커드란이 수리미 젤 특성에 미치는 영향

커드란을 첨가한 수리미의 젤 형성능력은 열 안정성과 냉동-해동 안정성 측정에 의해 평가되었다. 커드란은 수리미 젤에 대한 젤 강화효과를 나타내 주었으며, 특히 커드란 2%에서는 바람직한 젤 특성을 보여주었다. 커드란의 함량이 증가함에 따라 수리미 젤 강도가 증가하였으며 커드란 2% 이상에서의 수리미 젤은 조직감으로는 바람직하지 못한 graniness 관능특성을 보여주었다. 커드란이 함유된 수리미 젤은 커드란 자체의 열 안정성으로 인하여 레토르트 온도에서 높은 열 안정성을 보여주었다. 냉동-해동 안정성 실험에서는 커드란을 첨가한 수리미 젤이 낮은 압출 수분함량과 침투힘의 차이를 보여주고 있어 냉동-해동 안정성이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 전분과 난백이 함유된 수리미 젤에서는 커드란 첨가에 따른 상승효과를 보여주지 않았다. Surimi gel-forming properties of curdlan were evaluated by thermal and freeze-thaw stability tests. Curdlan exhibited a moderate gel-strengthening effect in surimi gel with desirable texture development at a 2% level. Although its gel strengthening effect was a function of the level, the texture became less acceptable at levels hgher than 2%, primarily due to graininess. Curdlan-incorporated surimi gels showed a better thermal stability in terms of texture due to its unique thermal stability. A freeze-thaw stability test showed that curdlan moderately improved freeze-thaw stability as evidenced by decreased expressible moisture and changes in penetration force of the surimi gel. No synergistic effect was observed with primary ingredients used in surimi-based products including starch and egg white.

For Skinned, Skin and Taegeuk ginseng, desorption equilibrium moisture content(E.M.C.) were measured by static method using saturated salt solution at the range in temperature from 20℃ to 50℃ and in relative humidity from 30% to 87%. The desorption equilibrium moisture content of Skinned & Skin ginseng is higher than that of Taegeuk ginseng, and there is no significant difference in E.M.C. between Skinned ginseng and Skin ginseng. The linear desorption E.M.C. model was developed and compared to Henderson, Chung-Pfost, Halsey, Harkins-Jura and Oswin equation widely used as desorption E.M.C. model by linear least square method. All models were highly significant. The goodness of fit of the equations was evaluated by measuring the "Mean Square of Error'. The developed empirical equation gave the best fit to the experimental data.

The objective of this study is to examine the influence factors for successive performance of ISO 9000. Especially we focus to propelling motives and quality requirements in certifying ISO 9000. The data for empirical test was gathered from the obtaining firms of ISO 9000 quality certification among electronic and electric manufacturing industry. The results of empirical study suggested that there is significant positive impact competitive advantage motive to quality requirement enforcement. And we found that quality management system establishment, employee's perception and behavior change about quality were impacted very strong to competitive advantage motive and quality improvement requirement enforcement. But competition improvement was impacted to customer claim motive very strong. Also we investigated the problems in certification obtaining progress, post-operational management, and the ISO regulation & system. The result appeared very important factors to overloading of worker in certification obtaining progress, less participation of company-wide employee in post-operational management, and much maintaining cost in the ISO regulation & system.

외상성 경막하수종 환아에서 조기 수술의 유용성

Background and Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the usefulness of early operation in children with traumatic subdural hygroma. Materials and Methods: The subjects were eleven patients (Glasgow coma scale (GCS) score was below 10 and age was below 10 years old) who developed subdural hygroma after trauma between January 2000 to December 2002. Subduroperitoneal shunt was performed in one group and not performed in the other group. We analyzed the GCS score on admission and at 1 year after operation. Overall clinical results were evaluated retrospectively. Results: Patients who underwent operation exhibited higher GCS scores at 1 year after trauma compared to those in the patients who were treated by conservative therapy (p<0. 05). Conclusion: The early operation could be an effective treatment to children with subdural hygroma who showed delayed improvement of consciousness and to patients with hygroma that didn't decrease or was above moderate amount.

