Nimesulide (NSAIDs) is often prescribed with antiulcer agents such as antacids or H2 receptor blockers to reduce the stomach irritation. We found that when nimesulide was compounded to powder with an antiulcer agent, composed of ranitidine, magnesium oxide, aluminum magnesium silicate and aluminum magnesium hydrate, the compounded powder's color was changed to hard yellow. So this study was planned to verify the pharmaceutical interaction between these two agents and to evaluate the clinical importance of this interaction. Nimesulide and antacid complex were triturated together by the ratio of 1:1 and 2:1 as the object. We measured the change of the powders color, contents of the main composition, pH and moisture content according to the compounding time and the storage period. For the compounding time, the experiment conditions were triturating each other separately then mixing, triturating together for 1, 3 and 5 minutes. The storage periods were 0, 1, 3, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days respectively. Compounded powder's color was considerably changed to yellow according to increase of the compounding time and the storage period. Though the color was changed, there was no relationship among the compounding time and contents of the main composition, pH level or moisture content (F0>F (1, 2; 0.05)). Also storage period didn't affect those factors(F0>F (1, 5; 0.05)). According to our results this pharmaceutical interaction did not alter the effect of each agent, and it was considered to be the tolerable incompatibility.

Présence et absence de Louis dans Juste la fin du monde de J-L Lagarce et sa création scénique à Séoul

L’article, que nous produisons ici, se conçoit et se comprend surtout comme le dernier acte d’une réflection sur ce qui a conduit à la création scénique de Juste la fin du monde de J.-L. Lagarce en mars-avril 2019 à Séoul. Ce document constitue quelques traces écrites autour de la présence-absence du personnage central, Louis. Notre désir était de nous interroger encore sur le lien entre espace scénique et espace dramatique. Nous avons donc pris le parti de rendre compte d’un fil rouge qui a été suivi en amont de la répétition en salle pour arriver à la scénographie et à la représentation: la complexité d’un personnage au bord de l’absence. En effet, rien n’est plus paradoxal dans cette pièce que Louis. Nous avons donc exploré ici ses zones d’ombres qui ont conduit à l’invention, entre autre, d’un espace scénique ne reposant sur aucune indication du texte dramatique. Revisiter notre travail vers la mise en scène autour de la présence-absence de Louis aura eu comme mérite de nous rappeler que l’écriture de J.-L. Lagarce joue avec les codes théâtraux, le personnage Louis étant d’ailleurs une métaphore de l’acteur.

