Research on Control Strategy of Hybrid Energy Storage System with Optical Storage Microgrid

        Zhu Zuo-Bin,Sun Shu-Min,Ding Yue-Ming,Huang Shao-Ping 대한전기학회 2023 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.18 No.4

With the aim of improving the robustness of the hybrid energy storage system(HESS) and avoiding overcharging and reasonably managing state of charge (SOC), this paper proposed a HESS control strategy employing integral backstepping (IBS) method based on SOC. Firstly, on the basis of the hybrid energy storage control strategy of conventional filtering technology (FT), the current inner loop PI controller was changed into an controller employing IBS method to improve the robustness shown by the energy storage system (ESS) against system parameter perturbation or external disturbance. The current controller of the HESS employing inner loop integral backstepping method was designed and the Lyapunov stability was proven. Secondly, to avoid overcharging and over-discharging of the HESS and to reasonably manage SOC, an energy management strategy based on SOC was proposed to generate the current reference value of the inner loop controller employing integral backstepping method, and the energy management strategy based on SOC was designed as well. Finally, the simulation model of the HESS employing integrated backstepping method based on SOC was established, and the feasibility of this method was verified through simulation. It was shown by the results obtained from the simulation that the HESS control strategy employing integrated backstepping method based on SOC had greater anti-interference ability and improved the robustness of the system, in comparison with the control strategy of FT (PI) and FT (IBS) hybrid energy storage. In the meanwhile, the upper and lower limits of SOC of the ESS are supposed to be managed to avoid overcharging and over-discharging and to extend the life of the ESS.

      • Predictive V16alue of Thymidylate Synthase Expression in Gastric Cancer: A Systematic Review with Meta-analysis

        Hu, Hua-Bin,Kuang, Lei,Zeng, Xiao-Min,Li, Bin,Liu, En-Yi,Zhong, Mei-Zuo Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.1

Purpose: The relationship between thymidylate synthase (TS) expression and outcomes in gastric cancer (GC) patients remains controversial, although most studies reported poor survival and reduced response to fluoropyrimidine were related to high TS in tumors. We carried out a systematic review of the literature with meta-analysis to estimate the predictive value of TS expression from published studies. Methods: We indentified 24 studies analysing the outcome data in gastric cancer stratified by TS expression. Effect measures of outcome were hazard ratios (HRs) for overall survival (OS) and event-free survival (EFS), or the odds ratio (OR) for overall response rate (ORR). HRs and ORs from these eligible studies were pooled using random-effects meta-analysis. Results: Fifteen studies investigated outcomes in a total of 844 patients with advanced GC, and nine studies investigated outcomes in a total of 1,235 patients with localized GC undergoing adjuvant therapy. Meta-analysis of estimates showed high TS expression was significantly associated with poor OS in the advanced setting (HR: 1.43, 95%CI: 1.08 - 1.90), and poor EFS in the adjuvant setting (HR: 1.53, 95%CI: 1.01 - 2.32). Subgroup analysis demonstrated TS expression to haves even greater value in predicting OS, EFS and ORR in advanced GC patients treated with fluoropyrimidine monotherapy (HR for OS: 2.32, 95%CI: 1.53 - 3.50; HR for EFS: 1.76, 95%CI: 1.19 - 2.60; OR for ORR: 0.32, 95%CI: 0.11 - 0.95). Conclusion: High levels of TS expression were asssociated with a poorer OS for advanced GC patients compared with low levels. In the adjuvant setting, high TS expression was also associated with a worse EFS. Additional studies with consistent methodology are needed to define the precise predictive value of TS.

