The average indoor concentration of the library's TSP was 0.03 ng/m³. TAB in library and lounge in college of engineering showed higher concentrations in corridors than indoors. The correlation coefficient between TAB and humidity is 0.985, so it is judged that there is a significant need for humidity control in indoor air quality management to reduce the concentration of total suspended bacteria(p<0.01).

Ventriculoperitoneal shunting is the most common neurosurgical procedure for treatment of hydrocephalus. Shunt-related complications are relatively common and associated with a high rate of shunt revision. However, migration of the distal ventriculoperitoneal shunt, especially into the cardiac and intravascular regions, has rarely been reported. Awareness of this rare but potentially hazardous complication is important owing to its significant morbidity, which can be prevented by prompt management. Here, we introduce a case of a 23-year-old male with migration of the distal shunt catheter through the left internal jugular vein into the cardiac chamber and both pulmonary arteries, which occurred 2 months after receiving ventriculoperitoneal shunting. Furthermore, we discuss the possible mechanisms and management of this condition.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>As next-generation miniaturized electronics are being developed with higher power density, a need for effectively dissipating the generated heat during the device operation is becoming ever greater. Nano carbons such as graphene are strong candidates for heat dissipating materials with lightweights owing to their low densities with extraordinary thermal properties rooted from their highly crystalline and conjugated structures. Starting from a relatively less ordered, cheaper, and mass producible graphene oxide (GO), to this end, we herein describe a sequential chemical transformation to obtain a higher ordered crystalline and conjugated structure of the GO. A conventional reduction followed by a chemical defect healing process <I>via</I> intramolecular cross-dehydrogenative coupling gradually increased graphitic and crystalline structures of the GO as evidenced by a variety of spectroscopic and microscopic experiments. Consequently, the thermal conductivity of the final product was enhanced to 9.90 W/mK, corresponding to over 500% of the starting GO (1.92 W/mK). Moreover, the defect healed GO itself was successfully used as a heat dissipating material, quickly lowering its temperature by ∼36 °C during a continuous heating at 100 °C. Finally, we also demonstrated the defect healed GO as filler to enhance the thermal conductivity of the polymeric composites.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

이 연구는 지진에 취약한 조적조 건축물의 내진보강방안을 마련하고자 고인성복합체를 활용한 내진 보강공법을 개발하는 것이 목적이다. 고인성복합체로 보강한 조적실험체와 비보강 조적실험체를 제작하고, 보강 효과를 비교하기 위하여 휨 강도 시험을 수행하였다. 조적조 건축물의 내진보강 방안으로 고인성복합체를 활용할 경우 내진보강에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다. The purpose of this study is to develop a seismic reinforcement method using a engineered cementitious composite in order to prepare a seismic reinforcement plan for masonry that are vulnerable to earthquakes. A masonry specimen reinforced with engineered cementitious composites and a unreinforced masonry specimen were fabricated, and a flexural strength test was performed to compare the reinforcement effect. If a engineered cementitious composite is used as a seismic reinforcement method for masonry, it is judged that it will be helpful for earthquake resistance reinforcement.