이 논문은 프랑스 동시대 극작가 상드린느 로쉬(1970년생)의 희곡〈아홉 소녀들〉(2011)에 나타난 코러스 특징에 대한 연구이다. 등장인물의 이름도 없는 익명의 아홉 소녀 그룹이 하는 이야기 지어내는 놀이에는 처음엔 순진한 것처럼 보이지만 기성 세대들이 사회에서 일상으로 겪는 상황들을 환기시키는 주제들, 즉 여성, 비만, 가족, 노동, 차별, 왕따, 고독, 알콜, 인종차별, 성폭력, 동성애, 전쟁, 이주민 문제... 등과 같은 예민한 주제들이 들어있다. 이 작품 속에서는 이 신예작가의 여러 가지 독창적인 극작의 양상을 발견할 수 있었지만 그 중에서도 특히 코러스의 존재와 활용이 가장 중요하게 보인다. 이 작품 〈아홉 소녀들〉은 불규칙한 길이의 23장으로 되어 있는 파편화된 글쓰기이다. 현학적인 단어는 들어 있지 않는 일상 언어로 된 짧고 단순한 문체 속에서 인물들이 하는 대사 부분 외, 음악, 무용 등 신체적인 움직임이 든 리드미칼한 구성을 발견할 수 있다. 이 작품의 독창성은 사용된 글, 내용 보다는, 목소리의 대화체(Dialogues) 그리고 신체와 동작 퍼포먼스로 된 지문(Didascalis) 사이에 들어있다는 것이다. 그리고 겉으로 보기엔 일반적으로 말하는 전통적인 연극과는 멀어 보이고, 포스트드라마적인 연극의 역동성 속에 들어가 있어 보이는 이 작품〈아홉 소녀들〉은 특이하게도 코러스 구성을 하고 있다는 점이다. 이렇게 코러스를 활용함으로써 역설적으로 연극 전통과 연결하고 있음을 볼 수 있는데, 그것도 하나의 동일한 목소리가 아닌 자주 갈등을 보이는 아홉 소녀 그룹의 ‘분열된 코러스’로 연결하고 있다. 그래서 이 작품 속에서 고대 연극에서의 코러스, 즉 동일한 소리를 내는 집단, 어떤 의미에서는 그 중간 길에 있는 ‘분열된 코러스’, 즉 동일한 소리를 내지 않는 집단의 여러 가지 다양한 형태의 코러스를 발견할 수 있었다. 결론적으로, 코러스와 코러스성 사이에 있는 상드린느 로쉬 희곡의 하이브리드한 형태는 연극의 원천 쪽으로 회귀하지 않으면서도 원천 속에 뿌리를 박고 있는 연극성을 재확인하게 해준다. 무엇보다도 다양한 표현양식, 즉 집단(소녀들, 마그마)에 마주한 개인(한 소녀, 한 여성)을 나타내는 목소리, 음악, 무용에 길을 열어주고 있는 극작이다. 이 작가 스스로가 자신의 글쓰기가 무엇을 찾고 있는지를 다음과 같이 잘 요약해주고 있듯이, 이 작품은 새롭게 활용된 코러스 특징 아래 자유로우면서도 단단한 구조를 구축하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다: “나는 재즈를 작곡하듯이 희곡을 쓰는 것을 좋아한다, 다시 말해 틀에 의해 유지되고 있다는 것을 느끼면서, 내부에서 빠져 나오기도 하고 새롭게 만들어 내기도 하고, 자유로이 상상이 가능한 어떤 단단한 구조를 제시하는 것이다.”

Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in Korean Women: Similarities and Differences from Other Racial/Ethnic Groups

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) reflects defects in insulin secretion in response to the metabolic demands of pregnancy. While GDM is increasingly common worldwide due in large part to the obesity epidemic, its frequency is relatively low in Koreanwomen. In this report, the prevalence and risk factors for GDM, perinatal outcomes, and postpartum course are compared innon-Korean and Korean women. While Koreans and non-Koreans with GDM share pathophysiology and complications, theremay be differences in the role of obesity and thus the effectiveness of interventions targeting obesity in GDM women. Further investigationsof the effectiveness of weight loss interventions and pharmacotherapy specifically among Korean women are needed. Dietary and other lifestyle data from Korean populations could inform prevention and treatment strategies in other countrieswhich suffer from significantly higher prevalences of GDM.

The Concpet of State Feminism and the Case for Hong Kong

Comparative studies of anti-sex-discrimination law enforcement agencies and state feminism mechanisms tend to focus on western societies, with little mention of cases in Asia. Hong Kong is one of the few Asian regions that have anti-discrimination laws and a statutory Equal Opportunities Commission. This paper is an examination of Hong Kong’s conditions for and level of state feminism. Through this case study, we hope to understand the extent to which western models of state feminism can be applied in Asian contexts. Our analyses indicate that while Hong Kong has half the antecedent conditions for an influential and enabling state feminist office, it is a low feminist state. In Hong Kong, where democracy is in its infancy, there are three particular elements that pose a major challenge to feminist agendas; namely, the governing elite, the business sector and the legislature. The three mutually reinforce each other in sustaining patriarchal patterns.

Entrepreneurship and Leadership: Case Studies of Female Micro-business Owners in Hong Kong

It has been proposed that women view their businesses as a cooperative network of relationships rather than a separate economic entity and they integrate business into life, rather than life into business. We conducted three case studies of female micro-business owners in the services sector in Hong Kong, and found that the “integrated view” model explains not only their definitions of success, but their networking and leadership styles as well. All three dimensions were influenced by their perception of a quality life and by the importance they placed on their relationships with customers, staff, business associates, friends and family. We also found that leadership is paramount to business survival and success. Our informants aimed at repeated business dealings and referrals from satisfied customers. By investing in their employees and motivating them to provide high quality goods and services, they were able to delegate work and thus give themselves more time for their multifarious interests.
