Small bowel leiomyoma is a rare tumor which may occur wherever smooth muscle is present. The small bowel is the most common site and it makes up 20~30% of all benign small intestinal neoplasms. A spectrum of symptoms are common ranging from nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, to massive intestinal bleeding. Bleeding is the most common symptom and is usually gross and recurrent. Occasionally it may be life threatening. But, the most serious problem is both the absence of specific clinical symptoms, and the difficulties shown in radiological diagnostics of the small bowel. If conventional diagnostic methods fail to reveal any positive findings for gastrointestinal bleeding, the diagnosis of intestinal leiomyoma should be suspected and an SMA angiography shoud be performed. The angiographic criteria of small bowel leiomyoma is very characteristic. We present a case of leiomyoma with considerable and prolonged gastrointestinal bleeding, which was diagnosed by angiography. A 61-year old woman was admitted with a history of melena over the last 10 days. An SMA angiography showed a hypervascular mass with a diameter of 3×3cm. A segmental resection was performed under the impression of the gastrointestinal bleeding due to leiomyoma of the small bowel. Microscopic examination of the lesion shows interlacing or whorl bundles of spindle shaped ces and no mitosis.

Pancreatic pseudocysts usually develop as a complication of acute pancreatitis or repeated attacks of chronic pancreatitis. Pseudocysts may also develop as a result of traumatic injuries or neoplasms. An uncommon complication is massive hemorrhage inside the pancreatic pseudocyst. The exact mechanism of hemorrhage is unknown. Enzymatic digestion, pressure erosion from the cyst mass or a combination of these processes may play an important role. Gastrointestinal hemorrhage associated with a pancreatic pseudocyst can occur in 10 percent of cases. When hemorrhage occurs because of erosion into a blood vessel involved in the pseudocyst, surgery is indicated since the episodes of hemorrhage are often severe and may even be fatal. When there is colonic involvement, various complications may occur. The most dangerous one is spontaneous rupture into the colon, which requires immediate surgical treatment because of high incidence of fulminating sepsis or massive hemorrhage. We examined a sixty eight-year-old man complaining of hematochezia and dizziness, and reported that it was a case of massive lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage caused by pseudocyst of the pancreas ruptured into the colon associated with chronic pancreatitis. On operative findings, the peripancreatic fatty tissue had severe adhesions to transverse colon and tail portion of pancreas, where the pseudocyst had formed. A distal pancreatectomy, splenectomy and resection of transverse colon were performed. By microscopic examination, hemorrhagic necrosis and inflammatory change were observed in the pancreas specimen. The tail portion of pancreas had a 6×6 cm sized cystic mass and was proven to be a pseudocyst with no epithelial lining.

커피찌꺼기로부터 제조한 활성탄을 이용하여 질산성질소를 흡착제거할 경우의 동역학적 계수들을 산정하였다. 활성탄을 이용하여 질산성질소를 흡착제거할 경우, 접촉시간 90분후에 안정화 상태에 도달하였고, 약 120분후에 평형상태에 도달되었다. 접촉시간 120분에서의 평형농도는 활성탄 10 g/L 주입시 4.1 mg/L, 20 g/L 주입시 1.4 mg/L, 30 g/L 주입시 1.0 mg/L, 40 g/L 주입시 0.9 mg/L, 50 g/L 주입시 0.5 mg/L로 나타났다. 흡착속도는 pseudo second order kinetic model로 계산할 수 있었다. 등온흡착 모델은 Freundich식 및 Langmuir식에 잘 적용되었고, Freundich식에서 구한 흡착지수 1/n= 0.11, Langmuir식에서 구한 정수 A=1.82, B=1.04로 나타났다. Adsorption experiments were carried out by activated carbon that was manufactured from exhausted coffee, to find out kinetics coefficient of nitrate adsorption. The equilibrium state of nitrate adsorption was arrived after 120 minutes. At that time, the equilibrium concentration of nitrate were determined to 4.1 mg/L, 1.4 mg/L, 1.0 mg/L, 0.9 mg/L, 0.5 mg/L on each activated carbon dosage of 10 g/L, 20 g/L, 30 g/L, 40 g/L, 50 g/L. The adsorption velocity could be calculated by pseudo second order kinetic model. The adsorption equilibrium equation was adaptable to Freundlich equation and Langmuir equation both. The exponent 1/n for Freundlich equation was proved 0.11, and the fixed number A and B for Langmuir equation was determined to 1.82, 1.04.

