An Analytical Research about Parameter Influence on Large-Scale Anchorage Region with Multiple CFRP Cables

Bo Feng,Jitao Zhong,Hongming Li 대한토목학회 2021 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.25 No.2

This study investigates the mechanical properties of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) cable at the anchoring region where arrange the adhesive material with different mediums aiming at reducing the high stress concentration. The 3D finite element (FE) model was established based on cable force of 100t and 1000t, and its accuracy was verified by experimental results. The effects of geometrical dimensions and mediums stiffness on anchoring capacity of the cable was studied. The results show that the proposed anchorage gets high anchoring efficiency. The gradient variation of the stiffness of the adhesive material can effectively reduce the stress crest of the cable at the anchorage region. The distributions of the radial and shear stress of the cable at the anchorage region become comparatively flat with the increase in the number of segments. The variation stiffness and length ratio have the main influence on the stress of the cable in three orientations. Friction coefficient and internal taper have the secondary effects on the radial stress and the axial displacement. Anchor length and thickness of adhesive material only affect the radial stress. Anchorage design should primarily focus on the stiffness and length ratio of the adhesive material. The anchoring method proposed in this paper is helpful to anchor multi-tendon cables efficiently, and promote the application of high-capacity FRP cables in large-span spatial structure.

Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control of AC/DC Matrix Converter for Grid-Connected Battery Energy Storage Application

Bo Feng,Hua Lin 전력전자학회 2015 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.15 No.4

This paper presents a finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) strategy for the AC/DC matrix converter used in grid-connected battery energy storage system (BESS). First, to control the grid current properly, the DC current is also included in the cost function because of input and output direct coupling. The DC current reference is generated based on the dynamic relationship of the two currents, so the grid current gains improved transient state performance. Furthermore, the steady state error is reduced by adding a closed-loop. Second, a Luenberger observer is adopted to detect the AC input voltage instead of sensors, so the cost is reduced and the reliability can be enhanced. Third, a switching state pre-selection method that only needs to evaluate half of the active switching states is presented, with the advantages of shorter calculation time, no high dv/dt at the DC terminal, and less switching loss. The robustness under grid voltage distortion and parameter sensibility are discussed as well. Simulation and experimental results confirm the good performance of the proposed scheme for battery charging and discharging control.

IFIT1 Expression Patterns Induced by H9N2 Virus and Inactivated Viral Particle in Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells and Bronchus Epithelial Cells

        Bo Feng,Qian Zhang,Jianfang Wang,Hong Dong,Xiang Mu,Ge Hu,Tao Zhang 한국분자세포생물학회 2018 Molecules and cells Vol.41 No.4

IFIT1 (also known as ISG56) is a member of the interferoninducible protein with tetratricopeptide repeats (IFITs) family. IFITs are strongly induced by type I interferon (IFN), doublestranded RNA and virus infection. Here, we investigated IFIT1 expression in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and in human bronchus epithelial cells (BEAS-2Bs) induced by the H9N2 virus and inactivated viral particle at different time points. We also investigated the effect of H9N2 virus and viral particle infection on IFN-α/β production, and assessed whether hemagglutinin or neuraminidase protein induced IFIT1 expression. Results showed that both H9N2 virus infection and viral particle inoculation induced the expression of IFIT1 at mRNA and protein levels in the two cell lines. Hemagglutinin or neuraminidase protein binding alone is not sufficient to induce IFIT1 expression. Surprisingly, the expression patterns of IFIT1 in response to H9N2 virus and viral particles in the two cell lines were opposite, and production kinetics of IFN-α/β also differed. An additional finding was that induction of IFIT1 in response to H9N2 virus infection or viral particle inoculation was more sensitive in HUVECs than in BEAS-2Bs. Our data offers new insight into the innate immune response of endothelial cells to H9N2 virus infection.