Ursolic Acid-induced Apoptosis in K562 Cells Involving Upregulation of PTEN Gene Expression and Inactivation of the PI3K/Akt Pathway

        Bin Wu,Zhuo-gang Liu,Xu Wang,Zuo-fei Chi,Rong Hu,Rong Zhang,Wei Yang 대한약학회 2012 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.35 No.3

Ursolic acid (UA), a pentacyclic triterpenoid derived from a variety of medicinal plants, exhibits potent anticancer activity against many types of cancer cells. However, the anticancer mechanism of UA is not clearly understood. Suppression of phosphatase and a tensin homolog deleted on chromosome 10 (PTEN) gene expression leading to activation of the phosphatidylinositol-3-OH kinase (PI3K)/Akt pathway has been observed in many cancers including leukemia, making the PTEN gene and PI3K/Akt pathway a central target for cancer therapy. Here, we demonstrated that UA was able to inhibit growth, induce apoptosis in a human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line (K562 cells) via upregulation of PTEN gene expression, inhibit Akt kinase activity, change mitochondrial transmembrane potential and reduce the release of cytochrome c and the activity of caspases. These results suggest that UA may elicit its strong antitumor effects via upregulation of the PTEN gene and inhibition of the PI3K/Akt pathway.

      • THE APPLICATION OF FUZZY SET THEORY IN STATE ESTIMATION OF POWER SYSTEM

        Bin, Liu You,Zuo, Liu,Yan, Yue 대한전자공학회 1992 HICEC:Harbin International Conference on Electroni Vol.1 No.1

According to the bad data detection system based on fuzzy constrain set present by paper [2], this paper use it to estimation identifying method (EI method), The EI method usually identify bad data only by residual detection, and there are much other information may be used to identity bad data, such as man experience, measurement sudden changing etc. Before taking state estimation, a lot of bad data may be detected. So even if the measurement system is on adverse condition, we can also take state estimation reliably.

The YTHDC1/GLUT3/RNF183 axis forms a positive feedback loop that modulates glucose metabolism and bladder cancer progression

        Yan Bin,Li Xurui,Peng Mou,Zuo Yali,Wang Yinhuai,Liu Pian,Ren Weigang,Jinxin Liu 생화학분자생물학회 2023 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.55 No.-

Aberrant glucose metabolism is a characteristic of bladder cancer. Hyperglycemia contributes to the development and progression of bladder cancer. However, the underlying mechanism by which hyperglycemia promotes the aggressiveness of cancers, especially bladder cancer, is still incompletely understood. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification is a kind of methylation modification occurring at the N6 position of adenosine that is important for the pathogenesis of urological tumors. Recently, it was found that the m6A reader YTHDC1 is regulated by high-glucose conditions. In our study, we revealed that YTHDC1 is not only regulated by high-glucose conditions but is also downregulated in bladder cancer tissue and associated with the prognosis of cancer. We also showed that YTHDC1 suppresses the malignant progression of and the glycolytic process in bladder cancer cells in an m6A-dependent manner and determined that this effect is partially mediated by GLUT3. Moreover, GLUT3 was found to destabilize YTHDC1 by upregulating RNF183 expression. In summary, we identified a novel YTHDC1/GLUT3/RNF183 feedback loop that regulates disease progression and glucose metabolism in bladder cancer. Collectively, this study provides new insight regarding the pathogenesis of bladder cancer under hyperglycemic conditions and might reveal ideal candidates for the development of drugs for bladder cancer.

      • Photoactivation and inactivation of Arabidopsis cryptochrome 2

        Wang, Qin,Zuo, Zecheng,Wang, Xu,Gu, Lianfeng,Yoshizumi, Takeshi,Yang, Zhaohe,Yang, Liang,Liu, Qing,Liu, Wei,Han, Yun-Jeong,Kim, Jeong-Il,Liu, Bin,Wohlschlegel, James A.,Matsui, Minami,Oka, Yoshito,Lin American Association for the Advancement of Scienc 2016 Science Vol.354 No.6310

Cryptochromes are blue-light receptors that regulate development and the circadian clock in plants and animals. We found that Arabidopsis cryptochrome 2 (CRY2) undergoes blue light-dependent homodimerization to become physiologically active. We identified BIC1 (blue-light inhibitor of cryptochromes 1) as an inhibitor of plant cryptochromes that binds to CRY2 to suppress the blue light-dependent dimerization, photobody formation, phosphorylation, degradation, and physiological activities of CRY2. We hypothesize that regulated dimerization governs homeostasis of the active cryptochromes in plants and other evolutionary lineages.

