        현대(現代) 한국사회(韓國社會)에 적합한 한의학(韓醫學) "치미병(治未病)"방법(方法)에 대한 모색(摸索)

        In present-day Korea, a climatic change is causing various changes to the life of people and their body. The climate is more and more warm, so the internal environment of people`s body is exchanging to warm. The climatic change`s range is big and the speed is fast. So the harmony of human body is being destroyed and the human body`s adaptation ability is becoming low. At this condition, diseases more frequently occur. So doctor must expect the occur of diseases and practice early treatment. And in present-day Korea, a life environmental change is being advanced. The life environmental change is causing big changes to the people`s body and having influences to the occur of diseases. To this problem, doctor must expect and practice early treatment. This thesis would like to interpret about present-day Korea`s climatic changes and life environmental changes in Korean Medicine point of view, and try to present the method of Korean Medicine early treatment. And comment on present-day Korea`s early treatment method especially on health supplement or functional food and vaccination.

      • 체육교과 평가방식에 대한 소비자 의견 분석

        To collect customers opinion about physical education estimation system, this study targeted on 3rd grade students at academic high schools in Cheongju-city and Chungju-city in Chungcheongbuk-do. Main subjects of the study are each 4 classes in boys high school and girls high school. This paper examines the feasibility of estimation system change in the result of collecting customers opinion about estimation factors like reflection of school record and change, time factors like time obstacle and exercise ability, ability factors like influence and contents of school record, result factors like fairness of estimation, course factors like necessary and value of estimation and academic factors like private education expenses and its reduction. Based on the above result, it analyzes certification and correlation by item, sex and factor focused on every factor. Study materials are managed by SAS Package(Window Ver. 6.11). In the result of correcting customers opinion about the above estimation system, it shows as follows: First, it showed the difference by sex in change and reflection of physical education estimation system, change and influence of school record and necessary and value of estimation contents. Second, many male students supported items about exception and reflection of school record in physical education. It showed that most of students asked to change estimation system. Third, it showed time obstacle by students exercise ability in physical education estimation system. Male students have more obstacles to study other subjects than female ones. Fourth, it showed that many students asked to change estimation system not by influence of school record but by exercise ability. Fifth, it showed that many students emphasized fairness in estimation results by teachers. Sixth, in the case of male students, they asked enjoy activity and in the case of female ones, they asked physical development and health maintenance. Most students replied that physical education is necessary subject regardless of estimation. Seventh, Most students replied that physical education estimation system is not cause of increasing private education expenses directly. Eighth, students at academic high school have much correlation with estimation, time, ability, result and academic factor. On the other hand, it showed that subject factor did not much correlation with other factors.

      • Biomechanical analysis of lumbar decompression surgery in relation to degenerative changes in the lumbar spine – Validated finite element analysis

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Background</B></P> <P>There are no studies about the biomechanical analysis of lumbar decompression surgery in relation to degenerative changes of the lumbar spine. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare, by using finite element (FE) analysis, the biomechanical changes of the lumbar spine in terms of annulus stress and nucleus pressure after two different kinds of lumbar decompression surgery in relation to disc degenerative changes.</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>The validated intact and degenerated FE models (L2-5) were used in this study. In these two models, two different decompression surgical scenarios at L3-4, including conventional laminectomy (ConLa) and the spinous process osteotomy (SpinO), were simulated. Therefore, a total of six models were simulated. Under preloading, 7.5 Nm moments of flexion, extension, lateral bending, and torsion were imposed. In each model, the maximal von Mises stress on the annulus fibrosus and nucleus pressure at the index segment (L3-4) and adjacent segments (L2-3 and L4-5) were analyzed.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>The ConLa model and disc degeneration model demonstrated a larger annulus stress at the decompression level (L3-4) under all four moments than were seen in the SpinO model and healthy disc model, respectively. Therefore, the ConLa model with moderate disc degeneration showed the highest annulus stress at the decompression level (L3-4). However, the percent change of annulus stress at L3-4 from the intact model to the matched decompression model was less in the moderate disc degeneration model than in the healthy disc model.</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>Although the ConLa model with moderate disc degeneration showed the highest annulus stress, the degenerative models would be less influenced by the decompression technique.</P>