The Difference Between Nicardipine and Its Enantiomers on Inhibiting Vasoconstriction of Isolated Rabbit Thoracic Artery

        Sicen Wang,Langchong He,Bofeng Yun 대한약학회 2005 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.28 No.3

The present study was designed to study the difference effects between nicardipine and its two enantiomers on thoracic artery of rabbit. A high-performance liquid chromatographic method was used to prepare the two enantiomers of nicardipine. The thoracic artery of rabbit was removed. The vessels were cut into 3 mm in width and 15 mm in length spiral strips and immersed into tissue baths. The concentration-response curves of nicardipine and its enantiomers were obtained by cumulative administration of the vasoconstrictors. Nicardipine and the enantiomers could shift the dose-response curves of NE, KCl or CaCl2 to right in a nonparallel manner and decrease the maximum effective in a concentration-depended manner, respectively. The pD2' value of R-(-)-nicardipine showed significantly effective than that of nicardipine and S-(+)-nicardipine (P<0.01). There was not obviouse difference between the pD2' value of nicardipine and S-(+)-nicardipine (P>0.05). The results demonstrate that the stereoselective interaction between R-(-)-nicardipine and L-calcium channel receptor is more stronger than that of S-(+)-nicardipine.

Performance of Cone Meter for Measuring Cryogenic Fluid Considering Cavitation

        Denghui He,Zhuang Chang,Bofeng Bai,Senlin Chen,Pengcheng Guo 한국유체기계학회 2019 International journal of fluid machinery and syste Vol.12 No.1

The performance of the cone meter when measuring the cryogenic fluid was investigated by numerical simulation. The results show that the discharge coefficient and pressure loss coefficient of the cone meter are almost constant when the Reynolds number in the “stable region”. The cryogenic fluids, especially the liquid hydrogen, have wider stable Reynolds number ranges than the water. There is little effect of cavitation on the discharge coefficient and pressure loss coefficient at the initial stage of cavitation. Thus the effect of slight cavitation on the measurement error of the flow rate is small, whose relative error is less than ±0.5% in present cases. This study opens a new avenue for measuring the flow rate of the cryogenic fluid.

Effects of a naturally derived surfactant on hydrate anti-agglomeration using micromechanical force measurement

Mingzhong Li,Sanbao Dong,Bofeng Li,Chenwei Liu 한국공업화학회 2018 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.67 No.-

The performance of a hydrate anti-agglomerant (AA) on cyclopentane (CyC5) hydrate anti-agglomeration at various concentrations (0–1 wt%, based on the oil phase) using MMF apparatus has been investigated. At low AA concentrations up to 0.01 wt%, the AA reduces the cohesion force (capillary force) by reducing the CyC5-water interfacial tension. At concentrations higher than 0.1 wt%, hydrate hydrophobicity alternation and AA’s thermodynamic inhibition effects are the main part of AA’s mechanism. Additionally, a “temporary agglomeration” phenomenon caused by surface melting of the hydrate particles is also observed, which may indicate the AA’s weak ability to produce stable water-CyC5 interface.

        Aggressive Angiomyxoma: an Unusual Presentation

        Geng Junzu,Cao Bofeng,Wang Liping 대한영상의학회 2012 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.13 No.1

Aggressive angiomyxoma is an uncommon mesenchymal myxoid tumor that is characterized by slow growth and frequent local recurrence. It is currently regarded as a nonmetastasizing tumor. We describe a case of recurrent aggressive angiomyxoma with invasion into the veins including the inferior vena cava and the right atrium and with pulmonary metastases. Our case, together with those unusual cases documented in previous reports, may lead to a reappraisal of the nature of aggressive angiomyxoma.

      • Time Related Association Rules Mining for Traffic Prediction based on Genetic Network Programming combined with Estimation of Distribution Algorihms

        Yang Wang,Shingo Mabu,Huiyu Zhou,Xianneng Li,Kaoru Shimada,Bofeng Zhang,Kotaro Hirasawa 제어로봇시스템학회 2009 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2009 No.8

In this paper, a method of time-related classas sociation rule mining is proposed based on Genetic Network Programming(GNP) combined with Estimation of Distribution Algorithms(EDAs). The reare two important points in this paper: The first important point is to combine GNP with Estimation of Distribution Algorithms which are a novel evolution strategy. The second important point is that three kinds of probability models have been put for ward for generating new individuals. The aim of this paper is to extract more interesting association rules and to improve the traffic prediction accuracy by combining Genetic Network Proramming with Estimation of Distribution Algorithms. We applied the proposed data mining algorithm to traffic system sin order to predict the traffic volume in future. The simulation results show that our proposed method is effective compared with the conventional method based on GNP.
