      • Lutembacher 증후군 환자 증례 보고

        Lutembacher's syndrome is rare combination of mitral stenosis (MS) and atrial septal defect (ASD). The hemodynamic interplay between the MS and ASD leads to wide variation of clinical presentation. Here we describe a 43-year-old female with Lutembacher's syndrome and tricuspid regurgitation with pulmonary hypertension, who underwent direct closure of ASD and tricuspid valvuloplasty successfully. We also reviewed other literatures in an effort to increase awareness of this condition.

        정면에서 평가한 한국인 여성 입술의 심미성과 전방 분절 골절단술 후 입술의 평가

        이 연구는 한국인 여자 유명 모델과 일반인의 정면입술의 차이점을 비교하여 아름다운 입술의 특징을 규명하며 양악 전방 분절골절단술을 시행한 환자에서 정면입술의 변화를 측정하고 그 수술 결과를 한국인 모델과 비교하여 차이점을 알아보고자 하였다. 한국인 유명 모델 30명, 일반인 26명과 양악 전방 분절골절단술을 받은 환자의 10명을 대상으로 정면입술 부위의 12개의 선 길이, 홍순의 5개의 각도와 둘레 및 면적을 측정하였고, 통계분석은 unpaired & paired t-test를 이용하였다. 한국인 유명 모델 군과 일반인 군의 비교에서 하안면 얼굴 폭경, 하안면 수직길이, 상홍순의 높이, 하순의 길이, 상홍순의 구각부 각도와 central bow의 각도는 의미 있는 차이로 일반인 군보다 유명 모델 군에서 작았다. 그러나, 입술의 폭, 하홍순의 높이, Cupid's bow tip간 거리와 하홍순의 구각부 각도는 유명 모델 군에서 컸고 입술의 둘레와 전체 면적에서도 일반인 군보다 컸다. 양악 전방 분절골절단술을 받은 환자의 정면입술에서는 하안면 얼굴 폭경, 상홍순의 높이, Cupid's bow tip에서 구각부까지의 길이와 상홍순의 면적이 통계적으로 의미 있는 변화를 보였고 한국인 유명 모델과의 비교에서 비슷한 수치를 나타내었지만 상순의 길이는 반대로 증가하였다. 연구의 결과는 교정치료 혹은 양악 전방 분절골절단술을 계획할 때 정면 입술 심미성을 평가하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 생각된다. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine firstly the characteristics of esthetic lips in Korean females and secondly to measure the changes of the lips before and after anterior segmental osteotomy in bimaxillary protruded patients. Methods: Samples consisted of 30 models and 26 nonmodels, and 10 patients who had received anterior segmental osteotomy. Twelve linear measurements, 5 angular measurements, and the lip perimeter and area were measured. These results were compared for each group using unpaired and paired t-tests. Results: Full face width, nose to chin, upper vermilion height and angle, lateral heights at the point of the tips of Cupid's bow, central bow angle, and the lower lip to chin lengths were significantly greater in nonmodels than in models. However, overall lip width, lower vermilion height and angle, tip-to-tip of Cupid's bow lip perimeter, and lower vermilion area were greater in models than in nonmodels. Comparison of before and after anterior segmental osteotomy revealed that the values for the upper vermilion and lateral heights, the angle to Cupid's bow tip lengths, and upper vermilion area of post-operative patients had become similar to those of Korean female models. Our findings demonstrated that Korean female models have a fuller lower vermilion & thinner upper vermilion compared with nonmodel controls, as determined by the vermilion heights, angles, and areas. Conclusions: It will be helpful for clinicians to use these measurements as guidelines for improving patients' facial esthetics.

      • Isopiestic 증류법에 의한 염산의 정제

        Hydrochloric acid used for rinsing and etching agents for semiconductor industry was purified by isopiestic distillation. Fifteen of the inorganic elements which appear to be critical for quality control were analyzed. The efficiency of purification was investigated by comparing the analytical data of purified products with the specifications of the electronic grade reagent. In order to prevent contaminations from air and containers in the preconcentration process necessary for the determination of ppb level impurities, sample was treated under the controlled system for contaimnation. Both of the atomic absorption and inductively coupled plasma spectrometries were employed for the determination of impurities.

        The copper and zinc in scalp hair are determined by the ICP-AES and the relations between the trace elements concentrations with disease activity for the rheumatoid arthritis are investigated. The concentrations of the metals are varied depending upon the distance from the skin. The concentrations at the distal are higher than that of the proximal. Zinc concentration of the rheumatoid arthritis patients is higher than that of the osteroarthritis ones, and the confidence level that the group are different lies 95-99%. However, copper concentration for rheumatoid arthritis patients is lower and the two groups are different with a 50-80% confidence level.