This study was conducted to study the effect of hatching time, and body measurements on the body weight by age. The shank length has major effect on the body weight at 4 weeks of age and the keel length had for the body weight at 6 and 8 weeks of age. Since the R² values of the models were highest when the shank length, keel length and the hatching time were considered to the body weight at 6 weeks of age or when the shank length and keel length were considered, broiler breeders could be selected as early as 6 weeks of age.

본 연구의 목적은 숲에서 유아들의 자유놀이가 유아의 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 이 연구를 위해 제주시 H 유치원의 만 4세 유아 24명이 참여하였다. 참여자들은 매회 2시간씩 자신들의 흥미와 요구에 따라 자발적으로 숲에서의 자유놀이를 하였다. 이 자유놀이는 매주 2회씩, 총 12주에 걸쳐 수행되었다. 숲에서의 자유 놀이활동의 효과를 검증하기 위해 전후검사 t-검증을 실시하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 숲에서의 자유놀이 활동은 유아의 사회성을 향상시켰다. 둘째, 숲에서의 자유놀이활동은 사회성의 하위요인인 협동성, 조망수용능력, 자 율성, 그리고 상호작용 모두에 유의한 향상을 가져왔다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 숲은 유아들 스스로 다양하고 새로 운 놀이를 만들 수 있는 풍부한 자연물을 제공하며, 숲에서의 이러한 놀이활동은 유아들 상호간에 활발한 교류를 통 해 원만한 친구관계를 형성하게 할뿐만 아니라 유아들의 사회성 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of infants’ free play in forests on the development of their sociality. The 24 infants of a kindergarten in Jeju city, who is four years old, participated in the research. Participants freely played in forests for two hours at each time according to their own interests and demands, and this play performed twice every week for total 12 weeks. The results are as followed. Firstly, the free play activities in forests improved the infants’ sociality. Secondly, the activities improved every sub-factors of the sociality such as cooperativeness, the acceptance of view, the free will, and the interaction. The results indicate that forests provide rich natural objects for infants to create various and new play by themselves. In addition, the free play activities in forests could build good inter-personal relationship through active interaction among the infants and lead positive impact on the development of their sociality.
島嶼間의 協力에 관한 硏究 : 濟州島를 中心으로 The Case of Cheju Island

Before modernization, islands offered shelter for people on voyages from high and rough seas. During the time of Imperialism, they were used as bases for invasion or defense. After the Second World War, they serve as places for exchanging industrial development. Generally speaking, the areas of agriculture, livestock industry, and marine product industry may be developed in islands. Also, islands are utilized as bases for ocean development and they may be developed as places for promoting the tourism industry. Internationalization of production and circulation of products, along with the advancement of transportation and communication, is forming more close relationships between islands, as well as between islands and continents. Islands have tendencies to form and preserve unique culltrues, distinguished from those of continents. Thus, they are influenced by the cultures of continents, but they exercise influence on them as well. In the late 20 century, many countries in the Pacific region, such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand, maintain active transaction not only with the American Continent but also among themselves, thus together unfolding the Pacific Era. At this point, Cheju, which is located at the center of the Far East, transacts and coooperates with other islands in the Pacific such as Hawii, Bali, Taiwan, and New Zealand. This will be beneficial not only for their economic and cultural development, but also for that of the whole Pacific region. From a broader perspective, it will also be a chance to make a contribution to the cultural development of the entire human race. Cheju pursues inter-island cooperation with other islands, within and outside the coontry to facilitate mutual interests, which is a general purpose of cooperation. The fact that Cheju is actively seeking inter-island cooperation with the islands in the Pacific, with the opening of the Asia-Pacific Era, reflects that is has a broad view and is actively pursuing its aim of playing an important role in the pacific Era. Expecting the coming of the Pacific Era, it is suspected that the islands in the Asia-Pacific region will promote cooperation through economic and cultural exdhange. They will also establish and strengthen mutually complementary roles and will have influence upon the nations on the continents along the Pacific. Then, it will be possible for these islands to play a leading role in the Pacifie Era and it is expected that Cheju will be taking a part in it.
