This research is about how the adapted learning of descriptive assessment problems influence on the extension of the ability of the students. As a result, adapted learning of descriptive assessment problems totally led to positive effect, and according to the analyses of behavioral objectives divided into knowledge, comprehension and problem solving, they had more effect on the ability of students' problem solving. Learning attitude of the students were changed into self-centered learning attitude and interest on the subject of mathematics were highly increased since the research had started. If we adapt this research to the learning of mathematics after we develop various problems that can develop creativity, I'm sure that it will be a effective way for both extension of the ability and problem solving ability of the students.
Numerical investigation into dynamic behavior of adjustable preload double-nut ball screw
Chuen-Ren Wang,De-Shin Liu,Chien-Hsun Huang,Ting-Nung Shiau 대한기계학회 2016 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.30 No.10
The dynamic behavior of a double-nut ball screw was investigated by means of ABAQUS 6.13© simulations based on a threedimensional model. The validity of the numerical model was demonstrated by comparing the simulation results obtained for the reaction force and torque acting on the flange of the nut with the experimental results. We found that the two sets of results deviated by no more than 5.87% given a screw rotating speed of 100 rpm. Simulations were performed to investigate the effects of the spacer width, screw rotating speed, steel ball radius and axial force on the torque acting on the nut flange. The results show that the torque increases with an increasing spacer width due to an increasing preload force. Moreover, the torque increases as the screw rotating speed increases to 700 rpm, but decreases at higher rotating speeds due to a greater centrifugal force. Ball wear prompts a reduction in the preload force and thus reduces disproportionately the torque acting on the flange following extended operation. For higher axial loads (> 100 N), the torque remains approximately constant during run-in (0.025~0.2 s). However, for lower loads, notable fluctuations in the torque occur.

Background: To determine the functional outcomes, complications and revision rates following total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in patients with pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS). Materials and methods: We conducted a systematic review of the literature. Five studies with a total of 552 TKAs were included for analysis. The methodological quality of the articles was evaluated using the Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) scale. Functional outcomes, complications and revision rates were assessed. The mean age was 61 years (range 33-94 years) and the mean follow-up period was 61.1 months (range 0.2-35 years). Results: All the studies reported improvement in knee function following TKA. Post-operative stiffness was the most frequently reported complication, affecting 32.7% (n = 32) of patients in our review. Symptomatic recurrence of PVNS, component loosening, tibial-component fracture, instability and periprosthetic infection were the main factors leading to the need for revision TKA. Conclusion: The findings of this review support the use of TKA to alleviate the functional limitations and pain due to knee degeneration in patients with PVNS. The operating surgeon should be aware of the increased risk of postoperative stiffness, as well as a potentially higher risk of infection. Implant survival should also be considered inferior to the one expected for the general population undergoing TKA.

Although former scholarly studies mostly focus on exploring leadership effectiveness under the traditional hierarchical leader-subordinate relationship, the research of leadership performance for non-hierarchical organizational structures, particularly the mediating factors of higher-order goals, trust-in-leader, and self-efficacy have been ignored. This study, therefore, makes an attempt to ascertain the impacts of transformational leadership on the performance of subordinates through the mediating effects of higher-order goals, trust-in-leader, and self-efficacy and the differences of these effects in the context of multi-level marketing (MLM). Like the small-sample studies adopted by Barling, Weber, and Kelloway [1996], Barling, Slater, and Kelloway [2000] and Bass, Avolio, Jung, and Berson [2003], this study adopts a sample of 123 MLM distributors of an MLM company in Hong Kong, with a high response rate of 80.4%. The results indicate that the mediating effect of self-efficacy between transformational leadership and performance is significant under non-hierarchical organizational structures such as MLM in China.
Frequency-dependent Admittance of a Three-probe Mesoscopic Conductor
J. Chuen,Ying Tian 한국물리학회 2013 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.62 No.6
By considering of two factors, the hopping of electrons between different channels in the scattering on the interfaces of different regions the contact effect, we investigate in a self-consistent manner the frequency-dependent admittance of a three-probe mesoscopic conductor connected with wide reservoirs. Results indicate that the frequency-dependent admittance shows two different responses to an external ac voltage, namely, inductive-like and capacitive-like, which depend on the sign of the matrix elements of the admittance. Importantly, the contact effect can cause a significant difference in the frequency-dependent electrons transport properties, especially in high-frequency cases.

For those of us who are working to create new versions/visions of coeducation, the past few years have been both challenging and highly instructive. We have learned to maneuver ourselves through the thick fields of bureaucratic resistance, and we have been thrilled by the energy that has surfaced in our various functions. But most important of all, we have learned that the shape and operation coeducation hinges upon how we articulate with or resist existing/emerging social forces to create a democratic and equitable education.