함평만 갯벌 조간대의 식생분포 및 현존량

함평만 조간대 염생식물조사를 위하여 염생식물군락이 형성된 6개지역을 선정하여 식생분포 및 현존량을 조사하였다. 우점군락은 퉁퉁마디군락(Salicoenia herbacea community), 칠면초군락(Suaeda japonic community), 나문재군락(Suaeda asparagoides community), 좀보리사초군락(Carex pumilalini community), 가는갯능쟁이군락(Atriplex gmelini community), 갯개미취군락(Aster tripolium community), 갯잔디군락(Zoysia sinica community), 해홍나물군락(Suaeda maritima community), 갯질경군락(Limonium tetragonun community), 갈대군락(Phragmites communis community), 실망초군락(Erigeron bonariensis community)으로 구분되었다. 염생식물 군락의 생산량은 1,680∼2,170 g.d.w./㎡으로 갈대군락이 가장 높았고, 갯잔디 군락이 310∼500 g.d.w./㎡으로 가장 낮았다. The coastal vegetation was classified by the Braun-Blanquet's method and the biomass was investigated at the wetland of Hampyung-Man. The vegetation of the study area was classified with 11 coastal communities as follows: Salicornia herbacea community, Suaeda japonica community, Suaeda asparagoides community, Carex pumilalini community, Atriplex gmelini community, Aster tripolium community, Zoysia sinica community, Suaeda maritima community, Limonium tetragonun community, Phragmites communis community, Erigeron bonariensis community, Biomass was highest in Phragmites communis community (1,680∼2,170 g.d.w./㎡) and lowest in Zoysia sinica community (310∼500 g.d.w./㎡).

직교배열법에 의한 선삭가공시 칩절단성 평가

The object of this paper is to evaluate the chip breakability using the experimental equation of surface roughness, which is developed in turning by an orthogonal array method. L_(9)(3⁴) orthogonal array method, one of fractional factorial design has been used to study effects of main cutting parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut, on the surface roughness. The evaluation of chip breakability is used the chip breaking index(C_(B)), non-dimensional parameter. And the analysis of variance (ANOVA)-test has been used to check the significance of cutting parameters. Using the result of ANOVA-test, the experimental equation of chip breakability, which consists of significant cutting parameters, has been developed. The coefficient of determination of this equation is 0.866.

Progressive macular hypomelanosis is an idiopathic acquired hypopigmentary disorder first descri-bad in 1988. The disorder is characterized by ill-defined, non-scaly, round to oval, hypopigmented patches symmetrically localized on the trunk. No clinical symptoms have been observed. Currently, diagnosis is made on clinical grounds and any histological, laboratory investigations are not diagenositc. This disorder does not respond to conventional treatment and its clinical course is variable. We experienced a case of progressive macular hypomelanosis that was successfully treated with narrow band UVB phototherapy. (Korean J Dermatol 2003;41(12):1664~1666)

중재적 뇌신경방사선학에 대한 마취과적 고려

Interventional neuroradiologic procedure represents treatment of central nervous system disease by endovascular access for the purpose of delivering therapeutic agents, including both drugs and devices. For optimal anesthetic management, anesthesiologists should be familial with specific radiological procedures and their potential complications. The role of the anaesthetist in INR consists in providing patient comfort by analgesia and sedation, adequate monitoring, maintenance of vital functions and(if required) the management of systemic heparinisation. The patient's underlying condition, the duration and the kind of intervention have to be considered to decide on the anaesthetic management. Knowledge of the risks and hazards of the different procedures and close collaboration with the neuroradiologist form the basis for appropriate management in case of a potentially fatal ischemic or haemorrhagic complication. For prompt control of airway, respiration and blood pressure in these emergencies experienced anaesthesia staff is required.

Hand-Schu¨ller-Christian병 1례

We present a case of Hand-Schu¨ller Christian disease occuring in a 7-year-old boy. The patient had suffered from polyuria, Polydipsia with protrusion of the eye balls and seborrheic lesions on his scalp since 4 years of age. The biopsy specimens from the skin showed an infiltrate composed almost entirely of loosely aggregated histiocytes in the upper portion of the dermis.
