generation rate of 80.35 μmol g-1 h-1 .

        Bika Ambon of Indonesia: history, culture, and its contribution to tourism sector

        Indonesia is an archipelago with more than 17,000 islands and more than 300 ethnic groups. Today, the country has 35 provinces, and each province has its own local culture, language, and ethnic food. Medan is the capital of North Sumatra province which is one of the most populated provinces in Indonesia. One of the popular and authentic food souvenirs for tourists who visit Medan is Bika Ambon. Arguably, it is one of the most delicate cakes in terms of preparation and taste. The ingredients of Bika Ambon are tapioca or sago, wheat flour, sugar, coconut milk, and eggs and added bread yeast for fermentation. Bika Ambon has been a magnet for both local and international tourists visiting Medan.

        Synthesis of α-alkyl N-benzylates from maleic anhydride is described. Maleic anhydride was transformed into monoalkyl maleates which were treated which benzylamine to afford β-alkyl N-benzylaspartates(alkyl=methyl and benzyl). Base hydrolysis of these esters and subsequent treatment of the resulting carboxylic acid with HBr in AcOH produced N-benzylaspartic anhydride hydrobromide. Alcoholysis of this salts in methanol and benzyl alchol yielded α-methyl N-benzyl-aspartate and α-benzyl N-benzylaspartate, respectively.

        The prevalence of intestinal protozoa infection at Chinjoo and Sachon area was surveyed by the method of simple direct smear of feces during autumn, 1967. The result of the survey is as follows: of 650 school children, 579 junior high school boys at Chinjoo and 347 school children at Sachon the prevalence of Entamoeba histolytica was 1.2^2.6 %, Entamoeba coli 6.49.50, Endolimax nana 2.0^2.9%, Giardia lamblia 2.3^4.3%, Chilomastix mesnili 00.2%, and Iodamoeba butschlii was 0.2^0.6%.

        Synthesis of α-methyl N-benzylaspartates from DL-aspartic acid is described. DL-Aspartic acid was transformed in several ways into DL-aspartic anhydride which was subjected to alcoholysis in methanol. Benzylation of the resulting a-methyl DL-aspartate with benzyl bromide produced a-methyl β-benzyl DL-N-benzylaspartate. Hydrogenolysis of this ester was converted to α-methyl DL-N-benzylaspartate.

        3,4,5 - Trimethoxybenjoyl chloride 와 diethyl malonate를 축합시키고 이어서 염소화반응 및 수소화반응에 의하여 70%의 수득률로서 diethyl 3,4,5 - trimethoxybenzylmalonate를 얻었다. direct condensation of 3,4,5 - trimethoxybenzoyl chloried with diethyl malonate followed by chlorination and hydrogenation afforded diethyl 3,4,5 - trimethoxybenzylmalonate in 70% overall yield.
