        慶南(경남) 河東(하동)의 儒脈(유맥)과 南冥學(남명학) 傳承(전승)

        경남 하동 지역 유학자의 세기별 분포는 15세기 1명, 16세기 2명, 17세기 7명, 18세기 2명, 19세기 16명, 20세기 초 1명이다. 가장 비율이 높은 시기가 19세기이며, 그 다음이 17세기이다. 경남 지역은 南冥 曺植의 학문을 계승한 南冥學派가 주도적 역할을 담당하였는데, 남명학파의 성쇠에 따라 하동 지역의 유학자도 비례하여 산출되고 있는 점을 확인할 수 있다. 구역별 분포는 총 29명의 유학자 가운데 옥종면이 21명으로 가장 많으며, 그 다음으로 북천면이 6명, 금남면과 양보면이 각각 1명이다. 이 가운데 옥종면 안계리 출신의 유학자가 11명으로, 옥종면 유학자의 절반이 넘는 비율을 차지하며, 전체 하동군 유학자의 3분의 1에 해당한다. 이러한 통계를 근거해 볼 때, 하동 유학의 중심지는 옥종면이며, 그 중에서도 안계리가 핵심 지역이라고 규명해 볼 수 있다. 학맥 형성 양상을 살펴본다면, 남명학파 11명, 寒洲系列 4명, 蘆沙系列 5명, 星湖系列 3명, 尤庵系列 1명, 華西系列 1명, 기타 6명이 된다. 그러므로 하동 지역의 학파별 분포는 남명학파 및 南人 계열이 대다수를 차지하며, 그 다음으로 노사계열의 문인이 많은 비중을 가진다. 하동 지역의 남명학 전승과 관련해서는 안계마을 출신의 晉陽河氏 학자들이 家學을 통해 계승한 사실을 거론할 수 있다. 그리고 河達弘, 鄭瑀贇, 趙性家, 崔琡民, 姜柄周, 鄭敦均 등의 학자들이 서로 다른 학맥과 당파를 가지고 있었음에도 불구하고, 남명을 존숭하고 본받아 실천하려 한 점을 지적할 수 있다. According to the distribution of Confucian scholars in Hadong (河東)-gun, Gyeongnam (慶南) by century, the 15th century has one, the 16th century has two, the 17th century has 7, the 18th century has two, the 19th century has 16, and the early 20th century has one. The period that indicates the highest rate is the 19th century, and the next is the 17th century. In Gyeongnam area, Nammyeong (南冥) School that transmits Nammyeong Jo Sik’s studies has played the initiative roles. And we can see that Confucian scholars in Hadong area are produced proportionally to Nammyeong School’s rise and decline. About their distribution by area, Okjong-myeon has produced the most Confucian scholars, that is, 21 out of total 29. The next is Bukcheon-myeon as six, and Geumnam-myeon and Yangbo-myeon have produced one each. Among these, Confucian scholars from Angye-ri, Okjong-myeon are 11, so they are more than half of the Confucian scholars from Okjong-myeon. And they take up one third of the entire Confucian scholars from Hadong-gun. Based on the statistic data, we can establish that the center of Hadong Confucianism is Okjong-myeon, and in that area, Angye-ri has formed the core area. According to the aspects of formation of academic lines, Nammyeong School has 11, Hanju (寒洲) Affiliation has four, Nosa (蘆沙) Affiliation has five, Seongho (星湖) Affiliation has three, Wooam (尤庵) Affiliation has one, Hwaseo (華西) Affiliation has one, and the rest are six. Thus, according to the distribution of schools in Hadong-gun, Nammyeong School and Namin lines occupy the majority, and the next highest are literary men of Nosa Affiliation. About the transmission of Nammyeong studies in Hadong area, we can come up with the fact that Jinyanghassi Sajikgongpa (晉陽河氏 司直公派) scholars from Angye Village did transmit it by family learning. And we can also point out that scholars like Ha Dal-hong, Jeong Woo-bin, Jo Seong-ga, Choi Sook-min, Gang Byeong-ju, or Jeong Don-gyun did respect and emulate Nammyeong and tried to practice it even though they were from different academic lines or factions.