        요추 추간판탈출증 수술 후 임상 증상의 회복

        Study Design : The authors retrospectively analysed the recovery of clinical symptoms after surgical treatment of lumbar HIVD. Objectives : To investigate the incidence of clinical symptoms, the recovery rate and time after surgical treatment and the difference between L4-5 and L5-S1 lesion. Summary of Literature Review : There are many reports concerning the clinical result of surgical treatment for the HIVD. They usually describe the result as excellent, good, fair and poor. We can't get any information about the recovery rate and recovery time of each clinical symptom from the reports. Materials and Methods : Thirty-eight patients were treated by one level open discectomy from march 1991 to december 1995. The clinical symptoms and signs including SLR, motor deficit, sensory deficit, change of DTR and severity of radiating pain were periodically followed up on the predesigned protocol, Results : In preoperative examination, SLR was positive in 82%, motor deficit in 76%, sensory deficit in 74%, DTR change in 50%, and radiating pain in 100%. The recovery rate of SLR was 96.8%, motor deficit ; 93.6%, sensory deficit ; 78.6%, DTR change ; 21 % and radiating pain ; 84.2%. The average recovery time of SLR was 3.4 months, motor deficit ; 1.9 months, sensory deficit ; 5.3 months, DTR change ; 4.1 months and radiating pain ; 3.2 months. Motor and sensory deficit was more frequent in L4-5 lesion but DTR change was usually noted in L5-S] lesion. The recovery rate and time showed no great difference between the two level. Conclusions : The recovery rate was higher in SLR, motor deficit and radiating pain rather than sensory deficit and DTR change. The recovery time was fastest in radiating pain but variable nature was noted in sensory deficit. Above results may be helpful to explain the prognosis of the lumbar HIVD.

      • Solidification of AZ31 magnesium alloy plate in a horizontal continuous casting process

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Magnesium plate of 120mm width and 30mm thickness was produced by horizontal continuous casting, and its microstructures were analyzed on the surface and in the plate interior. The defect formation on the surface and subsurface, such as side cracks, buckling, pores and segregation, was very sensitive to the casting condition and processing parameters. Especially, a secondary cooling was effective in refining the microstructure and controlling the grain size distribution across the plate thickness, which means that the cooling rate and curvature of the solid/liquid interface in the mold changed. According to AES analysis on the surface, the thickness of the oxide layer was not more than 0.3μm. However, the cyclic marks on the surface were obvious, because the plate were drawn by four-step cycle. In the case of several defects, they caused side cracks during rolling and survived even after rolling. Thus, it was concluded that pretreatment of the as-cast plate, such as homogenization and surface machining, is necessary to produce sound thin sheet by hot rolling.</P>

        Sphingosine 1-Phosphate and Sphingosine Kinase Activity during Chicken Embryonic Development

        The chicken embryo has been well used in studies of the developmental process, and during development sphingosine and sphingosine 1-phosphate (So1P) are considered critical mediators of cell death and survival. In this study, we compared the sphingolipid contents of chicken embryos during the early embryonic development period from day 3 to day 6. HPLC analyses of sphingosine and So1P in chicken embryos revealed that sphingosine levels were greatly reduced on day 4 whereas So1P levels were not significantly changed. Sphingosine kinase (Sphk) activities, which require sphingosine as substrate to produce So1P, were also greatly reduced on day 4. Collectively, we found sphingosine levels and Sphk activities, but not So1P levels are changed in early stage of chicken embryos development.

      • Propylthiouracil 투여에 의한 갑상선 기능저하 흰쥐 조직에서 알코올 탈수소효소 활성의 변화

        Background: Thyroid hormone has been known to affect hepatic alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) activity. Although the liver is the principal site of ethanol metabolism, stomach is also responsible in part for ethanol oxidation. The effects of thyroid hormone on ADH activity in gastric mucosa and other tissues of rats had not been previously examined. Method: The effects of thyroid hormone on liver, stomach, lung, and kidney ADH activities (nM of NADH/min/mg of cytosolic protein) have been investigated in male Sprague Dawley rats treated with propylthiouracil (50 mg/kg) for 14 days. Results: Whereas hepatic ADH activities were not changed by treatment with PTU(42.9(8.6 vs 45.2 (10.1), gastric ADH activities in PTU-treated rats increased by 258.8% of control rat (6.3 ( 0.6 vs 2.2 ( 1.2, p〈0.001). In the activities of other tissues, PTU treatment decreased lung ADH activity by 59.7% of control, and increased kidney ADH activities by 247.1% of control rats. Conclusion: These data suggest that hypothyroidism causes an increase of gastric alcohol metabolism, and that the increase of gastric ADH activity can partly restore the first pass metabolism of ethanol in hypothyroid rats.

