Doping of Nd distorts the lattice structure of CeO2, increases the lattice strain and expands the lattice. Oxygen vacancies and other ceria related defects contribute to the lattice strain. Shifting and broadening of the F2g Raman peak of doped sample, compared to pure CeO2, is indicative of local structure distortion on doping. Dopant induced enhancement of oxygen vacancies, in the CeO2 lattice, is further confirmed by the generation of a new Raman peak at 543 cm1 that is otherwise absent in the pure one. UVevis spectroscopy gives an understanding of the different types of fef electronic transition of Nd in the crystalline environment of CeO2. Effective band gap of CeO2 reduces upto Nd concentration of 2.5%. The band gap, however, increases at 4% of Nd due to BursteineMoss shift. Photoluminescence intensity of pure CeO2 decreases with Nd concentration owing to the increase in the number of non radiative oxygen vacancies. These vacancies act as luminescence quencher and reduce the emission intensity. Photoluminescence excitation spectra confirm the presence of these oxygen vacancies in the CeO2 nanocrystallites.
Development and characterization of mouth dissolving tablets of prednisolone
Biswajit Basu,Ketan R. Aviya,Amitava Bhattacharya 한국약제학회 2014 Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation Vol.44 No.2
Prednisolone is a glucocorticoid with the generalproperties of the corticosteroids. It is used as antiinflammatoryor immunosuppressive agent in asthmaticcondition mostly in pediatric and geriatric population. Sothe present investigation was conducted with an aim of toformulate a taste masked patient friendly dosage form i.e. mouth dissolving tablets of prednisolone. In this study, taste masking of drug was critical parameter for this study. Masking of bitter taste of prednisolone was carried outusing techniques like preparation of solid dispersion withPEG 6000, complex formation with Indion-204 resinand b-cyclodextrin. Among them complex prepared fromb-cyclodextrin in weight ratio 1:4 was optimized basis ontaste panel evaluation and drug release from complex. Asuccessful taste masking of complex was confirmed bytime intensity method and also by taking drug release insimulated gastric fluid and in simulated salivary fluid. Thevalues of pre-compression parameters evaluated, werewithin prescribed limits and indicated good free flowingproperties. Tablets optimization was carried out through 32full factorial designs, concentration of superdisintegrantslike croscarmellose sodium and sodium starch glycolate asindependent variable. Whereas wetting time, disintegratingtime and cumulative percentage of drug release as dependentvariable. The data obtained of post-compressionparameters such as weight variation, hardness, friability, wetting time, water absorption ratio, content uniformity, disintegration time and dissolution was found withinspecified limit. Prepared check point batch having disintegratingtime 16.12 s and drug release 98.34 after 30 minwas selected as optimized formula. This formula wascompared with marketed formulation and was found betterdisintegration and drug release property. Optimized formulationwas subjected for accelerated stability study asper ICH guideline.

A mixture of several bacterial metabolites (Sterodin^ⓡ) was used to study its effect on major immunocytes, in vivo and in vitro. This mixture of bacterial metabolites increased number of macrophages and neutrophils and their phagocytic activity in experimental animals for a transient period. BSA induced antibody production was found to be higher in the drug treated group. These results indicated that the bacterial metabolites probably acted through non-specific defence mechanism against invading organisms and the chance of reinfection was reduced.
On the uniqueness of certain type of shift polynomials sharing a small function
Biswajit Saha 강원경기수학회 2020 한국수학논문집 Vol.28 No.4
In this article, we consider the uniqueness problem of the shift polynomials $f^{n}(z)(f^{m}(z)-1)\displaystyle\prod_{j=1}^{s} f(z+c_{j})^{\mu _{j}}$ and $f^{n}(z)(f(z)-1)^{m}\displaystyle\prod_{j=1}^{s} f(z+c_{j})^{\mu _{j}}$, where $f(z)$ is a transcendental entire function of finite order, $c_{j} (j=1, 2, ..., s)$ are distinct finite complex numbers and $n(\geq 1),$ $m(\geq 1),$ $s$ and $\mu _{j} (j=1, 2, ..., s)$ are integers. With the concept of weakly weighted sharing and relaxed weighted sharing we obtain some results which extend and generalize some results due to P. Sahoo [Commun. Math. Stat. 3 (2015), 227-238].
Schwannoma of the uterine cervix: a rare case report
Biswajit Dey,Sairem Mangolnganbi Chanu,Jaya Mishra,Evarisalin Marbaniang,Vandana Raphael 대한산부인과학회 2019 Obstetrics & Gynecology Science Vol.62 No.2
Schwannomas are neurogenic tumors, which are among the most varied tumors with respect to morphology, clinicalassociations, and presentations; they occur in a wide variety of sites. The uterine cervix is a rare site of occurrence andonly 15 cases of schwannomas of the uterine cervix, including 5 benign and 10 malignant cases, have been reportedto date. Thus, schwannomas of the uterine cervix may pose diagnostic difficulty. Here, we report a case of benignschwannoma of the uterine cervix in a 37-year-old female, who presented with vaginal spotting.
Corporate social responsibility and revenue sharing policy for a dual-channel buyback contract
Biswajit Sarkar,Rekha Guchhait 대한산업공학회 2021 대한산업공학회 춘계학술대회논문집 Vol.2021 No.6
Industries nowadays are participating in social development to improve the standard of living. There are several criteria to balance economic growth and social development. Besides, the pattern of business is changing every day based on the circumstance. The use of online channels among people is increasing gradually. A manufacturer opens both possibilities of the traditional channel as well as the online channel. In the traditional channel, the manufacturer is in a buyback contract with the retailer. The manufacturer is in direct contact with customers through the online channel. The manufacturer uses returned products from the retailer for social welfare through corporate social responsibility. For the coordination business, the manufacturer shares revenue with the retailer. Stackelberg’s game strategy is used to find the leader and follower of the supply chain in the non-coordination case. The classical optimization technique finds optimal solutions. An example is given to validate the mathematical model numerically.

Neurogenic tumors are the most prevalent tumors of the mediastinum, and schwannomas are the most common type of neurogenic tumor. Primary neurogenic neoplasm of the esophagus is uncommon and malignant schwannoma of the esophagus is extremely rare. We report a case of a 27-year-old female presenting with dysphagia and palpitations who was found to have a lobulated tumor in the mediastinum that was compressing the esophageal lumen. The tumor was successfully treated surgically without recurrence. The final diagnosis, on histopathological examination of the specimen, was malignant schwannoma.
MONETARY, REAL SHOCKS AND EXCHANGE RATE VARIATIONS IN INDIA
BISWAJIT MAITRA 중앙대학교 경제연구소 2016 Journal of Economic Development Vol.41 No.1
This article examines how a rate of the change of the exchange rate as well as how a rate of the change of the expected exchange rate are related to the unanticipated change in domestic money supply and output. Empirical analysis involves quarterly time series of the rupee/US dollar exchange rate, the narrow money M1, the broad money M3 and output in India under the market based exchange rate regime. The paper testifies exchange rate overshooting phenomenon where both unanticipated M1 and M3 cause variations and depreciation of rupee. Some evidence of the causal role of unanticipated output is observed. The rupee is found to be sensitive with both unanticipated money and output shocks where the impact of money shocks is stronger than output shocks.