        Characterization of the European type of maternal lineage evident in extant Jeju native pigs

        Using a partial D‐loop sequence of mtDNA, an intensive analysis was conducted of the maternal lineages of Jeju native pigs (JNPs) from Korea. In total, 100 mtDNA sequences were obtained from Asian wild boars (AWBs), European wild boars (EWBs), Asian domestic pigs (ADPs), European domestic pigs (EDPs), and JNPs and were used for phylogeny and network analyses. Two distinct JNP groups - one (JNPA) in the Asian cluster and the other (JNPE) in the European cluster - were identified in the estimated phylogenetic tree and network. The maternal lineage of JNPE was the closest to that of EWB and a clear haplogroup was identified that shared an identical haplotype (hap04) among 15 individuals of JNPE and 2 individuals of EWB. A Landrace and an EWB shared hap03with a JNPE. EWB, Landrace, Large White, and Duroc formed two clear haplogroups with JNPE in a parsimonious medianjoining network analysis, suggesting that an obvious maternal contribution of EDP has occurred in JNPE in recent years. A pair‐wise mismatch analysis also indicated that JNPE may have experienced a sudden population expansion, suggesting a more recent establishment compared with the gradual population expansion of JNPA. The JNPE group therefore should be further evaluated in order to decide whether this group should be culled or accepted into further programs for maintenance of the JNP population as a pure breed.

        정상, 낭종 및 법랑아세포종 세포에서의 유전자 발현 차이 분석

        법랑아세포종은 1868년에 처음 보고된 이래 명칭, 발생기전, 분류 그리고 치료 방법 등에 관하여 수 많은 논란이 있어 왔는데 이는 법랑아세포종이 양성종양임에도 불구하고 종양자체의 진행이 파괴적이고, 외과적 처치를 한 후에도 재발이 잘되며, 흔하지는 않지만 악성종양과 유사하게 전이를 보이는 등 독특한 특성을 지니고 있기 때문이다. 정상세포와 암 세포 간에 차이를 보이는 유전자 혹은 정상세포에서 변형이 일어날 때 특이적으로 발현하는 유전자의 분리 및 분석하는 것은 암세포의 생성과정을 이해하는데 있어서 중요한 열쇠를 제공할 수 있다. 이에 본연구는 RNA differential display 방법 중 재연성과 반복성이 개선된 Ordered differential display(ODD)RT-PCR과 보다 개선된 GeneFishing™기술을 이용하여 악성과 양성종양 사이의 유전자 발현의 차이를 조사하고, 특이 유전자의 profile을 확보하고자 하였다. GeneFishing™기술과 RT-PCR을 수행한 결과 nasopharyngeal carcinoma gene을 제외한 9개의 유전자는 악성에서 특이적으로 발현되는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 GeneFishing™을 이용하면 각 시료간의 mRNA 상에서 발현차이를 보이는 DEG를 비교 분석하면 암관련 유전자, 항생제 내성 유전자, 그리고 분화 관련 유전자들에 대한 연구가 용이하게 수행할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. Ameloblastoma is the most commonly occurring odontogenic tumor in oral cavity. Although most are benign epithelial neoplasm, they are generally considered to be locally aggressive and destructive, exhibiting a high rate of recurrence. The biological behavior of this neoplasm is a slowly growing, locally invasive tumor without metastasis, therefore malignant neoplasm, changed its histological appearance to carcinoma or showed distant metastasis, is only defined clinically. In this study, we identified the differentially expressed genes(DEGs) in stages under benign or malignant ameloblastoma compared with normal patient using ordered differential display(ODD) reverse transcription(RT)-PCR and GeneFishing™ technology. ODD RT-PCR is rather effective when the investigation of samples containing very small amounts of total RNA must be accomplished. ODD RT-PCR used the means of amplification with anchored T-primer and adaptor specific primer, bearing definite two bases at their 3' ends and so this method could display differential 3' -expressed sequence taqs(ESTs) patterns without using full-length cDNAs. Compared with standard differential display, ODD RT-PCR is more simple and have enough sensitivity to search for molecular markers by comparing gene expression profiles. However, this method required much effort and skill to perform. GeneFishing™ modified from DD-PCR is an improved method for detecting differentially expressed genes in two or more related samples. This two step RT-PCR method uses a constant reverse primer(anchor ACP-T) to prime the RT reaction and arbitrary primer pairs(annealing control primers, ACPs) during PCR. Because of high annealing specificity of ACPs than ODD RT-PCR, the application of GeneFishing™ to DEG discovery generates reproducible, authentic, and long(100bp to 2kb) PCR products that are detectable on agarose gels. Consequently, various DEGs observed differential expression levels on agarose gels were isolated from normal, benign, and malignant tissues using these methods. The expression patterns of the some isolated DEGs through ODD RT-PCR and GeneFishing™ were confirmed by Northern blot analysis and RT-PCR. The results showed that these identified DEGs were implicated in ameloblastoma neoplasm processes. Therefore, the identified DEGs will be further studied in order to be applied in candidate selection for marker as an early diagnosis during ameloblastoma neoplasm processes.