      • Real-Time External Compensation of Threshold Voltage Shift Using Double-Gate Oxide TFTs in a Gate Driving System

        <P>In order to suppress the malfunction caused by the shift of the threshold voltage (V-TH) of oxide thin film transistors (TFTs) to a negative value, double-gate TFTs are used in the shift register of the gate driving system to control V-TH by adjusting the top gate bias. The proposed circuit detects the current consumption of the shift register and adjusts V-TH so that the current consumption of the shift register is regulated within the desired value. The system includes a compensation algorithm, which can search for an optimized top gate bias in various circumstances such as process fluctuations and ambient temperature change. The proposed system provides a stable operation compared with a conventional structure especially at high temperature. Experimental results show that, in the conventional system without compensation, the output voltage of the shift register deteriorates at 80 degrees C and above, and the power consumption increases from 1.15 to 2.14 mW after 21600 s of continuous operation at 60 degrees C. On the other hand, the proposed system provides a stable gate output up to 100 degrees C and keeps the power consumption below 1.10 mW by adjusting the top gate bias responding to environment changes.</P>

        동조액주관댐퍼의 가진진폭별 오르피스감쇠특성에 대한 연구

        With the production of light?weight and high?strength construction materials and the advance of structure design techniques, various forms of high?rise buildings are being constructed. These buildings cannot help considering the effect of wind load. Because wind velocity grows higher with the increase in height from the ground, high?rise buildings respond sensitively to the wind and make vibration. In order to reduce the vibration, many additional mass devices are being developed. Recently, supplementary dampers using tuned liquid column damper (TLCD) are being developed actively. This study purposed to measure the amplitude response and the head loss coefficient of TLCD for different sizes of excitation amplitude according to the aperture ratio of orifice. In addition, we obtained the head loss coefficient according to the length of the horizontal column at natural frequency determined by the length of the vertical column and the horizontal column of TLCD. Thus, this study analyzed for the amplitude response and head loss coefficient of tuned liquid column damper according to the porosity of orifice while vibrating amplitude and natural frequency change. In addition, as the natural frequency of TLCD is determined by the length of the vertical and the horizontal column, we examined the variation of the head loss coefficient of orifices in adjusting natural frequency according to the length of the horizontal column. In the results of experiment, the larger vibrating amplitude was, the lower the head loss coefficient was. Under the same porosity, the head loss coefficient decreased by up to 4 times by 1mm of vibrating amplitude and 20mm of vibrating amplitude. Porosity and vibrating amplitude had a considerable effect on the head loss coefficient. When the length of the horizontal pipe increased, the overall head loss coefficient decreased by around 1.5-2 times.

        서정주 시에 나타난 성 욕망과 정화 양상

        The purpose of this paper is to examine a sexual desire and a serious aspect of Seo jeong-ju's poetry. This research aims to examine sexual vitality of the motive for his poetly creation. In this paper, it will be illustrated how his desire for sex is internalized and whether he intended to create an archetype. And the meaning of the change fm the desire in his early p m s to reconciliation in his later works will be thoroughly examined, too. By escaping from the tense and the conflict expression in his early pawns' sexual desire and searching for the harmorny with the globalization, Seo Jung Ju experienced the stability and the reconciliation. This also can be found in the positive change from the awareness of the sex based on disagreement and suppressed desks from the childhood. Sexual desire offers the key to an understand Sen Jeong-Ju's self-consciouness. Sexual desire is a strong drive for him to write his poems and an willingness for the positivity of his life. These results lead to the conclusion that sexual desire is important ideas for Seo Jeong-ju to develope his poetic process.