      • 제주도 연안 정치망 조업시스템 개발에 관한 연구 : 낙망에 의한 조업시스템 생력화 Studies for the Man Power Saving of Fishing System by Pound net

        제주도 연안 정치망의 조업시스템 생력화와 실용화를 목적으로 어군의 도피를 최대한 방지하고 양망작업이 용이하도록 개량 설계된 낙망어구를 제주도 북제주군 한경면 금등정치망 어장에 부설하고 실용화 및 조업시스템 생력화에 대하여 현장실험을 실시하였는데 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 낙망어구규모에 적합한 조업선을 기계화하여 1척의 어선으로 조업이 가능하였다. 2. 조업어선 선수미부 양망현에 양망기인 캡스턴을 설치하므로 조업인원 2∼3명으로도 양망작업이 가능하였다. 3. 망갈이 작업시 양망한 그물을 선상에서 적재하고 육상에서 양륙할 때 파워블록을 사용함으로써 작업효율을 높일 수 있었다. In order to obtain the fundamental data for the man power saving and the practical use of fishing system for a set net in the coast of Jeju island, a pound net designed for making hauling operation easier and preventing a school of fish from escaping was set up at a fishing ground in Geumdeung and a field experiment was carried out. The fishing operation was feasible with one boat mechanized for the pound net and the hauling operation was not made possible with 2-3 persons till a net haular, that is, a capstan was set up on the hauling side of the boat. In addition, a power block enhanced the efficiency of operation for hauling up the net on board or hauling down on land.

      • 콩의 개화기 전후 공급과 수용부위의 생장반응과 수량에 대한 질소의 효과

        This study was conducted to examine the nitrogen effects on the growth responses, the nodulation, and the distribution of dry weight of plant tissues at major growth stages before and after the flowering stage, and to evaluate the yield components and yields with different nitrogen levels. Hwangkeum cultivar(Glycine max L mereill) was cultivated under five different nitrogen levels, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, N Kg/10a. Stem length and branching number, which were investigated with different N levels at major growth stages, were rapidly increased for 14days for before and after the flowering stage compared to the other growth stages. They were clearly higher with treatment of 2 and 4 N kg/10a than those of other N treatments. Pod number was slightly increased from the flowering to beginning maturity. It was the highest in the treatment of 2 N Kg/10a. Comparing grain number per pod with different N levels, two grains per pod was much higher in all N treatments except for the treatment of 6 N Kg/10a. Dry weight of shoot(including leaf, stem, and pod) was rapidly increased from the flowering stage to the full seed stage and then gradually increased after the full seed stage, whereas the dry weight of root(including the nodule and root) was rapidly increased until to full pod stage and then linearly decreased from the full pod stage until the beginning maturity stage. Comparing dry weight with different N levels, the dry weight of shoot was the highest in the treatment of 4 N Kg/10a, while it of root was the highest in the treatment of 2N Kg/10a. The dry weight of nodule was the highest, 13.1 Kg/10a, at full pod stage. Comparing the dry weight of nodule with different N levels, it was increased to the application amount of 4 N Kg/10a and then clearly decreased with more application amount of N than 4 Kg/10a. The yield components which were mostly affected to the yield were pod number per plant and grain number per plant. They were 57.5 and 106.1, respectively, with treatment of 4 N Kg/10a, which showed the highest yield, about 266 Kg/10a. Comparing yield index with different N levels to the control, the yields with treatment of 2 and 4 Kg/10a were increased to 21% and 34%, respectively.

        This study was conducted to examine the nitrogen effects on the uptaken amounts and utilization of mineral nutrients between source and sink tissues at major growth stages before and after the flowering stage with different nitrogen levels Hwangkeum cultivar(Glycine max L Mereill) was cultivated under five different mtrogen levels, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 N kg/10a Comparing contents of total-N with different plant tissues at major growth stages before and after the flowering, total-N contents of leaves was gradually decreased from the flowering to the beginning maturity, while it of pod was continuously increased from the full seed to the beginning maturity Total-N content was higher in the treatment of 4 N Kg/10a that those of others The uptaken amount of N determined with different growth stage was rapidly increased maturity Higher proportion of uptaken N were into the leaves at the full seed stage, and they were transported from the leaves into pod at the beginning maturity stage Comparing major mineral elements of the leaves and the pod with different N leaves, in case of the leaves, the content of Fe, Mn, and Zn was decreased throughout the growth stages, whereas the content of Ca and Mg was decreased from the flowering to the full seed and then it was increased after the full seed stage In case of pod, the content of K, Fe, Mn, Zn, and Na was decreased from the flowering to the beginning maturity, while contest of Mg was increased.

      • Si₃N₄ 소결체의 미세조직과 파괴인성측정

        Pure fine β-Si₃N₄powdersand fine β-Si₃N₄powders containing 3wt% large particles were hot-pressed at 1700℃ for 0hr using Y₂O₃and MgO as aids. These were gas-pressure annealed at 1800℃ for 0.5hr and 1hr, respectively. As a result of experiments, the following conclusions can be drawn. 1) When the fine and uniform β-Si₃N₄powders were sintered and annealed, the micro-structure has kept uniform. 2) When the fine β-Si₃N₄powders containing large particles were sintered and annealed, the needle-like particles were grown and the fracture toughness was increased with incleasing annealing time. 3) The fracture toughness(Kic) of annealing specimens was two times larger than that of hot-pressed specimens.

      • Aluminum응집제들에 의한 금속이온들의 응집에 관한 연구

        Coagulation efficiencies of inorganic ions by aluminum based coagulants including alum, PAC, PACS were studied. Pb, As, Cu, Hg ions shows good coagulation efficiences with all the coagulants. Residual amount of Hg is also decreased by the precipitation as a hydroxide. The maximum coaulation efficiency is observed at the neutral pH and the efficiency is decreased with lowering pH, except Se. The coagulation efficiencis are decresed with an order of PACS, PAC, and alum. Cr, Cd shows lower coagulation efficiencies and Ni and Mn are not coagulated with all the coagulants.