        통신서비스의 늦은 수요 확산 현상에 관한 연구 : Fax 서비스를 중심으로 Focused on the Fax Markets

        Telecommunication services are distinctive in that their adoptions are influenced by network effect resulting in 'the late take-off phenomenon' and the 'critical mass' problem. In this paper we examined, so called, 'the late take-off phenomenon' in the diffusion process of telecommunication services. We compared the parameters of the diffusion process of consumer durables with those of fax services in the US and Korea. By analyzing the parameters of a new diffusion model based on the threshold model proposed by Markus, we found that 'the late take-off phenomenon' resulted from the low heterogeneity of the threshold distribution for the potential adopters. A simulation approach was proposed for the theoretical implication of the 'critical mass' problem in the start-up telecommunications services.

        정량적 게이트 심근관류 SPECT

        Myocardial perfusion imaging has been increasingly used to provide prognostic data and guidance on the choice of appropriate management of patients with known or suspected coronary arlery disease. The electrocardiogram gated myocardial SPECT program is coming into wide use with an advent of ^(99T)Tc-labeled tracers and an improvement of SPECT machines. The gated technique permits measurement of important cardiac prognostic indicators without any further discomforts or radiation burden in patients underwent standard myocardial perfusion SPECT. In addition, gated study significantly improves diagnostic yield by reducing the number of borderline interpretations and could find myocardial stunning and viable myocardium. Gated single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging allows the automated calculation of end-diastolic volume, end-systolic volume, ejection fraction, myocardial mass and the assessment of regional wall motion and thickening. and it have dramatically improved assessment of coronary arlery disease in routine nuclear practice. This allows the simultaneous assessment of both perfusion and function within the same acquisition, and serves as a cost-effective technique for providing more diagnostic data with fewer diagnostic tests. Because the diagnostic and prognostic power derived from knowledge of left ventricular function can be added to that provided by assessing myocardial perfusion, gated SPECT imaging has rapidly gained widespread acceptance and is now used on a routine clinical basis in a growing number of laboratories. including South Korea. The gated SPECT technique for measurement of left ventricular parameters has been validated against a variety of well established techniques. In this work, overview of gated myocardial perfusion SPECT focus on functional parameters is presented.

        응급실에서 시행된 기관내 삽관의 현황

        Background : The purpose of this study was to analyze the endotracheal intubation cases performed in the emergency department. Methods : We investigated retrospectively 326 cases of endotracheal intubation performed in the emergency department of a tertiary care center form April 1, 1998 to March 31, 1999. We focused on operators, medications used, its success rate and immediate complications, and the relationship between its success rate and medications. Results : Of 326 consecutive intubations, 193 patients(59.2%) were done by emergency medicine residents or attending physician. While 320 patients(98.2%) were successfully intubated, 6 patients could not be intubated and 2 patients underwent tracheostomy. Of 50 cases of intubations(15.3%) attempted with paralyzing agents, 48 cases were done with succinylcholine and 46 cases underwent by emergency physicians. Intubations with neuromuscular paralysis resulted in high success rates at the first attempt. Of 55 immediate adverse events were encountered in 47 patients(desaturation=17, bronchial intubation=15, hypotension=8, bradycardia=4, cardiac arrest=2, others=5). Conclusion : At this institution, paralyzing agents were used infrequently, but almost all of them were used by emergency physicians.
