Long term occupational exposure to solvent mixtures may cause adverse effects to the central nervous system with neurobehavioral symptoms. And some organic slovents have been suggested to cause impairment of tuberoinfundibular dopaminergic activity and neurochemical mechanisms controlling pituitary secretion. For the purpose of assessing neuroendocrine effects in occupational solvents exposure, hormonal study settings (shoes-manufacturing industry & fishing products industry) and compared with nonexposed controls(33 men, 85 women). Male workers exposed to solvent mixtures had significantly lower plasma level of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) than nonexposed male controls. While female workers exposed to solvent mixtures had significantly lower plasma levels of growth hormone(GH), and thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH) than nonexposed female controls. The results of significant decrease in plasma concentrations of pituitary hormones(FSH, GH, and TSH) in workers exposed solvent mixtures indicate that occupational exposure to solvent mixtures may induce neuroendocrine effects through an effect on hypothalamic pituitary axis.

In this paper, we calculate refractive index change of optical waveguide and electric field to simulate y-cut LiNbO₃optical waveguide at He-Ne laser (λ=0.6328[㎛]) by BPM mechanism. At waveguide width of 4[㎛], buffer layer of 0.02[㎛] of LiNbO₃ substrate (XI 55[㎛] x ZI 5000[㎛], we observed electric field Ex, Ey in x, y-direction. By applying these parameters of single waveguide to simulate a X-switch, we have chosen index change of 0.002, width of 3[㎛] and angle of 0.4。∼0.6°of optical waveguide and under these conditions, optical beam propagates cross-side at 0.4° When applied switching vlotage of 25[V], optical beam of X-switch turns cross-side to bar-side at intersection angle 0.4° index change of 0.002, wavegulde width of 3[㎛], electrode gap 2[㎛]. By the above results, we can obtain the basis design conditions of X-switch optical modulator. And optical single waveguide is fabricated on the y-cut LiNbO₃ single crystal substrate by Ti-indiffusion method. The line-width of the waveguide was made from 4[㎛] to 6[㎛]that observed single mode at 4[㎛] as a result of propagation of He-Ne(0.6328[㎛]) laser beam.
In Vitro and in Vivo Evaluation of Phenylbutenoid Dimers as Inhibitors of P-Glycoprotein

<P>The expression of P-glycoprotein (P-gp), an ATP-dependent efflux transporter, is closely associated with the failure of chemotherapy and drug absorption. Two synthesized optically active phenylbutenoid dimers, 3<I>S</I>-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-4<I>R</I>-{(<I>E</I>)-3,4-dimethoxystyryl}cyclohex-1-ene (<B>1</B>) and 3<I>R</I>-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-4<I>S</I>-{(<I>E</I>)-3,4-dimethoxystyryl}cyclohex-1-ene (<B>2</B>), were tested for their P-gp inhibitory effects by measuring cellular accumulation and efflux of daunomycin in P-gp-overexpressed human breast cancer cells (MCF-7/ADR). Compound <B>2</B> significantly increased the accumulation of daunomycin (539%) and decreased the efflux of this compound (55.4%), and similar results were observed for <B>1</B>. ATPase assays and Western blot analysis were performed to identify the mechanisms by which compounds <B>1</B> and <B>2</B> inhibit P-gp. In addition, changes in the pharmacokinetic profile of paclitaxel coadministered with <B>2</B> in rats were evaluated. Paclitaxel (25 mg/kg) when orally administered with <B>2</B> (5 mg/kg) improved its relative bioavailability by 185%. Compound <B>2</B> effectively improved cellular accumulation by reducing the efflux of daunomycin and significantly enhanced oral exposure to paclitaxel. Mivacurium과 Vecuronium의 혼합 사용이 전신마취 중 근이완에 미치는 영향

Background: This study was designed to examine the interactions between mivacurium and vecuronium when administered during a standardized technique. Methods: Eighty patients (ASA physical status I or II) were randomly assigned to one of four groups (n=20). Their neuromuscular function was measured in response to ulnar nerve supramaximal square-wave TOF stimulation at 10-sec intervals. After the attainment of a stable baseline neuromuscular response, the patients were randomly assigned to receive a rapid iv bolus of either: (1) 3M group (n=20): mivacurium 0.21 mg/kg. Alone, or (2) 2M1V group (n=20): mivacurium 0.14 mg/kg plus vecuronium 0.05 mg/kg, or (3) 1M2V group (n=20): mivacurium 0.07 mg/kg plus vecuronium 0.10 mg/kg, or (4) 3V group (n=20): vecuronium 0.15 mg/kg alone. The onset time of the neuromuscular block, time of recovery of T1 to 25% and reblock time (the time from the reinjection of vecuronium at the time of recovery of T1 to 25% to the time of recovery of T1 to 25%: T25-25) were measured. The intubating condition was evaluated clinically with a scoring system. Results: The onset of block in the 3M group was 33% slower than in the 3V group. The time durations until 25% recovery in the 2M1V, 1M2V and 3V groups were longer than in the 3M group, and the durations in the 1M2V and 3V groups were longer than in the 2M1V group. The T25-25 reblock times of the 2M1V, 1M2V and 3V groups were prolonged in comparison to that of the 3M group. There was no difference in intubating conditions between any of the groups. Conclusions: A combination of mivacurium with vecuronium provides rates of onset and duration of block which are more effective than an equivalent dose of mivacuriun alone as an additive reaction. 의학교육에 있어서의 Tutorial System : 학내 도입을 위한 제의 Proposal for Introduction to Current Curriculum

Tutorial system in medical education in general is a system which deals with problem-oriented, self-directed, and small group learning to encourage students to assume responsibility for their own learnings and to provide capabilities to cope with the environment where greater expansion of medical knowledge is being piling up. But it is not just another system to tried out in short time. Rather it requires a new curriculum with many different types of resources and requires certain period of time to evaluate the effects and drawbacks. Each medical school should customize upon its basic status of current system when in attempt to adapt this system. The purpose of this study was first to review the basic concept of this system and prerequisites for the introduction of an ideal and practical model for our institution. Basic resources in medical school and medical center were reviewed and evaluated. Then, short- and long-term ideal plan for future curriculum based on present status is proposed. Although situation in our medical school is in the stage of advancement both academically and structurally, authors believe that our school should adapt this system in a customized fashion for the time being and improve upon the method of applying as it fits in place of new curriculum in future. Finally, authors wish to stress that this system should not be considered as just another a new curriculum nor it can be accomplished in short time with few trained teachers. Rather, every staff member of school should have an enduring mind to make this system work to provide a better learning environment for our medical students.

본 논문에서는 컴포넌트의 메소드 호출이나 변경 없이 조립하기위해 본 논문에서는 컴포넌트를 연결하는 커넥터를 자동생성에 관한 연구를 하였다. 커넥터는 컴포넌트 포트의 정의, 명세와 아키텍처 구조에 의해 자동으로 생성이 된다. 생성된 커넥터를 통해 컴포넌트가 조립이 되는 것이다. In this paper, connector that connect component in paper that serve to assemble without method call or alteration of component offered research of automatic creation. Connector is produced automatically by justice of component port, detail and architecture structure. Through produced connector, component is assembled.