Effects of Different Colored Light-quality Selective Plastic Films on Growth, Photosynthetic Abilities, and Fruit Qualities of Strawberry

        Xin Peng,Bin Wang,Xile Wang,Binbin Ni,Zhaojiang Zuo 한국원예학회 2020 원예과학기술지 Vol.38 No.4

Light quality regulates plant growth and photosynthesis, the drivers of fruit quality, and light quality can be controlled by colored light-quality selective plastic films in field production. To identify the optimal color of plastic film for high-quality strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) fruit production, plant growth, photosynthetic abilities, and fruit qualities were investigated under transparent (T), red (R), yellow (Y), green (G), blue (B), and purple (P) films. The R film showed the maximum promoting effects on leaf area, petiole length, leaf biomass, and shoot biomass. The R film improved photosynthetic abilities by increasing photosynthetic pigment content, quantum yield (φPo), electron transfer (Ψo and φEo), the density of reaction centers (RC/CSm), and the photosynthetic performance index (PIabs), and by decreasing the dissipation of absorbed solar energy as heat (φDo), while varied reverse effects were detected under other films. For fruit qualities, the R film also improved fruit weight and the content of total sugar, anthocyanin, and soluble protein. Therefore, the R light-quality selective plastic film should be suitable for strawberry production due to the promoting effects on plant growth, photosynthetic abilities, and fruit weight and quality.

      • Case-control Study of Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms of PSCA and MUC1 Genes with Gastric Cancer in a Chinese

Li, Fang,Zhong, Mei-Zuo,Li, Jian-Huang,Liu, Wei,Li, Bin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.6

Aims: A case-control study of 300 gastric cancer patients and 300 controls was conducted to investigate whether the polymorphisms rs2294008 in PSCA and rs2070803 in MUC1 might be associated with risk of gastric cancer in a Chinese population. Methods: Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were genotyped using the Sequenom MassARRAY platform. Results: The data showed that the rs2294008 TT genotype increased gastric cancer risk to an adjusted odds ratio (OR) of 2.26 (95%CI 1.25-4.07), TC to 1.72 (95%CI 1.23-2.42) and TC/TT to 1.81 (95% CI 1.31-2.50), while the rs2070803 GA genotype was associated with a decrease in risk to an adjusted OR of 0.42 (95% CI 0.28-0.62) and rs2070803 GA / AA to 0.46 (95% CI 0.32-0.67). Further stratification analysis revealed that rs2294008 in PSCA consistently increased risk of both intestinal and diffuse-type gastric cancers. The effect of rs2070803 in MUC1 was noteworthily also consistent with both subtypes. Conclusions: Our study suggested rs2294008 in the PSCA gene to be associated with increased risk of gastric cancer and rs2070803 in MUC1 to play a protective role in a Chinese population.

      • UHRF2 mRNA Expression is Low in Malignant Glioma but Silencing Inhibits the Growth of U251 Glioma Cells in vitro

        Wu, Ting-Feng,Zhang, Wei,Su, Zuo-Peng,Chen, San-Song,Chen, Gui-Lin,Wei, Yong-Xin,Sun, Ting,Xie, Xue-Shun,Li, Bin,Zhou, You-Xin,Du, Zi-Wei Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.10

UHRF2 is a member of the ubiquitin plant homeo domain RING finger family, which has been proven to be frequently up-regulated in colorectal cancer cells and play a role as an oncogene in breast cancer cells. However, the role of UHRF2 in glioma cells remains unclear. In this study, we performed real-time quantitative PCR on 32 pathologically confirmed glioma samples (grade I, 4 cases; grade II, 11 cases; grade III, 10 cases; and grade IV, 7 cases; according to the 2007 WHO classification system) and four glioma cell lines (A172, U251, U373, and U87). The expression of UHRF2 mRNA was significantly lower in the grade III and grade IV groups compared with the noncancerous brain tissue group, whereas its expression was high in A172, U251, and U373 glioma cell lines. An in vitro assay was performed to investigate the functions of UHRF2. Using a lentivirus-based RNA interference (RNAi) approach, we down-regulated UHRF2 expression in the U251 glioma cell line. This down-regulation led to the inhibition of cell proliferation, an increase in cell apoptosis, and a change of cell cycle distribution, in which S stage cells decreased and G2/M stage cells increased. Our results suggest that UHRF2 may be closely related to tumorigenesis and the development of gliomas.
